The Real NZT 48 Review – Does It Exist?

The 2011 movie Limitless didn’t mark the beginning of smart drugs, but it definitely shed some new light on this category of drugs and supplements.   The movie starred Bradley Cooper as Eddie Morra, a down-on-his-luck writer worried about his impending deadline and unable to pay the rent.  His apartment was a pig sty.  His girlfriend had finally gotten fed up enough to cut him loose.  And he was generally just miserable to the point of not being able to function.

Enter NZT 48, a pill offered to him by his ex-brother-in-law.   After taking it, Eddie finishes his entire book in an afternoon, he makes a killing in the stock market, and he can command the attention of any women he wants.  Then of course, the action and intrigue begin as various forces try to use Eddie and get the drugs from him.  It’s a good movie.  You should see it if you get the chance.  But what we’re concerned with for our purposes is the NZT 48 and whether or not there’s anything that resembles The Real NZT 48.

The Real NZT 48 ReviewWhat is NZT 48?

NZT 48 is the fictional drug used in the movie.  It’s advertised as enabling you to access 100% of your brain where we usually only use less than 20%.  You feel more alert and awake.  You think more clearly.  You can access memories you didn’t even know you had.  You know just what to do, and you have the energy to do it.

Where Can I Get The Real NZT 48?

When the movie came out, part of the marketing campaign was a number of websites supposedly selling The Real NZT 48.  It was called thallanylzirconic-methyl-tetrahydro-triazatriphenylene.  The website looked almost professional, but there were hints in some of the fine print.  For example, we found the disclaimer, “We are not responsible if you die.”

Some of  these websites are still around, and I’m sure they still gets lots of traffic from men and women who want to function at their cognitive levels.  So, the real question is, now that we know NZT 48 is fake, is there something else, only real?

There are also TONS of nootropic supplements out there that are literally calling themselves the “inspiration behind the movie Limitless“, complete with fake tweets from the real Limitless Twitter page and saying celebrities are using their products.

Here’s just a few of them:

Neuro3x limitless tweet

You can see our Neuro 3X review here.

brain plus iq limitless pill

You can read our Brian Plus IQ review here.

accelerin limitless

And check out our Accelerin review here.

Don’t be fooled…these companies are simply making false claims, and in most cases the supplements do absolutely nothing,

Benefits of Nootropics

Clearly, nothing will give you the drastic effects of the  NZT 48 in the movie, but nootropics do work.  Basically what they do is fire up some of the neurotransmitters in your brain so it can make better connections.  And you end up with a wide awake feeling, better recall, enhanced long and short term memory, and in a lot of cases, a better mood with more energy.

The Real NZT 48

Okay, so we’ve established that there is no The Real NZT 48.

However, there are prescription drugs out there that can DEFINITELY help increase your cognitive performance.

Adderall

is adderall the real nzt

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 8 years, you’ve probably heard of Adderall.  In it’s purest form, it’s essentially legal speed.  Adderall uses a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, both of which are central nervous system stimulants, to produce increased focus, concentration, and motivation.

College students throughout the US use (and sometimes abuse) adderall to help them study for tests.

The downside to Adderall is that it can potentially become addictive, and tolerance to the drug builds steadily.

The longer you take it, the higher the dose you need to perform at the same levels.

I can definitely attest to it’s effectiveness, as I’ve taken it in the past.

I’ve also tested a TON of natural supplements that claim to be MORE effective than adderall, and with a lower prevalence of side effects.

Many of these often contain some variation of the word “Adderall”, and they include:

Addieup

addieup the real nzt

This supplement uses a clever play on words to make it sound like it’s legit over the counter Adderall.  When I first tested it, I have to admit, it worked REALLY well.

However, they FDA ended up banning the primary ingredient they were using (it’s called DMAA) and as a result they were forced to reformulate it.

Now, it’s not even HALF as effective as it once was, and it’s certainly not a REAL NZT pill.

You might still be able to find a few bottles of the old formula floating around on sites like eBay, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

AdderRX

AdderRx Review

This supplement, which is marketed and sold by a company called NexGen nutraceuticals, promises to increase mental clarity, focus, and fine tune your cognition.

