Brain Alert Review – Is It Effective?

Brain Alert Overview

Do you reach your cognitive potential on a daily basis?  Chances are you do not.  Well, there’s a pill for that.  They’re called smart drugs and they say they can improve your cognitive ability on all sorts of levels.  One such smart drug (or ADD/ADHD alternative as they are sometimes known) is Brain Alert.

The promise of Brain Alert is that with it, your productivity will increase as your energy levels go up and your ability to sort, store, maintain, and recall information increases. You’ll also experience an elevation of mood (with decreased stress and anxiety levels) and an better ability to focus and concentrate as more oxygen and blood are transported to and from your brain.

Brain Alert Ingredients and How They Work

The way Brain Alert is supposed to work is by improving the way oxygen is delivered to the brain and increasing the speed of communication between cells.  It increases neurotransmitter uptake which causes an elevation of mood, memory, concentration and energy.  There are also ingredients that perform an adaptogenic function, improving the body’s response to stress, both physical and mental.

Some of the ingredients in Brain Alert that perform these functions are:

  • Choline, Ginkgo Biloba, N-Acetyl Tyrosine, Gotu Kola, and DMAE for focus and concentration.  These compounds are known as nootropics, and they increase the uptake of neurotransmitters.
  • Folic Acid, Vinpocetine, Ashwaghanda, Acetyl l-Carnitine, and Huperzine A for memory.  Some of these ingredients are nootropics, some of them adaptogens.  They all function together to improve memory and concentration.
  • CoQ10 and R-Alpha Lipoic Acid are antioxidants to help protect the brain from damage caused by free radicals. Thiamine, Riboflavin, Methylcobalamin, Panax Ginseng, Pantothenic Acid, and Niacinamide are all there for energy increases to help you maintain the stamina and drive to achieve the goal.

brain alert reviewsThe dosage instructions are to take 1 to 3 capsules each morning.  You should start out with one and see if you need to up the dose after a few days.  It is recommended that you cycle Brain Alert on for 5 days then off for 2 so you don’t develop a tolerance.

  • There is a money-back guarantee.
  • It contains some brain boosting ingredients.
  • Brain Alert reviews by customers tend toward the positive.

Disadvantages of Brain Alert

  • The dosing schedule is a little complicated.
  • There is little information regarding the manufacturer.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Brain Alert online at the product website or Amazon.  If you buy at the product website, you’ll pay $34.95 for a month’s supply.  You can also sign up for a monthly subscription which will cost you $29.95 per month, a savings of $5 per bottle.  If you buy from the website, you’ll be covered by the 30 day money back guarantee.

Conclusion

In terms of both price and ingredients, Brain Alert falls pretty much in the middle.  There are, however, plenty of happy customers who’ve written about how much they get out of taking Brain Alert.  Combining all the factors known to us, we think Brain Alert is worth a go.  It seems to work for lots of people, and if it works for you, it could be a viable, affordable option.

BrainStack Review – Worth the Price?

BrainStack Overview

Looking around, you’ll find lots of so-called “smart drugs” made to improve your cognitive functioning, including memory, focus, and concentration.  The origin of these supplements is mainly as an alternative to ADD/ADHD prescription drugs, both as a way to combat ADD/ADHD and as a way to get the widely known and used “off-label” effects.  Let’s face it.  College kids are using these drugs to help them study and get ahead in droves.

BrainStack is one such supplement.  It was developed by a guy named Gabe Lee who became intrigued with the idea of nootropics (brain enhancing compounds) and decided to try to come up with a stack to combat his own ADD without the side effects of Adderall.  Once he found what worked for him, he figured there were others who’d want it, and began marketing and selling it.  This all gives BrainStack a bit of a grass roots feel that appeals to a lot of do-it-yourself-ers out there experimenting with their own stacks.  They want to see if BrainStack really is more effective and cost efficient than what they’ve been combining on their own, and in a lot of cases, they find it is.

BrainStack ReviewBrainStack Ingredients and How They Work

So here’s what they put in BrainStack. Most of these ingredients have scientific studies to one degree or another backing up their claims.  The hope is that they are stacked in the right amounts and combinations to have the most effectiveness:

  • Alpha GPC (choline) enhances memory, focus, attention, and cognitive ability.  It’s one of the most well-regarded nootropics there is.
  • Huperzine A also enhances memory and cognitive function and it has nueroprotective qualities as well.
  • Vinpocetine improves both long and short term memory while it increases alertness and preparedness.
  • Caffeine enhances focus and memory, increases energy and stamina and has mood enhancing qualities as well.
  • Bacopa Monnieri improves memory and concentration.  One recent study shows that it increased the speed of task mastery by almost half.
  • Pterostilbene reverses cognitive decline.
  • Mucuna Pruriens boosts energy and focus, while it also improves deep sleep as it naturally contains dopamine.
  • GABA also promotes a deep sleep and luci dreaming.  It reduces anxiety as well.
  • Oat Straw decreases depression and stress while it lowers blood pressure.
  • Vitamin B6 increases energy and regulates mood.
  • Vitamin B12 increases energy and decreases fatigue and stress.  It can also prevent mental decline that comes with age.
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine HCL is an antioxidant and reduces fatigue helping to produce energy within the body.

The recommended dose is 1 to 4 capsules per day.  They say you should start with 1 and increase as necessary according to your body size and as you build a tolerance.

BrainStack Pros and Cons

Advantages of BrainStack

  • There are lots of positive BrainStack reviewsout there.
  • There is a 60 day money back guarantee on your first purchase.
  • BrainStack contains several of the best regarded nootropics there are.

Disadvantages of BrainStack

  • They suggest you cycle off a few days each week to prevent a build up of tolerance.
  • BrainStack is expensive.
  • A bottle is only meant to be a 2 week supply.

Where to Buy

You can purchase BrainStack from the website.  A 2 week supply costs about $50.  You’ll save money on the per bottle price by buying a month’s supply which will cost you $90.  If you go with a 3 month supply at once, your per bottle price decreases to $39.

Conclusion

People who’ve used BrainStack really seem to like it. The biggest problem is the cost.  We think you can probably get what you need, something that works, for much less.

Craze Review – Best of the Best?

Craze Overview

Sometimes, the line between pre-workout supplements for bodybuilders and cognitive enhancing supplements for over-achievers gets a bit blurred.  It makes sense when you think about it.  Both categories are at least partially about increasing energy and focus so you can reach a particular goal. For bodybuilders it’s better workouts and pumps   For students and young professionals it’s better grades and promotions.

Craze is a supplement made by Driven Sports.  Its primary focus is bodybuilding.  It’s billed as a pre-workout powder that’ll help you get the best workouts of your life.  It claims to allow you to perform at your very best, giving you the size and strength support you need to take your performance to the next level.  Oh and by the way, it makes you feel amazing, with unrelenting focus you can count on.  That’s the part that appeals to the college crowd.  In addition to bodybuilders, students and others who want the energy, motivation, focus, and intensity to get the job done have turned to Craze in droves.

Craze ReviewCraze Ingredients and How They Work

The ingredient list shows a mix of traditional bodybuilding supporters and nootropic smart drug ingredients.  It starts with Vitamin C.  Then quickly moves on to the Kinesis Proprietary Blend which includes:

  • Creatine Monohydrate which creates muscle energy on demand.  Your muscles put out when you need them to.
  • Trimethylglycine (TMG) which makes muscles more resistant to fatigue.
  • Caffeine to lower fatigue, increase alertness, and enhance the mind-muscle connection.
  • Dendrobex which comes from Dendrobium, and ancient Chinese medicinal herb with the ability to strengthen the immune system and act as an energizer. It is thought that dendribium might be the next DMAA.
  • Phenylehylamine (PEA) which releases norepinephrine to increase motor coordination.  It also improves mood and may be responsible for the “runner’s high”.

Dosing instructions are to mix 1 or 2 scoops with 8 to 16 ounces of water about half an hour to 45 minutes before working out (or the time you expect to need the energy)  You shouldn’t use more than 2 scoops per day.  And you shouldn’t use Craze within 6 hours of when you want to go to sleep.  There are also a bunch of warnings about not using unless you are a healthy adult, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and not on any medication.  The label also states that you shouldn’t use Craze for more than 12 weeks at a time.

Craze Pros and Cons

Advantages of Craze

  • It is affordable.
  • There are tons of favorable Craze reviews on the bodybuilding forums from guys who love the effect they get.
  • There is a 30 day money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of Craze

  • A class action law suit has been filed, claiming that Craze contains amphetamines.
  • Plenty of reviewers say Craze makes them feel jittery and tweaked.
  • Not enough is known about some of the ingredients in Craze.

Where to Buy

You can find Craze offered at several online supplement sites.  A 30-serving tub goes for anywhere from $25 to $50 and comes in a number of different flavors, including grape and berry/lemonade.  If you buy it from the DS website, you’ll be covered by the 30 day guarantee.

Conclusion

The reviews for Craze are really positive, but there is definitely a black cloud hanging over this stuff right now.  Anytime there is something illegal or “extra” legal in a supplement, there’s cause for concern.  Especially when it’s undisclosed.  The price for Craze has recently come down.  While that’s good for affordability, it doesn’t bode well for the future of Craze.

Neuro 1 Review (UPDATED Nov. 2018): 3 BIG Reasons It Works

Neuro 1 Overview

Wouldn’t it be something to find that perfect supplement that would boost your brainpower into a different dimension? Focus for hours, experience real productivity, and supercharge your memory?

Well, that’s what many nootropics are claiming these days. If you don’t know what nootropics are, they’re essentially any substance that supports overall cognitive performance like focus, concentration, alertness, and even creativity. Some call ’em smart pills.

Nootropics are cognitive enhancing substances like Neuro 1
Image: drinkpreneur.com

I’ve tested lots of nootropics, so I know a thing or two about them. I’m able to discern which ones are worth your time, and which aren’t worth a dime. So naturally, when I first heard of Neuro 1 and it’s bold claims, I just had to learn more about it.

Neuro 1 calls itself a Mental Energy Dietary Supplement. These supplements go by lots of different names, but they’re all pretty much nootropics. Most of them are marketed to students and young professionals who have been taking Adderall and are driven to get ahead in school or in life.

Neuro 1 bottle
Image: nutrition53.com

This product, on the other hand, is marketed toward the workout crowd.

One look at the Neuro 1 website and you’ll see they really focus their marketing on giving you that mental edge that’ll amp up your workouts.

Curious much? Us too! Especially after we read all the positive Neuro 1 reviews from raving customers. We just had to see what all the buzz was about.

Neuro 1 nootropic seems to have lots of raving fans
Image: richtopia.com

So in this review we’ll take a close look at Neuro 1. You’ll learn exactly what you need to know about this supplement, including the ingredients it contains, if it works, how it works, and whether or not this is the right brain health supplement for your goals in business, school, or life.

What is Neuro 1?

A company called Nutrition53 makes this product, along with several other supplements of various stripes.

According to the folks at Nutrition53, Neuro 1 is exactly what you need if you wanna run mental circles around everyone else.

With Neuro1 you can improve mental clarity, focus, and stamina to run circles around others, or so the company claims
Image: someecards.com

“Neuro1 helps recharge the body and boost the brain! There are over 30 active ingredients in Neuro1, which helps you to increase your focus, mental clarity, long term and short term memory, cognitive thinking as well as give you a small energy boost. Neuro1 is an excellent daily use product.”

Honestly, that’s not a bad elevator pitch for a product. It gets down to business and tells us exactly what we can expect from taking it.

Neuro 1 brain health benefits
Image: nutrition53.com

The makers of the product list benefit after benefit on their website. They really make it out to be some sort of a miracle pill. Among the benefits you can hope to achieve are:

  • Sharper recall and memory
  • Improved sports performance
  • Increased energy and focus
  • Enhanced mood and feeling of well-being
  • and the list goes on

Ugh, and I have to say it… they ALSO make “anti-aging” claims, which I never let slide. They say, “Neuro1 Mental Performance Formula is the first premium anti-aging brain focus supplements that dramatically increases circulation and blood flow for maximum brain power.” We’ll just see about that.

Neuro 1 brain booster bottle
Image: nutrition53.com

The question is, does the ingredient profile agree? In other words, are the individual ingredients in Neuro 1 truly capable of delivering on these promised results? Well, let’s have a look.

Neuro 1 ReviewNeuro 1 Ingredients and How They Work

The first bunch of ingredients listed are mainly vitamins and minerals like: Protein, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc, Potassium, Biotin, and Sodium.

While these ingredients make it a nice energy vitamin supplement, in order to live up to its claims, it needs to offer a little something extra. Neuro 1 does this with their proprietary NeuroEnergetic Matrix™ blend, which includes 13,000 mgs of the following:

  • L-Gluatamine, according to WebMD, is often used for ADHD (Source)
  • Bacopa is thought to help with anxiety, and might also “safely enhance cognitive performance” (Source)

nootrobox-rise-bacopa-image

  • L-Tyrosine helps to prevent mental decline for those under severe stress, such as active military (Source)
  • Creatine helps produce energy in the body (Source)
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine is an antioxidant for the brain and helps protect from oxidative damage (Source)
  • L-Theanine is shown to have “a significant effect on the general state of mental alertness or arousal” (Source)
  • Taurine is an antioxidant that combined with caffeine may improve mental performance.
  • DMAE is commonly used for mood enhancement and concentration (Source)
Alpha Lean 7 contains DMAE
Image: empowersperformance.com
  • Piracetam is the original nootropic which helps improve brain function.
  • Ginkgo Biloba is a nootropic that is thought to improve memory and cognitive ability, but studies are finding this is untrue (Source)
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid is an antioxidant that is recently showing some promise in the area of improved brain functioning.
  • Vinpocetine improves blood flow to the brain and has been shown to improve age-related memory impairment (Source)
  • Huperzia Serrata provides support for memory and learning (Source)
Huperzine is an ingredient in Excelerol
Image: alibaba.com
  • and other ingredients

Apparently, this is their “new and improved” formula, which actually sounds quite nice. They made an effort to reduce the sugar (which spikes energy), and include a prebiotic fiber (what’s good for the gut is good for the brain!), and they even made good on customer comments and improved the flavor.

Neuro1 has a new and improved formula for their cognitive health pills
Image: nutrition53.com

Overall, this ingredient profile is actually quite impressive. It seems well balanced, and with 13,000mgs of their proprietary blend, there are likely adequate amounts of each ingredient to really make it effective for cognitive performance.

Looking at the formula and seeing ingredients like Creatine and Carnitine side-by-side with L-theanine and Huperzine, you begin to see how this product might be an effective bridge between the physical and mental. That is to say, if you want to experience improved concentration and maximize your workouts, then Creatine and L-Theanine sound like a great combo for that!

Neuro1 ingredients are all natural
Image: fitnessandpower.com

BUT… while this sounds great in theory, is it possible to get results like they claim? Of course, the anti-aging just isn’t going to happen any way you cut it. This is simply a case of false-advertising and pretty damn shameful.

Even the term “anti-aging” alone should be enough to tell you that it is a dud, which is not to say that there aren’t products that can alleviate certain things that come with getting up in years, just don’t expect any of them to shake out quite in the way that the name would suggest and absolutely do not get your hopes up.

But what about the other claims? Can it really amp you up and keep you energized mentally and physically through your workouts? I’m leaning toward YES, but let’s see what the reviews have to say.

Neuro 1 User Reviews

User reviews for Neuro 1 nootropic
Image: nextadagency.com

Although there aren’t many reviews of Neuro one online, I was able to find some on the Nutrition53 website, the Vitamin Shoppe website, as well as on the Bodybuilding.com forum. And for the most part, people seem to be satisfied with the results they’re getting from this cognitive enhancer.

Obviously, the Neuro 1 nootropic reviews on the company’s website are almost all extremely positive. So I’ll just share one with you here. This guy’s focus and productivity is “through the roof… even after a night out.” But he’s also supplementing with a few other Nutrition53 products.

User review of Neuro 1 on the Nutrition53 website

Oh, and it looks like Joe Rogan is a fan of the stuff too! Take that for what it’s worth.

This next guy uses the product as an alternative to his morning coffee, and is thrilled about the pick-me-up power of the supplement. He goes on to say it gives him a great boost of energy and mental clarity without the jitters. However, he thinks the sugar content could be cut down some… as well as the price.

Positive user review of Neuro one
Image: vitaminshoppe.com

Next up we have a fellow who didn’t really see any cognitive boost results until about 3-5 weeks of consistent use of Neuro1. But once it started kicking in, he became super-alert in the mind, with an improvement in long-term memory. His only complaints are of little red spots appearing on his body, and a slight decline in short-term memory.

User review of Neuro 1 for focus and energy
Image: forum.bodybuilding.com

And finally, this last user saw huge improvements in memory and recall. He was happy that it gave him a steady flow of “intense workout worthy power,” while still being tolerable for a normal work day. He says that if you’re looking to hit the gym after a day in the office, this product is a good bet. But if you’re strictly looking for a brain-booster and not planning on working out, there are better supplements to take. And like the other reviewers, he wasn’t so thrilled about the steep price of Neuro1.

Neuro 1 vs. Alpha Brain

Neuro 1 vs Alpha Brain, which is the better nootropic?

If you’re looking for a mental edge, Neuro 1 isn’t your only option. There are other products like Memotenz and Alpha Brain that might work for you.

I’m not gonna lie, I was impressed with the Alpha Brain nootropic. Or at least their sleek marketing and web design. But around here, we don’t judge a product on how sexy it looks.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0oQFAS5s8k?controls=0]

So is there more to this product that makes it a better choice over Neuro 1?

Many nootropics on the market today talk a big game when it comes to ‘clincial trials’, but only few can back it up.

Alpha Brain puts the science around their product front and center. They don’t hide it deep in some obscure web page that nobody will ever visit. For me, this is a breath of fresh air and lends some serious credibility to their product right away.

Alpha Brain is clinically tested
Image: onnit.com

But let’s have a look at what’s in Alpha Brain, and if the clinical trials are even legit.

The ingredients aren’t all that different than Neuro one. This product contains L-Tyrosine, L-Theanine, Vinpocetine, Bacopa, and Huperzia… just like Neuro 1.

Alpha Brain Ingredients
Image: onnit.com

But remember, Neuro 1 is marketed toward the workout crowd, those who want the mental and physical stamina to hit the gym after a day of work. So it contains ingredients like Creatine, which you don’t find in the more strictly cognitive-boosting Alpha Brain nootropic.

Also, Alpha Brain contains 350mg of Cat’s Claw, an ingredient not found in Neuro 1.

Alpha Brain contains cat's claw

Cat’s Claw, according to the makers of Alpha Brain, is “a plant revered by traditional cultures for its antioxidant and immune-boosting properties.” But can it keep you focused and improve your memory? Well, Cat’s Claw might be effective for arthritis pain relief, according to WebMD, but there is insufficient evidence that it’ll help improve cognitive abilities. (Source)

Overall, the ingredients don’t jump out at me as amazing. So let’s have a look at these so-called studies.

Alpha Brain ingredients are not all that special
Image: https://me.me

Dr. Todd Solomon from the Boston Center for Memory led the research. After 6-weeks of taking Alpha Brain, they found users to have a “statistically better ability to recall words after a pro-longed period.” So, this nootropic is all about ‘verbal memory,’ but there was no mention about other improved cognitive traits like focus, concentration, or alertness.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f7ksDayTME?controls=0]

Also, the doctor admits the company that makes Alpha Brain, Onnit, hired out the study. So while it’s a paid study, the doctor really tries to emphasize how they held Onnit to the same standard they do ‘Pfizer’ and other big-name pharma companies. Take that for what it’s worth.

The price for a one-month supply of Alpha Brain is $50, which is actually a bit cheaper than Neuro 1. The product gets a paltry 3.3 stars from user reviews on Amazon.com, which is nothing to write home about. So I suppose if you’re really just trying to improve speech, this could be a nootropic worth a try. Otherwise I’d pass.

Neuro 1 FAQ’s

Who makes it?

I mentioned this briefly in the intro, but let’s dig a bit deeper into the manufacturer of Neuro 1 nootropic, Nutrition53.

Nutrition53 makes Neuro1 cognitive enhancer
Image: nutrition53.com

Nutrition53 was founded by Bill Romanowski, who’s “NFL career included an unprecedented 243 consecutive games highlighted by five Super Bowls.” During his 16th season in the pros, he suffered a major concussion that apparently robbed him of his memory.

So, as the story goes, “Bill brought together the world’s best doctors, scientists, and nutritionists to arrive at a formulation that would fully restore his mental function. The result was Neuro1, Nutrition53’s first formula.”

Bill Ramonowski of Nutrition53, the maker of Neuro 1
Image: nutrition53.com

Neuro one Bill Romanowski has since created several products that take care of a multitude of health and wellness concerns. In addition to nootropics, they have products for weight loss, muscle building, pain relief, insomnia, and the list goes on.

They are located in Lafayette, CA.

How do I take it?

Neuro 1 is a powder that you mix with water to make a shake. It comes in several flavors like Chocolate, Orange, and Watermelon (I hear neuro 1 orange is a decent flavor). The recommended dose is 1 scoop mixed with water 30 to 45 minutes before a meal, exercise, or any time you need to focus. The typical recommendation is to take one scoop in the morning and one in the afternoon.

When to use Neuro 1 brain health supplement
Image: nutrition53.com

How long does it take to work?

You should begin to experience the effects of Neuro 1 within 15-30 minutes of taking it. It’s fairly fast-acting, and should continue working in your system throughout the day.

Are there any side effects?

Leanbean has very few side effects

The ingredients are all-natural and the formula doesn’t contain anything that raises a red flag. Also, I didn’t see any complaints about side effects while reading through user reviews.