When I first tested it out I felt like I had taken a caffeine pill.

Well, it turns out that this is actually the primary ingredient in AdderRX, as well as several other potent stimulants like Bitter orange extract and DMAE.

Is it the real NZT pill?  Far from it!

Modafinil

Another drug that has been likened to the real NZT is Modafinil.  This drug was made for the specific purpose of treating patients with narcolepsy, shift-work disorder, and excessive daytime sleepiness.

However, it’s off label use in ADHD and anecdotal reports show that it can be VERY effective at helping you stay alert and focused.

Will it make you smarter and able to conquer the stock market?  Probably not.

But it can certainly help keep you awake and productive.

Typically, Modafinil is only available with a prescription from a doctor.

However, there are some websites that are selling legit Modafinil online without one.

One such one I came across recently is Afinil Express, click here to read my review.

Alternatively, there are some over the counter alternatives that can help mimic the effects of NZT 48.

Herbal Supplements

I’ve tested A LOT of supplements that claim to be “adderall alternatives” and to be quite honest, many of them were complete garbage.

However, one particular one that I noticed worked very well was a supplement called Optimind.

When I took it, I felt clear and energized, and far more motivated to get things done.  I didn’t end up like Eddie Morra in the movie, and frankly that’s a good thing. Who needs the drama?  I just wanted that edge.  And that’s what I got.

I talk about it in my detailed review, as well other supplements that work very well, in this article.

Phenotropil Review – Does It Work?

Phenotropil Overview

Using a drug or supplement to enhance your physical and/or mental performance is nothing new.  It just gets more technologically advanced as time goes on.  The effects depicted in the movie, Limitless, where the down-on-his-luck, lazy writer is able to harness his full brain capacity and accomplish impossible tasks in short order may be a little exaggerated.  But the fact is, on a smaller scale, such drugs exist.

They’re called smart drugs, nootropics, brain boosters, ADD/ADHD alternatives, or memory supplements.  And they help you feel more alert, increase your concentration and focus, improve your memory, and feel more all-around capable.

Phenotropil is the brand name of Phenylpiracetam.  It’s a form of nootropic that does all the things the others do, and it improves your physical abilities as well.

Phenotropil ReviewHow Phenotropil Works

First a very quick overview of how Phenotropil and other nootropics work.  In the brain, it’s your neurotransmitters that store information and make connections.  What nootropics do at the most basic level is stimulate certain neurotransmitters so your brain works better.  Phenotropil, unlike a lot of other kinds, also improves your coordination and stamina.  This makes it more popular with athletes than many of the other choices.

People also say that Phenotropil is less of a stimulant than  a lot of other nootropics.  It is more about cognitive enhancement and less about feeling wide awake and ready for anything.

What to Expect When You Take Phenotropil

People who have taken Phenotropil report the following effects:

  • Greater concentration.
  • Improved neuromuscular coordination.
  • Better memory.
  • Improved reasoning and judgement.
  • Better perception and awareness.
  • Enhanced mood.
  • Increased alertness.
  • More tolerance for pain.

Benefits of Phenotropil

One major advantage that Phenotropil has is that it is up to 60 times stronger than the original racetams.  That means you can take far less to achieve the same or similar results.

Phenotropil and Doping

Phenotropil (phenylpiracetam) is on the list of banned performance enhancing substances put out by the World Anti-Doping Agency.  In fact, more than one Olympic athlete has been disqualified for using it.  This doesn’t make it illegal, however.  Just not for use by tested athletes.

Phenotropil Availability

Phenotropil is much more popular in Russia, where it was developed, than here in the US.  It is, however, beginning to become more well-known and available here.  You can buy it through online supplement stores, and the price varies widely.  This will have a tendency to settle down some after it’s been available here in the states for longer.

Conclusion

As Phenotropil becomes more and more available in the states, I’d say you definitely want to look out for it and give it a try.  It has the potential to become your go to nootropic when you’re looking for ways to achieve your best outcomes.

Sulbutiamine Review – Should You Use It?

Sulbutiamine Overview

Believe it or not, there are supplements out there that can help you be more alert, more aware, more able to learn, understand, and remember, and better at focus and concentration.  These supplements are technically called nootropics, but they’re also known as smart drugs, brain boosters, ADD/ADHD alternatives, and memory enhancers (to name a few).  Once you start looking, it’ll seem like they’re everywhere and everyone’s using them. And if you want to gain or maintain a competitive advantage in your academic or professional life, you may want to as well.

The nootropic we’re taking a look at today is Sulbutiamine.  It’s got some pretty avid fans, so we wanted to see if we could find out why.

Sulbutiamine ReviewHow Sulbutiamine Works

Many nootropics work in very similar ways, by stimulating certain neurotransmitters in the brain.  They are mainly racetams, and they use similar mechanisms to achieve their effectiveness.  But Sulbutiamine is a little different.  It’s a derivative of Vitamin B1 or Thiamine.  It acts on the brain by allowing certain receptors, like those for choline, glutamine, and dopamine to work better.  This improves mood, minimizes inhibitions, makes you feel more alert, and improves memory and concentration.  You may be wondering why you didn’t already know this about Thiamine and why isn’t everyone just loading up on this vitamin?  The answer is that Sulbutiamine is able to easily cross the blood brain barrier, where ordinary Thiamine is not.

Sulbutiamine Dosage

Most nootropics, including Sulbutiamine, are not regulated by the FDA because they are considered supplements, not drugs.  This means that there really isn’t a formal “recommended dose.”  Instead, you do your homework and rely on the recommendations of other people that have used them.  In the case of Sulbutiamine, there seems to be some consensus that a reasonable dose is about 600 to 800 mg. Tolerance is built up fairly quickly with Sulbutiamine, so it’s not something you’d take every day. You’d use it to help with an all night study session for example.

Sulbutiamine is fat soluble, so you’ll want to take your dose after a meal.

What to Expect

When you take Sulbutiamine, you should feel awake and alert, but in a clean, non-jittery way.   Your memory and recall should improve.  And you should feel less shy and with fewer inhibitions. Sulbutiamine is not, however, something you should take every day because you will build up a tolerance pretty quickly.

Sulbutiamine Side Effects

Taken at normal doses, there are no reported side effects.  There has been little to no study on higher doses.  There is some concern, however, that the effect of Sulbutiamine on dopamine levels is similar to that of cocaine, in that it disables natural dopamine receptors, making it harder to feel good without it. This would indicate that Sulbutiamine is addictive.  This has not been confirmed, but it is something you’ll want to look out for.

Where to Buy

You can buy Sulbutiamine through online supplement stores, and it’s pretty cheap.  Smart Powders sells a bottle of 100 capsules, 200 mg each for $10.99.  You can also buy it in powder form.

Conclusion

Sulbutiamine is an interesting nootropic.  It has a reputation as being really effective, to the point where many people consider it a party drug.  This may be great, but you may be getting more than you bargained for.

Nootropil Review – The Original Nootropic

Nootropil Overview

When you start looking into the world of nootropics (brain boosters, memory enhancer, ADD/ADHD Alternatives), you’ll undoubtedly come across Nootropil fairly early on.  That’s because it is the most popular brand name of the most popular supplement – Piracetam.  Piracetam is the original nootropic and remains the standard by which all others are judged.

Nootropil, being the most popular of the most popular, is also the most studied.  So while the world of nootropics is a little like the American Wild West of the 1800s, Nootropil offers a little more certaintly than the rest.  That can be comforting, but you also want results.  So what can Nootropil do for you?

Nootropil ReviewHow Nootropil Works

As a member of the racetam family of smart drugs, Nootropil stimulates the release of acetylcholine in the brain.  Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter extremely important to the best cognitive functioning of the brain.  It improves the connections between the left and right side of the brain, increases creativity, and enhances recall ability.