With that said, Neuro 1 does contain caffeine. And according to the maker of the product, the caffeine amount is equal to one strong cup of coffee. So if you have a sensitivity to stimulants, you should stay away from this product. But all in all, you should be fine in the side effects department.

Is it safe to take?

Yes, Neuro 1 is safe to take.

Alpha Lean 7 might not be safe as a fat burner
Image: 123rf.com

Where to buy Neuro 1?

You can purchase Neuro 1 through the company’s website. I also saw it for sale at Vitaminshoppe.com. As far as I know, there is no listing for the product on Amazon.

One nice thing about this product is that you can purchase it in small sample sizes before you commit to a big bottle of it.

You can buy Neuro1 from the company's website as well as from several online retailers
Image: nutrition53.com

How much is it?

Well… it’s not very cheap. The company offers it for about $55, and this is only a 15-day supply. If you sign-up for their “VIP” monthly subscription (auto-bill / auto-ship), you can score the product for $40. But, if you think of it in terms of a one-month supply, you’re spending upwards of $110! Or $80 on their VIP plan. Either way you slice it, that’s a good chunk of change.

This nootropic sells for $59.95 at Vitamin Shoppe.

Neuro1 costs about $55, but the more you buy the more you save
Image: nutrition53.com

Is there a guarantee?

Unfortunately, the company does not offer a guarantee on their products. Bummer.

Neuro 1 Pros and Cons

Advantages of Neuro 1

  • The formula contains several health vitamins and minerals.
  • It also contains several nootropics, or smart drug ingredients.
  • There are numerous favorable Neuro 1 reviews from customers who’ve used it.
Performix SST is a love it or hate it kind of supplement.
thereadersroom.org

Disadvantages of Neuro 1

  • It can get expensive if you use it regularly.
  • There have been no clinical studies.
  • There is no money back guarantee from the manufacturer.

Recommendation

If you want a pre-workout supplement that also gives you some mood and brain function support, Neuro 1 may be a good bet. Overall, the reviews are positive, the ingredients seem on-point for a nootropic, and it’s safe to take.

capsiplex pros and cons

Also, it may show some promise as an adderall replacement. Customers talk about the clean energy with the added benefit of clear thinking and laser focus.

But then there’s the price. If you take Neuro 1 as directed, you’ll need to buy two tubs each month… which isn’t cheap. So while Neuro 1 may deliver results, it may not be worth the price if you’re on a budget.

Alpha Brain Review – Brain Booster?

Alpha Brain Overview

The supplement manufacturer Onnit Labs calls Alpha Brain the first complete balanced nootropic.  What this can mean to you is:

  • Elevated focus and mental clarity
  • Remaining calm in stressful situations
  • Lucid dreams
  • Enhanced creativity
  • Better strategic planning

All told, you’ll perform both mentally and physically at optimal levels.  You’ll get in the zone and stay there, allowing you to function at levels you’ve never achieved before.

Because Alpha Brain is a nootropic, it can be classified as a non-prescription alternative to ADD/ADHD medications.  The Alpha Brain website, however, does not mention ADD/ADHD.  They have chosen to present their product instead as a tool to enhance energy, focus, and dreams.

Alpha Brain ReviewAlpha Brain Ingredients and How They Work

All the ingredients and amounts are listed on the Alpha Brain website. They include:

  • Vitamin B6 helps with several bodily functions including the production of serotonin and dopamine.
  • Alpha GPC (choline) increases the secretion of acetylcholine which is linked to memory, focus, and REM sleep states.
  • Huperzia Serrata makes more acetylcholine available to the brain by inhibiting its breakdown.
  • Vinpocetine increases circulation and blood flow which increases the amount of oxygen delivered to the brain.
  • AC-11 is a proprietary compound which has been shown to help the body naturally repair DNA.
  • Bacopa Monniere has been used for centuries in India to enhance clear thinking.
  • Pterostilbene is an antioxidant from blueberries quickly overtaking resveratrol in popularity.

  • L-Theanine provides a sense of calm and balance.
  • Oat Straw helps de-stress the body and mind and increases attention span.
  • Phosphatidylserine enhances physical and mental performance by reducing stress and increasing the ability to exercise.

The recommended dose is 1 to 2 capsules in the morning or early afternoon, preferably with a light meal.  You can take more or less

  • It will not show up on an employment or competition drug screen.
  • There is a money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of Alpha Brain

  • There are plenty of Alpha Brain reviews from guys who didn’t get the results they were looking for.
  • It’s expensive.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Alpha Brain from the website.  The 30 count bottle costs $34.95.  You’ll save money if you buy bigger quantities.  The 2 pack costs $59.41.  Or you can get a 90 count jar for $79.95.  There’s a 90 day money back guarantee. If you contact them within 30 days of purchasing your first 30 count bottle, they don’t require that you return the product in order to get your refund.

Conclusion

As far as brain enhancing supplements go, Alpha Brain seems like it may be one of the better formulated options.  They are certainly more forthcoming than most with their information regarding both product and manufacturer. And that’s a good start.  It can get pretty expensive if you use it as directed over the long term.  We suggest you be prepared to take advantage of the guarantee.

Piracetam Review – Better Brain Functioning?

Piracetam Overview

Piracetam is a compound that belongs to the Racetams class of Nootropic supplements.  Piracetam is the generic name of the compound, and it is sold under several different names by several different companies.  It is also used as an ingredient in many over-the-counter “brain boosting supplements.”

In our search for a safe and effective alternative to ADD/ADHD prescription medications, Piracetam is something that we come across quite a lot.  It’s kind of the grand patriarch of the nootropics, or smart drugs.  First synthesized in 1964 in Belgium, it was apparent immediately that Piracetam had a real effect on the brain functioning and it appeared to be safe as well. Dr. Corneliu E. Giurgea, the scientist who devoloped Piracetam, was in fact the one who coined the term nootropic to describe supbstances that improve cognitive ability, making Piracetam the first nootropic.

Piracetam ReviewHow Piracetam Works

The mechanism of action is not completely understood, but what is known is that it affects neurons, blood vessels, and brain function without acting as a stimulant or sedative.  It appears to affect the pathways of communication between neurons, increasing their excitability.  It also increases blood flow which leads to more oxygen being made available to the brain.  Additionally, it affects memory and learning by having a positive effect on cell membrane permeability.

How Piracetam is Used

Piracetam is sometimes prescribed for conditions such as a particular form of muscle twitching, but it is much more commonly used for “off-label” purposes, meaning for conditions not scientifically determined to be directly treated by the product, namely enhanced brain functioning.

As a nootropic, Piracetam is thought to have a positive effect on brain functioning.  There is some scientific and anecdotal evidence that this is indeed the case.  One thing to note, however, is that most of the scientific testing of Piracetam was performed not on healthy subjects, but on people with conditions such as stroke and alzheimers.  So it is difficult to determine what real effect Piracetam has on healthy people looking to improve their mental clarity and focus.

Piracetam Side Effects

Studies of Piracetam have revealed very few side effects, and those are mild and temporary.  Those that have been reported include headache, agitation, and nervousness.  Lucid dreaming, where the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming,  is another side effect, and it’s led to the use of Piracetam specifically for this purpose by some.  Generally speaking, Piracetam has been found to be quite safe, with no significant side effects or downsides.

Where to Buy

Piracetam is sold under a number of different names and brands.  Prices and availability vary, but what we found most frequently was 60-count bottles of 800 mg capsules selling for about $15 to $20 online.

Conclusion

If you’re searching for a supplement to help you improve your cognitive functioning, you can go with a complete, ready made solution that includes a bunch of different ingredients, some of which you know and some of which you don’t.  Another way to go is to educate yourself about what specific compounds might be able to help.  Piracetam seems like a promising and economical way to go.  Of course, we’d recommend consulting your doctor before going forward with plans to supplement with Piracetam or most anything else.

AddieUP Review – Does It Work?

Note:  This is just a review.  Click Here to visit the official Addieup website.

AddieUP is a natural supplement that can be used to increase energy and improve mental focus.  It was developed by Dr. Mike Baker, a chiropractor who was looking for an alternative to the Adderall and other prescription medications he’d been taking for his ADHD since he was a kid.

Over the years, such medications have been more and more widely used as energy and cognitive focus boosters by people who don’t suffer from ADD/ADHD.

AddieUP is marketed to these people, who want the benefits, but want to get them from something they can legally obtain.

The claim is that by taking AddieUP, your abilities will improve in the areas of energy, focus, and concentration.

You’ll be able to ace that exam, finish that paper, or deliver that sales pitch, with more clarity, organization, and efficiency than without it.  AddieUP is more than just energy.

It’s also mental focus and cognitive clarity.

to read my written review and evaluation of Addieup.

addieup reviewAddieUP Ingredients and How They Work

Dr. Baker’s AddieUP formula relies on both stimulants and nootropics. While stimulants provide the energy, nootropics (also known as smart drugs) improve brain function by increasing the supply of oxygen to the brain and stimulating nerve growth.

The stimulants in Addieup include:

  • Yerba Mate which is a balanced stimulant that also functions as an antioxidant and includes 24 vitamins and minerals.
  • Guarana which provides energy and endurance while improving cognitive ability.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous which stimulates the central nervous system to prevent drowsiness and increase alertness.
  • DMAA comes from geranium oil and is known to help with energy.  There is some controversy around DMAA.  There is a push to ban it due to the possibility that it can constrict blood vessels, thereby increasing blood pressure.

The nootropics in Addieup include:

  • Huperzia Serrata which can help protect the brain against free radical damage.  It also supports memory and concentration.
  • Ginkgo Biloba which enhances memory, cognition, and attention levels through the presence of antioxidants.
  • Choline which may help prevent memory loss associated with aging by protecting and restoring the  dendrites of the brain cells, maintaining optimal communication between nerve endings.

You should take 1 to 3 AddieUP capsules daily, making sure not to exceed 3 in a 24 hour period.  A look at the testimonials reveals that some people do well with 1 or 2 in the morning.  Some like to add 1 later in the day.  And some like to take 3 in the morning all at once.

My Results With Addieup

I purchased a bottle of Addie Up quite sometime ago and personally had a chance to test it out recently and I have to say it is probably the most effective Nootropic supplement I’ve tried to date.  The directions on the bottle state that a serving size is 2 capsules, but as always I only took half a dosage to start.  The reason I do this is because if i’m going to get any side effects from a supplement, I want it to be the least amount possible.

That said, it took about an hour for the Addieup to kick in, and my mental clarity and focus was amazing to say the least.  I’m on my computer alot, and also do alot of research on various supplements and health trends, so sometimes it can be quite hard to focus for long periods of time.  But with this I was able to bounce from task to task with relative ease, and the feeling lasted for hours.

One other thing I wanted to note was that I actually experienced a pretty harsh comedown from Addieup.  It seemed to kind of hit me all of a sudden, and left me laying on the couch for a good 3 hours at the end of a long day.

I even felt the after effects the next day, and what was even more surprising was that i slept fairly well the night that I took it.  I decided not to take it the following day and started to feel the effects wear off throughout the day. I continued to take it every other day for the next few weeks, and got an amazing amount of work done.  What’s more is I feel as though I didn’t build up a tolerance to it, which is something very common with Nootropics of this type.

Like any supplement though, including Addieup, there was the potential for side effects, and I had a couple.

One thing I noticed was I felt very thirsty all day, like, I couldn’t drink enough water to feel hydrated even though I was pissing clear (an indication you are properly hydrated).  The next morning I also felt like I had taken a cold medicine, similar to something like the over the counter cold remedy Sudafed.  It wasn’t a pronounced side effect, but I definitely got that feeling.

I did a little research and found that one of the active ingredients in Addieup, called 1,3, dimethylamylamine, was originally used as a decongestant.  Who would have thought!

It also seemed to cause a small bit of anxiety, but I took a small dose of phenibut and that cleared it right up within an hour or so.

Update!! (7/15/2015) The Addieup Formula Has Changed…

I’ve been compelled to change up this review for quite sometime now, but haven’t had a chance to due to time constraints.  When I originally took Addieup, it contained an ingredient called 1,3 Dimethylamylamine, or DMAA, which was the primary ingredient.

HOWEVER, in late 2013, the FDA halted the sale of products containing DMAA (including Addieup) and as a result, the makers of this supplement were forced to stop selling it until they could make a newer formula without DMAA.

This REALLY sucks because DMAA worked great for focus and concentration, and even worked well as a pre workout supplement.

While I haven’t had the chance to try out the new formula, I researched their official site and it looks like the new formula contains many of the same ingredients that the old bottle did, with the addition of beta phenylethylamine, dendrobium extract, hordenine HCL, and m-methyl phenylethylamine HCL.

I cannot personally speak to the effectiveness of Addieup now, but I do plan on ordering a bottle for testing soon.  Unfortunately, I searched around for other (updated) reviews of the new Addieup formula, but practically every site I came across was talking about the old one.

Give me a couple of weeks and I should have a new review posted.  In the meantime, check out a supplement called Optimind, which is one that I recently got a chance to test out.

When stacked with a compound called Phenibut, it is LITERALLY the only thing I’ve tested that VERY closely acts as an OTC equivalent to drugs like Adderall, Vyvanse, and Ritalin.

Addieup Vs. AddTabz

AddieUP Pros and Cons

Advantages of AddieUP

  • It works extremely well for mental clarity and focus.
  • Only small amounts of stimulants.
  • Fairly priced when stacked up to the competition.
  • It’s available without a prescription.
  • It uses natural ingredients.
  • All ingredients are listed on the website.
  • There is a money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of AddieUP

  • Ingredient amounts are not listed.
  • Not sold in stores from what I can tell.
  • No doctor endorsements or reviews.
  • Small chance of side effects.

Where to Buy

You can purchase AddieUP from their official website, www.Addieup.com.  You can get a 30 capsule bottle for $39.99, a buy 2 get 1 free deal at $119.90, or a Buy 3 Get 2 Free for $149.75.  There is 60 day money back guarantee.

Conclusion

AddieUP is marketed as a supplement that will increase your energy and mental focus.  Based on my own personal experiences, and the experiences of others, I think Addieup is worthy of a shot.  If you are looking for something to help give you an edge in the classroom, I would highly recommend it.  One thing I would like to note though is that you should only start with 1 pill to assess your overall tolerance.  I would also suggest that if you end up trying the sample pack and like it, that you buy a 60 count bottle to save big.

ADDTabz Review – Safe and Effective?

For years, motivated students and young professionals trying to get and stay on the fast track have been using prescription ADD/ADHD medications to improve their energy and mental focus.  The process, though illegal, is fairly simple.  Drugs such as Adderall are widely prescribed to kids and young adults who show signs and symptoms of ADD or ADHD.

These drugs are known to give you energy, improve your mood, and increase your focus.  So they end up being re-sold on the secondary (ie black) market to anyone who wants the edge they provide.  Obviously, taking prescription medications that weren’t prescribed for you for purposes they weren’t made for can be dangerous, not to mention expensive.

addtabz reviewADDTabz is a non-prescription alternative that claims to do the job better and more safely than Aderall.  And it doesn’t require circumventing the law or telling “little white lies” to your doctor.  ADDTabz, unlike Aderall, is specifically designed to improve mental and cognitive performance for academic and business needs.  What you can expect to achieve is:

  • Improved memory
  • Increased learning capacity
  • Improved brain function
  • Decreased anxiety
  • Enhanced mood

ADDTabz is made by Gentech Pharmaceuticals who call themselves the Most Trusted Name in Designer Pharmacology.  Their history is in the research and development of mainly prescription drugs, and they currently sell a few of their own formulations for weight loss and mental performance.

ADDTabz Ingredients and How They Work

We ordered a bottle of ADDTabz to help analyze the structure and composition of the supplement, as well as test out it’s effectiveness.  The proprietary formulation of ADDTabz includes the following ingredients:

  • Cytidine 5′ diphospocholine/Choline Bitartrate matrix
  • Methyl Synephrine
  • Trimethylxanthine
  • Octopamine

Cytidine 5′ diphospocholinem, or more commonly known as citicholine, is a physchostimulant/nootropic agent which has been clinically studied to help improve mental focus and energy.  7-methyltheophylline is actually just the chemical name for caffeine.

The key ingredient I need to point out here is Methyl Synephrine, or bitter orange.  Bitter Orange is a plant that has been used for hundreds of years in ancient chinese medicine, and has been reportedly used for its weight loss properties, as well as chronic fatigue syndrome. (1)  This extract is what gives you the “feel good” as well as stimulant effects.

All of these ingredients combined are what help to produce effects similar to prescription ADD/ADHD medications like Aderal.

The directions state to take 1 tablet 30 minutes before breakfast, and 1 tablet 30 min before lunch.  It is suggested to take each dose on an empty stomach to get the best results, and to take with water.

ADDTabz Pros and Cons

Advantages of ADDTabz

  • It increases energy and mental focus.
  • It does not require a prescription.
  • There are plenty of positive reviews from people who have used ADDTabz.
  • We had very successful results with the substance.

Disadvantages of ADDTabz

  • ADDTabz contains a compound that is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
  • There is no satisfaction guarantee.

My Personal Results With ADDTabz

For the longest time I have had Mind Boost Day and Night Formula as my #1 Nootropic supplement, for a wide variety of reasons.  For one, it’s safe, all-natural, and doesn’t contain any stimulants that can cause really bad side effects.

However, over time, I’ve realized that the majority of people visiting this blog are looking for something WITH stimulants in it, which works very closely to pharmaceutical grade pills like Aderall and Vyvans (names intentionally spelled incorrectly for legal purposes).

If that is what you are looking for, then AddTabz SHOULD be what you buy.  My personal experience with this supplement actually dates way back to 2013.  This is the first time that I experienced the amazing effects of Aderall, but realized it’s probably not a drug you should be taking on a daily basis.

Factor in the fact that I didn’t have good insurance at the time, and the generic version of Aderall more or less didn’t work well for me, I decided to do the research and see if I could find something similar to Aderall, but at a fraction of the cost.

In comes AddTabz…the first time I took it felt NEARLY IDENTICAL to the first time I took Aderall, but without the really bad comedown.  My focus / concentration was AMAZING, and my productivity felt like it skyrocketed.

Unlike the prescription meds, I have been taking ADDTabz on and off ever since, and it really hasn’t seemed to lose much of its effectiveness.  Keep in mind that I typically limit my dosage to 4 or 5 days a week, with a minimum of 2 days break to avoid building a tolerance.

If your looking for a GREAT alternative to Aderall or some other ADD / ADHD medication, give ADDTabz a try.  You’ll be thanking me haha.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I take it?

The instructions on the label say you should take 1 pill 30 min. before breakfast and 1 pill 30 min. before lunch. HOWEVER, I noticed the best results were taking 1 pill on an empty stomach and not eating for AT LEAST 1 ½ hours.

I would also suggest you wait to take your next dose AT LEAST 2 hours after your last meal.

How long does it take to start working?

For me, I could feel the initial effects from AddTabz about 30 minutes after popping a pill, and the full effect was achieved after roughly 2 hours.

I would say the effects start to wear off about 5 hours after your last dose, and it’s completely rid from your system about 10 hours in.

Does it make you feel “high”?

I get this question a lot. As far as giving you that euphoric or “high” feeling (like the first time you may have used Adderall), it does to SOME extent.

It doesn’t give you a rush of dopamine like a traditional amphetamine would, but the effects are pretty close.

Will I experience a “crash” at the end of the day from it?

I have taken AddTabz MANY times and NEVER experienced a crash at the end of the day.

Will I build a tolerance to it?

Like any stimulant based nootropic, AddTabz DID seem to build up a little bit of a tolerance, so I would suggest you limit yourself to taking it a maximum of 5 days a week, with at least a 2 day break in between.

Is it FDA approved?

While it is not FDA approved, it doesn’t need to be because it’s a supplement. However, all of the ingredients in AddTabz are generally recognized as safe by the FDA.

Can ADDtabz be used for weight loss?

It’s not really intended for that, but some users have reported losing weight with this supplement.  If you’re looking for an effective fat burner I suggest you check out a supplement called Instant Knockout.  Works great!

Will this cause me to flag a drug test?

All of the ingredients in AddTabz are safe and all natural and will not flag a drug test for your workplace. The only ingredient of primary concern here would be Bitter Orange, which is banned from use by the NCAA.

But again, unless you’re an athlete competing at this level then you should have nothing to worry about.

AddTabz Vs. Adderall

While nothing that I have tested can completely mimic the effects of Adderall, AddTabz would be comparable to about a 5 mg tablet of Adderall 5 mg IR.  If you’re looking for the closest thing to Adderall that I have tested then you need to read this article.

AddTabz Vs. AddTabz RX

AddTabz RX is the “prescription strength” version of AddTabz, but it doesn’t require a prescription to obtain it. It contains EXACTLY the same ingredients as the non RX version.

Literally the ONLY difference between AddTabz and AddTabz RX is that the RX version is 10 mg stronger and can only be obtained through a doctor carrying the product. This can prove to be very difficult, as there is no database on their official website you can search to find one near you.

However, they do have a chat feature available on their site where you can ask the agent to look up a doctor nearby.

AddTabz Vs. Addium

addium vs addtabzI’ve been getting alot of questions regarding the similarities and differences between Addium and AddTabz, so I figured I’d provide a brief rundown.  If you recall from my Addium review, I didn’t get much of an effect from taking it.  I did feel a bit more motivated to get some work done, felt a bit less distracted, and even felt a bit more sociable (which I attribute to the L-theanine).

However, with Addium I seemed to experience a HUGE crash of sorts, with a REALLY bad headache.  I did NOT get this comedown effect with AddTabz, ever.  For me, the effects of AddTabz seemed to be cumulative, meaning it felt like it got better and better each day I took it, as opposed to getting a the same profound effect everyday.

From a price standpoint, Addium is VERY expensive if you decide to buy it on Amazon, coming in at $71 per bottle.  However, if you buy it on the official site, that price is literally almost cut in half, with a retail price of $39.95.