Benefits of Nootropil

Nootropil is prescribed in some European countries to combat vertigo and muscle twitches.  More commonly, however, it is used to enhance cognitive functioning.  People who use it report that they are better able to focus, learning comes easier, they feel more alert, aware, and perceptive, and that recalling things they’ve previously learned becomes easier.

Side Effects of Nootropil

Nootropil is known to be very low in toxicity, and safe for use by humans.  The most common side effects reported are headache and fatigue.  This can usually be remedied by adding a choline supplement to your dietary routine.

Nootropil Dosing

Ever since the entry of newer nootropics to the market, the biggest downfall of Nootropil is its large dosing requirements. Most of the newer varieties are much more potent, requiring much smaller doses.  For cognitive enhancement, it is recommended that you take 5 grams of Nootropil per day.

Nootropil Pros and Cons

Advantages of Nootropil

  • It’s been tested more extensively than any other nootropic available.
  • It has been clinically shown to be effective.

Disadvantages of Nootropil

  • It requires a large dose.
  • It tastes pretty horrible if you’re using the powder or spray.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Nootropil online through any of a number of retailers.  You’ll find it available in powder, pill, or spray form.  It’s common to see a bottle of 60 800 mg tablets selling in the neighborhood of $30.

Conclusion

If you’re just starting out with nootropics, Nootropil can be a good place to start.  It’s been widely tested and used so you won’t feel like you’re out there experimenting on your own.  Be warned however, that you will probably want to move on from Nootropil pretty quickly to see what else the world of nootropics has to offer.

Sunifiram Review – The Newest Nootropic?

Sunifiram Overview

Sunifiram is one of the newer nootropics on the market, and as such should probably not be the first one that anyone experiments with.  It’s been studied somewhat extensively in rats, and it shows some real promise, but official human trials have not yet taken place.  But since most nootropics are considered safe and they’re available over the counter, there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence out there or how and how well it works.

Sunifiram ReviewWhat is Sunifiram?

The original nootropics were racetams.  Sunifiram is closely related to racetams, but is technically an ampakine because its primary mechanism of action is on AMPA receptors.  It also works to help the release of acetylcholine (another neurotransmitter in the brain).

How Sunifiram Works

Briefly so as not to get too mired down in the scientific talk, Sunifiram stimulates AMPA receptors in the brain.  These AMPA receptors are responsible for releasing Glutamate, a very important neurotransmitter for memory and making cognitive connections.  Sunifiram also stimulates the release of Acetylcholine, another neurotransmitter, this one responsible for alertness, perception, and focus.

Okay, so the science can get a little dry.  What we really want to know is what does Sunifiram do and should we use it.  So let’s get to that.

Benefits of Sunifiram

Sunifiram shows promise as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease because of its effect on memory.  In the rat studies, it was shown to reverse the effect of drug-induced amnesia.  Off the record human experimentation has shown the same.  People who’ve taken Sunifiram say that there are real cognitive benefits and that the dose required to get those benefits is far lower than it is for the original racetam, Piracetam.

The effects most commonly reported are:

  • Improved memory, both short and long term.
  • Better clarity.
  • Better ability to make connections between seemingly disparate concepts.
  • Increased productivity.

Sunifiram Side Effects

Sunifiram appears to have a low toxicity level, just like most other nootropics.  Again, there have not been clinical trials performed on humans, so more information regarding side effects may yet come to light at some point

Sunifiram Dosing

One of the biggest potential advantages to Sunifiram is its potency.  Whereas you might need to take hundreds of mg of Piracetam or the like, you’d take only a tiny fraction of that if you’re using Sunifiram.  Between 5 and 10 mg seems to be the most common dose we found.

Conclusion

Sunifiram definitely shows promise.  The fact that it works on two different types of neurotransmitters is a big plus, and the testing on rats with memory loss is looking very encouraging.  Out biggest concern is that it is too new and untested on humans.  I’d recommend you wait a while on this one.  Wait till Sunifiram is further tested and lives up to its promise.