AddTabz on the other hand, is much more expensive when compared to Addium, but for good reason….it just simply works that MUCH better.  A one month supply of AddTabz retails at $69, but just like Addium they offer heavy discounts for bulk orders.

Are there any side effects from it?

The only side effects that I noted during testing was a little bit of insomnia on a few occasions. I think this can be mitigated by essentially not taking it AT LEAST 6 hours before bedtime, if not sooner.

Can I get a sample of it?

Unfortunately at this time it doesn’t look like they are giving out any free samples of AddTabz. They were doing this a few years ago, so it’s possible they might start doing it again.

Where can I buy it?

You can buy ADDTabz online through the manufacturer’s website.  A 20-count bottle sells for $49.95, and you can buy bigger bottles at a lower relative cost.  Unfortunately, at this time it does not appear that it’s available in retail stores like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Amazon, or Vitamin Shoppe.

There does not appear to be a money back guarantee, although they do accept returned unopened bottles.

Conclusion

What’s nice about ADDTabz is that it is made specifically to provide the benefits people have been getting by using Adderall for off-label purposes.  Other than the fact that it does not require a prescription, I actually experienced very similar effects with ADDTabz to stimulant medications, and if used as directed I think it can work for just about anyone.

Profiderall Review – Should You Use It?

It’s no secret that for years, college students and young professionals have been taking smart drugs to improve their school or work performance.  When we say smart drugs, we’re talking about Aderall, Ritalin, and other prescription medications designed to manage the symptoms of ADD/ADHD.

The students and professionals find it helps them focus, concentrate, and have the energy they need to tackle all that’s on their plates.

Better focus and energy is great, but using prescription drugs that aren’t prescribed to you is not only illegal, it’s also dangerous and potentially addictive.  There’s the problem.  Profiderall claims to be the solution.

Profiderall is a legal, over-the-counter combination of nootropics (substances that improve mental functioning) and energy compounds.  By taking Profiderall, you’ll be able to increase your brain activity, improve your mental performance, and have the energy to complete the tasks at hand.

Profiderall Ingredients and How They Work

The primary active ingredient in Profiderall is the proprietary Cognitive Energy Complex.  While amounts aren’t listed, the components are, and they include Pricetam, Caffeine, Choline Bitartrate, L-Tyrosine, L=Tauring, DMAE Bitartrate, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vinpocetine, and Hyperzine A.

profiderall reviewThis list of nootropics increases brain activity and mental performance by facilitating the pathways for chemicals to work at their most optimal levels, both between the sensory input point and the brain as well as point to point within the brain.

The formula also includes Niacin and some B Vitamins to maximize the beneficial environment and provide a clean energy boost.

The recommended dose is 2 Profiderall capsules a day.  You can take up to 4 a day if your needs require.  No potential side effects are discussed on the website, but it is not advised that Profiderall be taken by children under 12, or by women who are pregnant or nursing.  And if you have any medical condition or take any medications, you should consult your doctor.

My Personal Results

After reading through all of the reviews and looking at the ingredients label, I have to admit I had high hopes for this one.  I ordered a bottle on Amazon for about $63, which is pretty expensive when stacked up against other nootropic supplements.

I took 2 capsules as the label suggested, and within about 30 mins. I could feel the surge hit me.  This wasn’t some sort of surge in productivity, focus, or concentration.

Rather it was more of a “holy S$%t I just took in a LOT of caffeine” type of feeling.

My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest, and I started to sweat a bit.  It was almost like an overwhelming sort of panic / anxiety, that definitely did NOT enhance cognitive function.

I will say this though, it got me REALLY amped for the gym.  I did a lift session about 1 hour after I took my first dose and has EXPLOSIVE energy throughout my workout.

I even finished up with a 30 min. run.

Profiderall Pros and Cons

Advantages of Profiderall

  • It is a non-prescription alternative for the benefits you might find by taking prescription ADD/ADHD medications.
  • There are no reported side effects.
  • Profiderall gives you energy.  TONS of energy.
  • There is a money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of Profiderall

  • It is only available online.
  • Profiderall reviews are pretty mixed.
  • Some who’ve used it have found it to be beneficial.
  • Others say it does nothing but cause jitters.
  • There have been no clinical tests performed.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Profiderall from the website.  A single bottle of 75 capsules is about a month’s supply. It costs $49.99.  There is a 30 day money back guarantee, so it does give you a chance to test it out without risk.

Conclusion

After having tried it, I can basically conclude that it really doesn’t seem to work much better than a caffeine pill.  If you’re looking for a HUGE surge in physical energy, it might be worth it.

But if your looking for something to help give you a mental edge, especially at $67 a bottle, I would look elsewhere.

Unless you have a high caffeine tolerance, I would definitely recommend you start off with just 1 capsule and see if you get any side effects.  Also, avoid taking this late in the day, as insomnia seems to be the biggest complaint.

Doxiderol Review – My Personal Results

Note:  This is a review, Click Here to visit the official Doxiderol site.

I have been researching various types of all natural alternatives to help treat my ADD/ADHD for the past 6 months, and have found some surprising alternatives that work very well.  One of those alternatives is a supplement called Doxiderol, which is a so called “smart drug” that helps to improve brain function, focus, and enhance memory and cognitive function.  But is it really as effective as prescription medications like Adderall, Vyvanse, and Ritalin?

Is it really “legal adderall“?

I experimented with Doxiderol for the past few months, and wanted to talk a little bit about my results in this review.

My Quick ADD/ADHD Story

doxiderol reviewLike pretty much anyone else who is reading this, we all know that everyone has a certain amount of ADD in them.  It’s called “being human”, but of course doctors are quick to diagnose you with ADD and throw amphetamines at you at the drop of a hat.   It all started about a year and a half ago when I decided to quit smoking.  For those of you who have experienced nicotine withdrawal, you probably know that coming down off of 10 + years of nicotine dependence can take its toll.

Well, one of the most prevalent withdrawal symptoms that I experienced was a lack of focus, attention, energy, and motivation.  It lasted alot longer than I expected, so I decided to seek help from a doctor.  I went to my primary physician for help, and he more or less told me that these symptoms would subside over time, and said to pretty much just wait it out.  Well, after 3 weeks of “waiting it out”, I still felt like a bag of crap, which was affecting both my work and personal life.

One day I called a friend up to go to a local shooting range, and before I picked him up at his house I sent him a text to let him know I was stopping at my local Dunkin Donuts and to see if he wanted anything.  He replied he was ok, and I proceeded to get myself a large coffee with extra cream and sugar, and a double shot of espresso.  After picking him up, I was stunned at how chipper he was at 2:30 in the afternoon, and asked him how he could have no energy without slamming 3 cups of coffee and 2 red bulls a day (like I was doing).

He said he was taking Adderall….You can only imagine where this is going.  I started to prod him with questions about this drug, and he told me that he was diagnosed with adult ADD, and he had been on the drug for about a year.  Fascinated, I wondered what this drug would be like, so I asked him if he could spare a pill.  He gave me a 30 mg instant release tablet, but said to cut it in half and only take one half very early in the morning.

The next morning I took a half, and literally started feeling it in minutes.  I COULD NOT believe how much work I got done that day.  It was shocking and scary at the same time.  Have I really just found the answer to my prayers?  It seemed too good to be true.  I asked my friend how he went about getting Adderall, and he referred a local psychiatrist who he visited.  I called this doctor to schedule an appointment, and after some knee-slappingly obvious questions, I was diagnosed with Adult ADD and walked out with a script for 20 mg of Adderall XR.

Adderall Dependence and Time For A Change

The next few weeks felt too good to be true.  I was getting an insane amount of work done, and my sales and productivity were through the roof.  Not only that, but I also noticed that I started to lose weight, and was feeling better than ever.  It truly felt like a wonder drug, but as the months wore on, I noticed that the drug was starting to lose it’s effectiveness.  Not only that, but I began to experience some pretty bad side effects, most notably rampant eye twitches, insomnia, stomach and intestinal pains, and even my mood started to change for the worse.  I felt like I was becoming dependent on the drug, and was starting to get nervous.  Have I become a drug addict?

My Quest For a Natural Adderall Alternative

The fact that I run a supplement site such as this led me to start looking for some all natural alternatives to Adderall and other prescription ADD medications.  I was getting sick of taking Adderall, but wanted something that could give me the same boost in energy, focus, and concentration, without being addicted to an amphetamine.

I came across Doxiderol after a quick search on Google, and learned that others were getting great results with it as well.  I decided to order a one months supply, which is surprisingly cheap when you consider I was paying as much as $300 for a 30 pill prescription of Adderall XR (thanks to no insurance).  I received it in the mail about 2 or 3 days later, and began taking it right away.

How Does Doxiderol Work?

Doxiderol is what’s known as a Nootropic, which is a fancy technical term that means it helps to boost human cognitive abilities.  Unlike Adderall, Vyvanse, and other prescription ADD medications, Nootropics help to regulate and increase the supply of neurochemicals to the brain naturally.

Doxiderol uses a unique blend of ingredients, including Vitamin B12 and B5, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Caffeine, Bacopa Monnien Extract, Citicoline, L-Theanine, and Vinpocetine.  Without going into a boring and lengthy discussion about how these ingredients work, check out the official Doxiderol ingredients page, they do a great job of explaining everything.

My Results With Doxiderol

The directions state that a serving is 2 pills, but just like my original experiment with adderall, I started off taking just 1 pill of Doxiderol.  While it didn’t hit me nearly as fast, I felt a gradual sense of eupohoria, and I had laser-like focus within an hour or so.  Just like the first time on Adderall, I was getting things done quickly, efficiently, and with a sense of urgency.

I decided to take a second pill about mid-way through the afternoon (around 2:30 or so) and again, the effects were prevalent for hours.  I was so surprised to see how well an all natural ADD supplement was working, as I didn’t think anything could come close to the effects of Adderall.  I continued to take Doxiderol over the next few weeks, but did take some days off.

What is the true benefit of Doxiderol is that it is not addictive, something which can’t be said of prescription medications.  At no time in the 3 months that I had been taking it did I ever feel like I couldn’t live without it.  If I stopped taking it, I felt less inclined to get stuff done, but NEVER felt depressed, agitated, or like I was “coming down” off of a drug.

Pro’s of Doxiderol

  • Starts working very quickly
  • Has both short term and long term benefits
  • Extremely CHEAP, especially when compared to the alternatives
  • No side effects to report of
  • Gives a keen sense of Euphoria and mood enhancing ability
  • Ships Worldwide
  • Does Not Require A Prescription
  • Non-Addictive or Habit Forming

Con’s of Doxiderol

  • Not available in stores (as of this review)
  • Unclear if it’s available Worldwide.

Recommendation

I think if you are looking for a suitable all natural alternative to potentially dangerous, and not to mention addictive, ADD medications, Doxiderol is likely a good choice.  My experience was nothing short of stellar, and I don’t see any reason why I would stop taking it anytime soon.  The price is also comparable to many of the other Nootropics available on the market.