Pramiracetam Review – Better Thinking Through Chemistry

Pramiracetam Overview

So you’re thinking about taking a brain boosting supplement, a memory enhancer, a smart drug, an over the counter ADD/ADHD alternative?  You’re not alone.  More and more people are discovering how these drugs and supplements can improve their mood, their focus, their concentration, and their productivity.  These supplements are called nootropics, and they’re all the rage in performance enhancement.

The particular nootropic we’re looking into now is called Pramiracetam.  It’s a member of the racetam family.  The original racetam was called Piracetam.  Pramiracetam is similar, but 15 to 30 times stronger.  This basically means that in order to achieve the same result, you can take less.

Pramiracetam ReviewWhat to Expect from Pramiracetam

Different nootropics have different “specialties.”  Some are more about mood enhancement.  Some have a strong stimulant effect.  Some are all about improving your cognitive abilities.  There are entire forums devoted to discussions of these supplements, which ones do what, and why to choose certain kinds over others.

Pramiracetam is the kind of nootropic that focuses on brain power.  More than anything, you’ll notice:

  • Clearer visual and auditory perception.
  • Better cognitive ability.
  • Easier learning.
  • Improved long and short term memory.
  • Increased focus, attention, and concentration.

How Pramiracetam Works

What Pramiracetam does is act directly on the neurotransmitters of the brain.  These are where connections take place allowing you to learn, understand, and recall things better and more easily.  As a fat soluble substance, Pramiracetam lasts longer than some of the others so you only need to take it once per day.  Acetylcholine is the particular neurotransmitter that Pramiracetam acts on, so lots of users supplement with choline simultaneously so they’re sure to have enough in their system at any given time.

Pramiracetam Dosing

Pramiracetam is pretty strong as far as nootropics go, so you’ll want to start off slowly.  Most people recommend starting with 150 mg a day at first, building up to a dose of 300-1200 mg depending on your needs.  It’s also not necessary to stack Pramiracetam with anything other than a choline supplement.

Pramiracetam Side Effects

Pramiracetam, like all the racetams are generally well tolerated.  The most commonly reported side effects are headache and fatigue, and these can usually be curbed fairly easily with the addition of a choline supplement.  Pramiracetam is also known to build a tolerance very quickly, so you’ll want to cycle on and off or only use it when you need to be at peak form for productivity.

Where to Buy

Online supplement retailers sell Pramiracetam, usually in powder form because there is no real standard dosing.  We found a 50 gram tub selling for about $60.

Conclusion

Pramiracetam is definitely a favorite among the racetams when it comes to improving cognitive function.  If this is your goal, I’d say it’s worth a try.

Phenylpiracetam Review – Does It Work?

Phenylpiracetam Overview

Brain boosting drugs and supplements have actually been around for decades.  They’re called nootropics, and the first one (Piracetam) was developed in the 1960’s in at a Belgian pharmaceutical company.  Today, lots of people use these chemical compounds to improve the way they think, focus, concentrate, and remember.  The movie Limitless starring Bradley Cooper is about super powerful nootropic and how it affects the life of a down on his luck writer.

Along the way, several new nootropics have been developed, each with its own special attributes.  One of these is Phenylpiracetam, which is  a derivative of that original Piracetam.  Of course, as time has gone on, these drugs have gotten stronger.  In fact Phenylpiracetam is said to be as much as 30-60 times stronger than Piracetam itself.

Phenylpiracetam ReviewHow Phenylpiracetam Works

The difference between Phenylpiracetam and Piracetem is just a molecule, but it allows Phenylpiracetam to pass far more easily through the blood brain barrier.  It also gives it more of a clean stimulant effect, and allows for longer and more fluid stretches of concentration.  It’s ideal for students and for anyone who wants help getting it all done.  Lots of bodybuilders are also taking Phenylpiracetam to help with endurance and recovery times.

The Phenylpiracetam Difference

As you look around and research or try different nootropics, you’ll find they each kind of fit into a niche.  Phenylpiracetam is in the stimulant niche.  It makes you feel alert and aware, but not jittery.  You don’t need to take it every day and get a build up.  In fact, it creates a tolerance pretty quickly so you wouldn’t want to take it every day.  Phenylpiracetam is one that you could take just at those times when you need it.  Maybe use it on a big workout day or on a day when you’ve got more on your plate at work than you think you can handle.

Benefits of Phenylpiracetam

Phenylpiracetam gives you clean stimulation, without jitters or crash.
You can take it when you need it, and don’t have to take it every day.
Most Phenylpiracetam reviews we saw say it increases motivation.
It is also said to reduce stress and anxiety.

Phenylpiracetam Side Effects

Phenylpiracetam is considered to be safe, but it is on the list of banned substances for Olympic athletes.  It is also thought to increase a person’s tolerance for cold.

Where to Buy

There are quite a few online sources for Phenylpiracetam. You may have to look around for a retailer you trust to provide quality product.  Amazon carries 5 gram jars that they say is 99% pure for $36.88.

Conclusion

There are all sorts of nootropics with all sorts of subtle nuances that separate them from the pack.  Phenylpiracetam improves your mood and cognitive ability in the short term, and may be right for stacking with another nootropic.

Phenibut Review – Does It Work?

Phenibut Overview

All sorts of drugs and supplements fall into the broader category of “nootropics.”  Basically what they are is brain boosters.  They help you think better, concentrate more acutely, pay attention for longer, and recall things more easily.  The many different kinds, however, each work in slightly different ways and have slightly different benefits.  Most of these are not classified as drugs, so they’re not regulated by the FDA and don’t require a prescription to take.  There’s a whole “cult” of guys (and gals) that swear by these supplements, making the rounds of each one in attempt to find the one that works best for their particular needs.

Phenibut is one such nootropic compound.  It is related to GABA, a neurotransmitter found naturally in the body.  It’s better than GABA, however, because it is better at crossing the blood brain barrier.  Let’s back up just a bit, though, and talk a little more about nootropics in general.

Phenibut ReviewWhat is a Nootropic?

These compounds work by acting on the neurotransmitters present naturally in the brain.  Each distinct nootropic acts slightly differently, but the goal of them all is to boost the brain’s cognitive functioning.  They improve memory.  They increase retention.  They quicken recall.  After these benefits, they begin to distinguish themselves.  Some make you more awake and alert.  Some relieve stress and anxiety.  Some work against depression.  Choosing the right one can sometimes be a matter of choosing which feels the most right to you.

How Phenibut Works?

Phenibut in particular is a little different than a lot of the other choices.  In Russia, it is a prescribed medication for anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.  While it also improves cognitive functioning, its primary use is for relieving stress and anxiety.

How to Use Phenibut

Phenibut has been found to be very safe, but it does create a tolerance which will minimize its effectiveness over time.  That’s why Phenibut is commonly cycled in a two weeks on/two weeks off rotation.  This maintains effectiveness without disrupting the effect too much.

Phenibut Pros and Cons

Advantages of Phenibut

  • It’s been clinically shown to relieve anxiety and stress.
  • It’s been shown to have very low toxicity.

Disadvantages of Phenibut

  • You can develop a tolerance quite quickly, and there may be side effects to that such as rebound anxiety.
  • Its effects as a nootropic have not been well-studied.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Phenibut from a number of different manufacturers and sources, some more reliable than others.  You can get it in powder or pill form and the price varies a great deal.

Personally speaking, I have tried several brands of Phenibut, including Kavinace, Phenibut XT, and Happy Hippo Phenibut.  I’m amazed at how much of a difference there can be between retailers, which leads me to believe it all depends on where they are sourcing their phenibut.

Conclusion

Phenibut is really more about improving mood than it is about improving cognitive function, though on some level, it accomplishes both.  From all that I’ve heard and read about it, Phenibut requires a bit of experimentation to figure out how and when taking it is best for you.  You’ll also have to watch out for the tolerance issues.  In the end, for straight cognitive enhancement, there are better options.

Oxiracetam Review – Should You Use It?