1.  Procomil Spray Overview

Procomil Spray Overview

Procomil Spray is male enhancement spray for men who wish to prolong their sexual experience.   You may be suffering with premature ejaculation issues, or you may just want to provide a longer period of enjoyment for your partner.

In either case, a few sprays of Procomil Spray to the penis will desensitize you enough to last longer, for you and for her.

Update! If You Want To Last Like A Porn Star, Use This…

If you’re looking for an all natural supplement to help give you porn-star quality erections and lasting power, look no further then Prosolution Plus.

Prosolution Plus sex pill review

It’s by FAR the best premature ejac. supplement I’ve ever tested, and I’ve tested well over 100 of them.

Click Here to read my full Prosolution Plus review.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for something similar to Procomil Spray, check out a product called Vigrx Delay Wipes.

They are perfect for helping you last a REALLY long time, click here to learn more about them.

Procomil Spray is made by a German supplement and herbal tonic company called Walter Ritter Pharmaceutica.  Their website identifies Procomil Spray as one of their products, but doesn’t go much further toward explaining or promoting it.  It’s sold by independent retailers, and the information they provide is also very brief.  They’ve got the basics, but no testimonials, clinical tests, or ingredient information.  Without these, it’s difficult to get a full, fleshed out picture of Procomil Spray, but we’ve put together what’s out there to come up with the best informed opinion we could.

Procomil Spray Ingredients and How They Work2.  Procomil Spray Ingredients and How They Work

There is only one ingredient mentioned in connection with Procomil Spray, and that is Lidocaine.  Lidocaine is a topical analgesic that prevents electrical impulses from being passed along to the brain. (Source) What you’re left with is a numbed sensation that makes you less able to feel stimulation.  When you feel less friction in your penis, you will able to withstand more sexual activity before reaching climax.

You should spray 2 or 3 sprays directly to the penis, rub it in, then immediately wash your hands so they don’t feel numb as well.  There is no information available about whether or not Procomil Spray works with condoms, but there is no known interference between lidocaine and latex, so it shouldn’t be a problem.  You’ll want to verify that with a doctor or on the packaging.

3.  Fake Procomil Spray

Fake Procomil Spray

The biggest thing to note about Procomil Spray is that apparently, there are a bunch of retailers selling a fake version and trying to pass it off as the real thing. I’ve heard that what they’re selling on ebay is fake, but truthfully, it’s tough to be sure. Here are a few of the things to look for:

  • The real Procomil Spray has a stripe across the box that is dark yellow in color, almost like a mustard brownish yellow. while the fake version’s stripe has more of a bright yellow color. Though it’s tough to tell when you are not comparing the two side by side.
  • There is an image of a man’s head and shoulders on the box. On some packages, the man’s head and shoulders is all there is in the image. On other packages, there’s an image of a women laying under sheets in the distance over the man’s shoulder. I haven’t been able to determine which image is real and which is fake, but that would be a good clue if we knew.

The fake version also has a tell tale sign on it’s sprayer. The real Procomil Spray has an all-white sprayer with no markings. The sprayer on the fake version has a black dot on the side and a triangular shaped indentation on the top. You’d have to open the box to spot these differences, so make sure you do so carefully so as not to void any money back guarantee that might be in place.Basically, a good rule of thumb would be not to get too excited when you see some Procomil Spray at a deeply discounted price. That’s probably your best sign that the stuff is fake. It should at least be a red flag that gets you looking for the other signs.

4.  Does It Matter If You Get the Fake Procomil?

According to the feedback of guys who’ve used both the real Procomil Spray and the fake stuff, the difference is that with the real Procomil, you don’t get actually numb, but with the fake stuff, you can’t really feel anything at all. If that’s true, that alone makes it worth getting the real stuff if you plan on mutual satisfaction.. and I know you do.

5.  Procomil Spray Pros and Cons

There is good and bad to consider about every product you’re thinking about using.  A quick comparison of the two is always an easy way to help make the right decision.

Advantages of Procomil Spray

Advantages of Procomil Spray

  • It is simply to use.
  • It numbs your penis so you should last longer.

Disadvantages of Procomil Spray

Disadvantages of Procomil Spray

  • There’s not a lot of information about Procomil Spray available.
  • It is not conducive to oral sex.
  • It is unclear whether or not it will work with condoms.
  • There are a couple of Procomil Spray reviews out there on PE forums, and a common complaint is that it makes you too numb to keep an erection.

6.  Where to Buy

Procomil Spray is available through a number of online retailers.  The ½ ounce bottle sells for anywhere from $12 to $18.  It’s not sold from the manufacturer’s website, so any money back guarantee would have to come from the particular retailer you use. Exercise caution with which retailer you choose to get it from.

7.  Conclusion

Premature ejaculation procomil spray

Premature ejaculation can be a difficult and embarrassing issue to deal with.  Numbing creams and sprays have become a popular way to help keep it under control.  There are a vast number of competitors offerings similar topical “slow down” solutions for premature ejaculation. It would seem that Procomil Spray is no better than any other spray you might try, and with the limited information available, there really isn’t any reason we can come up with to choose Procomil Spray over anything else.  If this is a persistent problem for you, you should visit your doctor to rule out any underlying problem that may be causing this particular symptom.

Erexite Review – Was Erexite Recalled?

Erexite Overview

At one time, Erexite was a popular male enhancement supplement sold on Amazon.com as well as several other online health supplement retailers.  It promised to work quickly to help you achieve a harder, bigger, more sustainable erection within as little as 30 minutes.  Some supplements need to be taken daily.  Their effects build up in your system over time so you’re ready when you want to be.  Erexite was the kind of performance enhancer you took only when you planned on engaging in sexual activity. You’d take a dose, wait half an hour, and be able to stand at attention for the next 48 hours.

However, that was then and this is now.  In 2012, the FDA issued a recall for Erexite.  A routine lab test revealed that the supplement contained an undisclosed drug ingredient, Tadalafil.  This is a prescription only ingredient similar to the one used in Viagra.  It is available by prescription only because of its potential to cause serious side effects, especially when it interacts with other prescription drug, like nitrates for heart conditions.

At this point, Erexite is completely off the mainstream market.  But its footprint remains, so we’ve put together this review so you have a place to go to get the whole story regarding this once popular male enhancement contender.

Erexite ReviewErexite Ingredients

Aside from the undisclosed Tadalafil, Erexite contained many of the herbal ingredients we like to see.  There were aphrodisiacs like Maca and Cordyceps Sinesis, testosterone boosters like Tribulus Terrestris and Tongkat Ali, the blood flow enhancer Epimedium, as well as Panax Ginseng for energy and stamina.

One almost glaring omission is L-Arginine.  L-Arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide, which helps blood to flow more freely into the penis for better erections.  This is in almost all natural male enhancement supplements.  It’s how they help erections without using prescription drugs. Now after the recall, we can understand why Erexite didn’t need to use L-Arginine.

The recommended dose was 1 to 2 capsules 30 to 45 minutes before sexual activity.

Erexite Pros and Cons

For a recalled product like Erexite, the pros and cons list is pretty one-sided.

Advantages of Erexite

  • None.

Disadvantages of Erexite

  • It contains a potentially dangerous prescription drug.
  • There’s no information about the manufacturer available.
  • It is no longer available.

Where to Buy

Erexite is no longer available anywhere that we were able to find.

Conclusion

You’re pretty unlikely to find yourself with the opportunity to buy Erexite.  If by chance you do, we would recommend that you skip it.  But more than that, we all should learn from the story of Erexite.  When a product claims to help you get an erection almost immediately, be suspicious.  Look at the listed  ingredients to determine if there’s anything there that could get you that immediate action.  L-Arginine an Yohimbe are the most commonly used natural erection enhancement ingredients, and even Yohimbe comes with its share of problems.  Approach all natural supplements with caution.  Even natural ingredients can be problematic if you’ve got certain conditions or take particular medications.  And when in doubt, consult your doctor.

Potency Plus Review – Does It Work?

Potency Plus Overview

Potency Plus is a daily male enhancement supplement made by a company called Ra Nisa Naturals.  Although they make many health and dietary supplements, the company does not appear to have a website.  This has made collecting information about the company and Potency Plus a bit difficult.  But we’ve gathered what we could, and put it all together here to make it easy for you to make an informed decision.

When you take 2 Potency Plus capsules daily, you should experience improved erections due to the increase in blood flow to the penis that it causes.  This is the main mechanism of action described by the promotional information provided by the retailers that carry Potency Plus.  Additionally, there are aphrodisiacs and energy boosters to help get you in the mood and keep you there.

Potency Plus ReviewPotency Plus Ingredients and How They Work

Some of the ingredients in the Potency Plus formula are listed out individually along with their amounts.  Others are included in a proprietary blend that by definition doesn’t reveal how much of each ingredient is included.

The individually listed ones are:

  • Zinc to help improve the environment for testosterone production.
  • Eurycoma Longifolia to help free up bound testosterone for use.
  • Maca to increase libido.
  • L-Arginine to increase the flow of blood to the penis.
  • Ginseng to stimulate circulation improve energy and stamina

Included in the proprietary blend are:

Sarsaparilla, Pumpkin Seed, Muira Puama, Oat Straw, Nettle, Cayenne Pepper, Astragalus, Catuaba Bark, Licorice, Tribulus Terrestris, Orchic, Oyster Extract, and Boron.

There is some confusion about whether or not Potency Plus contains Yohimbe.  Some of our sources say it does and some don’t list it at all.  This is important to know because Yohimbe, while effective, may cause serious side effects, especially when it interacts with certain medications, especially those taken for heart or blood pressure problems.

The recommended dose is two Potency Plus taken once per day with a meal.  How long it will take to see results is not clear.

Potency Plus Pros and Cons

Advantages of Potency Plus

  • It’s inexpensive.
  • It contains effective herbal enhancement ingredients.

Disadvantages of Potency Plus

  • Information is scarce.
  • There are no Potency Plus reviews from customers available on the internet.
  • It may contain Yohimbe.
  • It’s difficult to find opportunities to buy Potency Plus.

Where to Buy

We’ve had a difficult time finding Potency Plus in stock at the retailers that carry it.  Prior to the lack of supply, a 60-count bottle, or 1-month supply, cost between $11 and $15.  Any money back guarantee would have to come from the retailer as there is none available through the manufacturer.

Conclusion

Potency Plus looks like an okay product with the biggest thing going for it being its low price.  On the other hand, it’s probably not worth the trouble it’ll take to find it, and the concern over whether or not it contains Yohimbe.  There are so many good natural male enhancement options, we don’t see any real reason to pursue Potency Plus.

Max Hard Overview

Max Hard is a male enhancement supplement that makes a very simple, right-to-the-point claim.  It “Gets You Hard and Keeps You Hard.”  Made by MD Science Lab, Max Hard is designed to be taken only before sexual activity to either combat erectile dysfunction or just simply give you the performance boost you desire.

1 or 2 Max Hard capsules about 30-45 minutes before sexual activity will boost your libido, get you a firmer, harder, more powerful erection faster, give you energy and stamina to go the distance, and have each session ending with an explosive orgasm.  Lots of herbal male supplements make these same claims, so we looked a little closer to see if Max Hard is more or less likely to come through for you than all the rest.

Click Here to read my full review.

max hard reviewMax Hard Ingredients and How They Work

Max Hard contains most of the ingredients we look for in our Viagra-alternative type supplements:

  • L-Arginine improves blood flow to the penis as a precursor to nitric oxide which relaxes the smooth muscles of the corpus cavernosa to allow more blood to enter.
  • Epimedium also increases blood flow to extremities in much the same way.
  • Tribulus Terrestris increases the body’s natural production of testosterone by activating the secretion of luteinizing hormone.
  • Avena Sativa and Tongkat Ali increase the presence of free, unbound testosterone, available for use by the body.
  • Siberian Ginseng provides energy, focus, and stamina.
  • Cnidium Monnier and Maca work as aphrodisiacs to get your libido going.

Max Hard also contains Yohimbe which may be cause for concern.  Yohimbe works to increase the amount of blood entering the penis.  Unfortunately, it has also been shown to cause some pretty serious side effects, like heart palpitations and erratic changes in blood pressure.  It can also cause less serious, but troublesome effects, like jitters and nausea. (1)  The FDA has not banned Yohimbe, but they have put out a cautionary warning against its use.

Max Hard Pros and Cons

Advantages of Max Hard

  • It works quickly.
  • There is no commitment involved.
  • It can be found fairly cheaply.
  • The ingredients list if mainly impressive.

Disadvantages of Max Hard

  • It contains Yohimbe which may be dangerous.
  • It has not been clinically tested.
  • The official website doesn’t offer much information.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Max Hard from the M.D. Science Lab website for $49.99.  That’s a 30-count bottle.  If you stick to the recommended dose of 1 capsule, that’s less than $2 per use.  Other online supplement retailers also sell Max Hard, and the prices tend to be lower.  We saw as low as $24.99 on ebay, but unfortunately it is not available for sale in retail stores like GNC, Walmart, and CVS.

My Personal Results

I was a little skeptical that Max Hard would even work.  The ingredients are all ones that you will find in many other sexual enhancement products, but there is nothing revolutionary about their formula.  The directions said to take 1 capsule 30 – 45 minutes prior to sexual activity, and I did just that.  After about an hour I started to feel the difference.  I started getting pretty horny, and was ready to get “down and dirty”.

Not to get into the details too much, but it was probably one of the best bangs I’ve had in a long time.  However, I did notice a little bit of light nausea, something that was undoubtedly was caused by the yohimbe.  I also noticed I orgasmed a lot quicker (and harder) than usual, so if your looking for something that will make you last longer then I don’t think Max hard would be a good choice for you.

I would characterize this supplement as something that will get you erect, but not keep you erect for very long.  The claims of “lasting longer” and “increased endurance” definitely did NOT apply in my case, but it might work as intended for others.

Other Reviews

There’s not a ton of credible reviews out there, but the few that I came across painted a somewhat bleak picture.

For example, on Amazon the average rating was 2.5 out of 5 stars.

However, there were only 2 reviews, hardly making it conclusive.

The one star review called it snake oil, saying “don’t waste your money.”

max hard pills review on amazon

The 4 star review noted a keen increase in erection quality, but ended up feeling sick.

max hard negative review

The reviews over at Walgreens were about the same, minus all of the talk about side effects.

max hard pills on walgreens

Conclusion

If you ask whether or not Max Hard works, I can say with conviction that it really does.  But if you ask if it’s safe, I would probably answer that it probably is not.  The fact that it contains yohimbe means that while it will probably work to get you erect, you could have potentially disastrous side effects as a result of it.  Yohimbe is so powerful that it’s actually banned for use in countries like Canada, Australia, and the UK, which means that you probably wouldn’t be able to get it there anyway.  While I think almost any guy that takes it would probably work for you, but in my opinion the side effects are just not worth it.

Always exercise caution when taking any new supplement for the first time and pay attention to exactly just how it affects your body as sometimes there is no way to tell if you are going to be sensitive to certain side effects until you have actually tried out a product for yourself.

Indian God Lotion Review – How Long Can You Last?

Contents

Indian God Lotion Overview
Indian God Lotion Ingredients and How They Work
Indian God Lotion Pros and Cons
Where To Buy
Conclusion

Indian God Lotion Overview

Indian God Lotion is made for guys who suffer with premature ejaculation problems or for guys who just want to last longer to provide more mutual pleasure.  Unlike oils like Man1 Man Oil that claim permanent enlargement of the penis, it’s a desensitizing lotion that you spray on your penis shortly before intercourse.  The primary distinction that it makes is that unlike other premature ejaculation solutions, Indian God Lotion provides a lesser degree of numbing, so you still have enough sensation to enjoy yourself.

Indian God Lotion ReviewIndian God Lotion Ingredients and How They Work

The ingredients list for Indian God Lotion is pretty brief.  It consists of:

  • Water
  • Radic Asari
  • Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Perfume

The active, desensitizing ingredient is Radic Asari.  It is an obscure herb that has at times been used in conjunction with pain management.  As such, it may have the effect of providing a numbing sensation.

You are instructed to spray Indian God Lotion onto the head of your penis 1 hour before intercourse.  If you want more effect, spray again 30 minutes before sex.  Indian God Lotion is advertised to allow you to have sex all night long, giving your partner multiple orgasms while you just last and last.

Two things that aren’t mentioned in any of the marketing materials is the effects Indian God Lotion will have on condoms and oral sex.  Knowing how Indian God Lotion will interact with latex is necessary for many of its potential customers.  And knowing if it’s safe to ingest and if it’s at all palatable is also important to many.  Unfortunately, these are both unknown.

I don’t want to have to be the first to put those answers to the test either, for safety reasons, and don’t recommend that you do either because there is not adequate information.

Indian God Lotion Pros and Cons

Advantages of Indian God Lotion

  • It is affordable.
  • It claims to allow you to feel more than other premature ejaculation creams.
  • There are positive Indian God Lotion reviews.

Disadvantages of Indian God Lotion

  • It is unknown whether or not it can be used with condoms.
  • It is unknown whether or not it can or should be ingested.

Where to Buy

Several online retailers sell Indian God Lotion.  A spray bottle that contains about 15 sprays costs between about $15 and $20.  There is no official website, so we were unable to find a money back guarantee.

Conclusion

We don’t think we have enough information or positive feedback to be able to confidently recommend Indian God Lotion.  It may work at just the level you need.  We’re just not sure.  And without knowing the details about its interaction with latex or how it tastes, we just don’t recommend Indian God Lotion.

The more information about a particular product, especially when it comes to something so sensitive, that you can find available the better and the more you can trust that it will work as intended.

Male Boost Review – Should You Use It?

Male Boost Overview

Male Boost is a male enhancement supplement made by Douglass Medical Labs.  On its very professional and refreshingly low key website, it is explained that Male Boost can be used mainly to help you achieve bigger, harder, more effective erections while experiencing heightened levels of sexual arousal and more intense orgasms.

Male Boost ReviewHow Male Boost Works

Erections happen when blood rushes into the chambers of the penis, called the corpus cavernosa.  Male Boost first works by heightening arousal with the help of herbal aphrodisiacs.  Then it improves erections by increasing the flow of blood into the corpus cavernosa.  This increased blood flow enhances your sensitivity as well as your hardness, all of which adds up to an explosive orgasm after a long and sustained session.

The recommended dose is 2 capsules per day.  While you should start seeing some effect right away, the maximum erection size will be achieved within the first 90 days.

Male Boost Ingredients

The website lists all the ingredients in the Male Boost formula.

  • For increasing blood flow, there’s Yohimbe and L-Arginine.  They both work by increasing the presence of nitric oxide, which helps expand the blood vessels to allow more blood to flow through and into the chambers of the penis.
  • For boosting libido, there’s Oyster Meat Extract which has long been regarded as having the effect of increasing sexual appetite, Muira Puama from Brazil which has recently been shown to increase libido, and Maca Root from Peru used for centuries as an aphrodisiac that normalizes testosterone.
  • For energy and stamina, there’s Korean and Siberian Ginseng which stimulate the central nervous system.

Male Boost Pros and Cons

It’s always a good idea to look at what’s good and what’s bad about a product before you go out and buy it.

Advantages of Male Boost

  • The product is presented professionally.
  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • There is a 30 day money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of Male Boost

  • It contains Yohimbe which may cause serious side effects such as abnormal blood pressure and heart palpitations.  These side effects are more likely to occur with long term use.
  • The money back guarantee requires that you demonstrate that you used Male Boost correctly and still did not achieve the expected results. We found no independent Male Boost reviews or discussions.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Male Boost from the website.  A one month supply costs $45, which is a little on the high side, but solidly within the average price range for similar products.  The monthly cost drops if you buy multiple months worth at a time.  As stated earlier, there is a money back guarantee, but it has some pretty specific requirements which may make it difficult to use.

Conclusion

For a couple of reasons, we’ve decided against recommending Male Boost.  The potential danger of long term Yohimbe use is primary.  Add in the potential difficulty of enacting the guarantee, and we just think you should look elsewhere.

Conclusion

Max Size Overview

Max Size is a male enhancement supplement made by MD Science Lab, which is a fairly well-respected supplement company in the sexual health field of products.  Max Size is a supplement that you take daily to build up the effects over time.  You can also take it just prior to sexual activity for an additional boost.

The website contains most of the useful information you need, and it is refreshingly understated.  It talks about how we all know that penis size and performance are delicate subjects that we may not want to talk about, but there are things you can do.  Some of them, like surgery, can be invasive, costly, and painful.  But Max Size can be an easier, more private solution.  It doesn’t really state what exact effects you can expect.  I guess they figure that if you’re looking for a male enhancement supplement, you know what it does.

Max Size ReviewMax Size Ingredients and How It Works

The general idea of how Max Size works is that it increases blood flow to the penis.  This gives you bigger, harder erections in the immediate term.  What it is also hypothesized to do is increase the penile capacity to hold blood, which would give your penis more size permanently.

The primary active ingredient in Max Size is Yohimbe.  Yohimbe is a natural extract that helps increase blood flow to the penis by increasing the flow of nitric oxide through the blood.  It’s proven to be effective. Unfortunately, it may also be responsible for some serious side effects, like erratic changes in blood pressure and heart palpitations.    Other ingredients in the formula are Cnidium Monnier and Xanthomelia Scabrosa which help inhibit PDE-5 (which is how Viagra helps erections), L-Arginine which increases blood flow, Catuaba and Muira Puama which are aphrodisiacs, and Avena Sativa which increases free testosterone in the body.

Max Size Pros and Cons

Advantages of Max Size

  • It’s made by a reputable company.
  • There is a money back guarantee.
  • It contains lots of ingredients to enhance erections.

Disadvantages of Max Size

  • It contains Yohimbe which can cause dangerous side effects, especially with long term use.
  • We saw at least one Max Size review where the customer experienced jitters after taking the pills.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Max Size through several different online sources.  The MDScience Lab website sells a 60-count bottle for $49.99 with a money back guarantee.  You can get it from some other online retailers for less.  We’ve seen as low as $24.99.  Though we don’t know the guarantee policies of those sites.

Conclusion

It seems pretty clear that Max Size can help get you bigger, harder erections.  Our concern is less about whether or not it works and more about its safety.  There are other products that get the job done that don’t contain potentially dangerous ingredients.  Choose on of those instead of Max Size.

Mandelay Review – Safe and Effective?

Mandelay Overview

Its official name is Mandelay Climax Control Gel and the name is pretty self explanatory.  It’s designed to delay ejaculation so you can have more control over your own situation.  The clear gel works by desensitizing your penis.  That way, whether you’re truly dealing with premature ejaculation or you just want to go longer, you’re prepared.

Mandelay ReviewMandelay Ingredients

Mandelay has only one active ingredient, and that is Benzocaine, which is a widely used a local anesthetic in such products as topical pain relievers and cough drops.  It’s an FDA approved over-the-counter medication that numbs nerve endings on contact with the skin.

How Mandelay Works

The instructions for use are that you apply a small amount to the head and shaft of the penis shortly before intercourse.  Your penis becomes less sensitive on contact, enabling you to withstand more stimulation than without it.

Mandelay does not interfere with the structural integrity of latex, so it’s safe to use with condoms. There are, however, a couple of warnings regarding use of the product.  Mandelay is not meant to be ingested.  If you do swallow some, you should get medical help of contact poison control. You should avoid contact with eyes, and if you or your partner develop a rash, you should discontinue use.  It is also advised that if Mandelay doesn’t fix the problem, you should visit a doctor because premature ejaculation could be indicative of a more serious condition.

Mandelay Pros and Cons

Advantages of Mandelay

  • It’s simple to use.
  • It is inexpensive.
  • There are several positive Mandelay reviews indicating that it works as advertised.
  • It can be used with condoms.

Disadvantages of Mandelay

  • It cannot be used in conjunction with oral sex.
  • Use of Mandelay comes with several warnings.

Where to Buy

There are lots of ways to purchase Mandelay.  It’s available at drugstores like Walgreens and CVS.  You can also get through a number of online stores.  A 1 oz tube sells for anywhere from $3 to $10.

Conclusion

If you face problems with premature ejaculation, you will probably find some help from Mandelay.  Just make sure follow the directions and read the label warnings.

ProSolution Review – Does It Work?

ProSolution Overview

ProSolution Pills are advertised as a complete sexual enhancement system. The difference between ProSolution and all the rest is that ProSolution supports you both mentally and physically to help you give a better sexual performance than you thought you were capable of.  By improving both your erection and you’re mindset, ProSolution offers the most comprehensive help available.

The ProSolution website is pretty informative.  The ingredients are all listed, an explanation of how it works is provided, and there are multiple endorsements from doctors. It says you can expect bigger, harder, longer-lasting erections, increased stamina and control, heightened sex drive, and quick recovery times for multiple orgasms per session.

ProSolution ReviewProSolution Ingredients and How They Work

The website claims that the ProSolution formula has evolved over the past decade to become what it is today:

  • Solidilin increases pleasure and sexual motivation.
  • Korean Ginseng increases erection rigidity and erectile function overall.  It also helps to overcome general fatigue.
  • Butea Superba is an ancient Thai aphrodisiac to increase sexual vigor.
  • Momordica reduces body fat and increases testosterone.  It is also an excellent source of Vitamin C.
  • Apigenin and Amla help maintain blood vessel health.
  • Arjuna regulates blood pressure and heart rate and helps you to pace your body.
  • Cordyceps boosts sex drive and increases testosterone production.
  • Zinc Oxide improves sperm quality and mobility and helps provide an environment conducive to the production of testosterone.
  • Reishi Mushroom increases energy and stamina while it improves your mood.
  • Curculigo improves erection quality, sex drive, and recovery time.
  • Drilizen increases production of testosterone through the increase of luteinizing hormone.  It also ups the amount of nitric oxide in your blood which helps relax the smooth muscles of the penis to allow more blood to enter in.
  • Bladderwrack helps the thyroid regulate metabolism which leads to both erection enhancement and overall sexual well-being.

ProSolution is a daily supplement with the recommended dose being 2 tablets per day.

ProSolution Pros and Cons

Advantages of ProSolution

  • It is doctor recommended.
  • It’s been around for a long time, and according to the website, tens of thousands of men have used it.
  • There is a money back guarantee.
  • The ingredients are all listed and explained.
  • Ordering is secure.
  • Free bonus gifts are available.

Disadvantages of ProSolution

  • It is expensive.
  • It requires daily commitment.
  • The money back guarantee requirements are confusing and contradictory.

Where to Buy

ProSolution pills are available online.  You can order through the official website which offers several different packages to suit your needs.  A one month supply costs $78.95 and comes without free bonus gifts.  You can go all the way up to a 12 month supply.  The cost is $388.95 and it comes with 4 free bonus gifts and free shipping.  The confusion is in the money-back guarantee.  One official seeming ProSolution website says the guarantee is for 67 days, and applies to up to 2 opened packages and all unopened packages.  Another official seeming website offers a 180 day guarantee which requires that you use the product for at least 90 days.

Conclusion

We’re having a tough time coming up with a recommendation for ProSolution pills.  They’ve been on the market for a long time, which would indicate a standup product offered by a reputable company.  On the other hand, the marketing has more in common with the type of product offered by shady, only-in-it-for-a-quick-buck companies.  The money-back guarantee confusion makes us skeptical that you would be able to satisfy the requirements if you wanted to implement it.  We think that while it’s possible that ProSolution works well, there are other, better, choices available.

NOW Tribulus 1000 And Chitosan Review – Is It Right for You?

NOW Tribulus 1000 Overview

NOW Tribulus 1000 is a daily supplement made by NOW Foods.  It’s targeted primarily toward men of a certain age who might benefit from an increase in testosterone levels for improved sex and athleticism.  The idea is that this supplement, though it contains no actual hormone, can boost the body’s own natural production of testosterone, allowing you to experience benefits that include:

  • More lean muscle mass
  • Less belly fat
  • Greater energy
  • Increased libido
  • More energy and stamina

NOW Tribulus 1000 ReviewNOW Tribulus 1000 Ingredients and How They Work

There is only one active ingredient in NOW Tribulus 1000.  That’s Tribulus Terrestris.  Tribulus is a perennial plant grown primarily in India.  It’s been used for centuries in ancient cultures as a tonic for sexual dysfunction.  The way it works is by increasing the secretion of Luteinizing Hormone.  The LH in turn signals the body to produce more testosterone.  It won’t cause endless amounts of testosterone to be produced.  Instead, it works to provide a healthier balance.  As a result, it’s effects seem to be more pronounced in older men and men with already decreased testosterone levels.

NOW Tribulus 1000 contains 1000 mgs of Tribulus Terrestris with a minimum of 45% Saponins which makes it one of the more potent formulas you can buy, especially for the price.  The recommended dose is 1 tablet taken once or twice daily.

NOW Tribulus 1000 Pros and Cons

Knowing what’s good and what’s bad about any particular supplement can help you figure out if taking it will result in an overall positive effect on you.

Benefits of NOW Tribulus 1000

  • It’s made by respected supplement company NOW Foods.
  • There are plenty of favorable NOW Tribulus 1000 reviews from customers, especially regarding sexual effects.
  • It’s available at some local retailers.
  • It’s pretty affordable.

Drawbacks of NOW Tribulus 1000

  • NOW Tribulus 1000 tends not to have much effect on young, healthy men with normal testosterone levels.
  • You shouldn’t expect big gains in the gym.
  • You may have to stack NOW Tribulus 1000 with other supplements to achieve the effect you’re looking for.

Where to Buy

NOW Tribulus 1000 is pretty widely available.  You can find it in stores, like GNC and online through a number of supplement retailers, including directly from the NOW Foods website.  The 90-count bottle sells direct for $20, while the  180-count saves you a little money with its $37.99 price tag.  We found significant discounts by looking around the internet.

Conclusion

NOW Tribulus 1000 isn’t going to significantly change your life.  That said, you could get some benefit from it if you’re a good candidate and you’ve got reasonable expectations.  If you’re aver 35 and you’re primarily looking for a bedroom boost, with maybe a little energy boost thrown in, NOW Tribulus 1000 could be an affordable way to go.

NOW Chitosan Claims Fantastic Results

NOW Chitosan promises the moon. The claims of fat blocking made by Chitosan manufacturers gets our attention. Their claims are even more fantastic. Conventional Chitosan is a dietary fiber derived from the pulverized shells of crustaceans (like shrimp) that binds to fat and oils absorbing as much as ten times its own mass. Its patented process, called LipoSan Ultra, a high density formula, claims as much as five times the Chitosan as conventional processes packed into a single pill. You can do the math.

NOW Chitosan’s Patented Product Challenges Conventional ThoughtNOW Chitosan Review

NOW Chitosan with Chromium binds with fat and oils in the body and keeps the body from absorbing them, flushing and cleansing the system of the undesired fats and forcing the body to use up stored fat. The LipoSan Ultra formula plus Chromium combine to make a capsule that stifles the body’s ability to absorb fat while regulating blood sucrose level. It is a fat fighting regimen in a bottle.

NOW Chitosan – Burgers Back In Your Diet?

  • It blocks fat from being stored
  • It inhibits LDL (bad) Cholesterol and boosts HDL (good) Cholesterol
  • It helps control blood pressure and reduces uric acid in the blood

Can You Go Wrong With Now Chitosan?

  • No clinical study has validated the claims of NOW Chitosan and several independent studies suggest that chitosan products in general have no definitive effect on fat entering the body
  • It may seem like a risk to try NOW Chitosan

Try a Bottle of NOW Chitosan

Health Food stores across the United States and Canada carry NOW Chitosan with Chromium. It can be ordered on such websites as bodybuilding.com and amazon.com. Prices range anywhere from $16 to $22. Of course, it can also be ordered at nowfoods.com where you can also search for stores in your area that carry the product.

NOW Chitosan is Another Good Weight Loss Tool

Now Chitosan with Chromium stands out above other chitosan products due to its patented LipoSan Ultra formula giving Now Chitosan five times the fat absorption properties of regular chitosan. The addition of Chromium helps regulate blood glucose by working with the body’s natural insulin. By absorbing the fats and oils in a person’s diet, it also stops fat stores from being increased and forces the body to use up previous fat stores. This results in a decrease in body mass index, weight loss and a smaller waist. The lack of clinical proof to identify how NOW Chitosan works does not nullify the fact that individuals have reported loss of weight, lower BMI’s and smaller waists. Because of its safe, all natural formula, it also poses no significant health risk for anyone to try it. Many are using this product as part of a healthy weight loss regimen and seeing positive results.