Oxiracetam Overview

Whether you’re riding on a bus, taking an elevator, or sitting in a crowded restaurant, you’re bound to hear about these new supplements that make you think better.  They go by lots of different names – smart drugs, ADD/ADHD Alternatives, brain boosters.  But whatever you call them, all kinds of people are using them to reach their peak cognitive performance.

Oxiracetam belongs to the Racetam family of nootropics.  These were the first to be discovered and used.  Piracetam was the first, and the subsequent varieties have improved upon it.

Oxiracetam ReviewWhat is Oxiracetam?

Put as simply as possible, Oxiracetam is a chemical compound, not normally found in the human body.  It stimulates the release and activity of certain neurotransmitters within the brain.  These neurotransmitters are the mechanism that the different parts of the brain use to communicate with each other and process the information and stimulation they receive.

Oxiracetam like other racetams, improves your connections, which gives you greater clarity, memory, cognitive ability, and recall.

How Oxiracetam Works

Each nootropic compound works a little differently.  Oxiracetam is very bio-available, and therefore works faster and more efficiently than some of the others.  Like other recetams, it works on both AMPA and NDMA receptors, but not on seratonin and dopamine.  One thing that Oxiracetam has that some of the others don’t is a stimulant effect.  While some of the others do more in the way of mood enhancement, Oxiracetam doesn’t, but it does give you energy and motivation.

Oxiracetam Pros and Cons

Advantages of Oxiracetam

  • It improves memory and concentration.
  • It gives you better focus and a longer attention span.
  • It improves sensory perception.
  • It increases alertness and energy.
  • It has been shown to be safe.

Disadvantages of Oxiracetam

  • It is not a mood enhancer.
  • More study is need (and it is ongoing) to determine how to best harness the effectiveness of Oxiracetam.

Where to Buy

There are some online supplement retailers that carry Oxiracetam.  The most common form it comes in is powder.  It’s typical to see a supplement retailer charge about $7 for 5 grams of Oxiracetam.

Recommendation

Oxiracetam is a fairly well-liked nootropic compound.  It’s pretty common for people to bounce around a bit, trying different substances, trying to find the right one.  Anyone who does this has tried Oxiracetam, and many have stuck with it because they feel it gives them the best results.  So, if you’re going to go through the process of determining which is best for you, Oxiracetam is definitely a must-try.

Modafinil Review – Too Risky?

Modafinil Overview

You might be more familiar with its most common brand name, Provigil, but the drug’s generic name is Modafinil.  It’s an FDA regulated drug in the category called nootropics, or smart drugs.  There are several different nuances you’ll see in this category, though they all fit into the realm of cognitive enhancement (aka brain boosters).

Modafinil is generally prescribed for people with chronic fatigue due to shift work, sleep apnea, or narcolepsy.  It’s not an amphetamine, and it doesn’t act like one.  It doesn’t make you speedy or jittery.  The feeling is described more as “wakefulness”.  It allows users to be alert and to concentrate even on little or no sleep.

Modafinil is also commonly used “off-label” which means it’s used by people not to treat disorders, but to provide an edge, or enhancement, they’re trying to achieve.  In the case of Modafinil, it’s mental clarity, focus, and wakefulness.

Modafinil ReviewHow Modafinil Works

In order to achieve FDA approval, plenty of tests were performed on Modafinil, but it still remains largely unclear how it works.  What we do know is that it works on neurotransmitters in the brain, causing more to be released.  To put it real simply, it’s like firing on all cylinders, even ones you didn’t know you had.

Modafinil Side Effects

Modafinil is a prescription drug for a reason.  The side effects list is long and in bold print.  First of all, severe allergic reactions have been reported.  Then there’s the talk of irregular heartbeats, fever, chills, aggression, hallucinations, anxiety, depression, nervousness, and the ever so scariest of all – blisters on the inside of your eyes.

Modafinil Pros and Cons

Advantages of Modafinil

  • It’s been shown to work very well for the purpose for which it was made.
  • It provides a wakefulness without jitters or other typical stimulant effects.

Disadvantages of Modafinil

  • It can cause serious side effects.
  • Modafinil is only available with a doctor’s prescription.
  • It can be expensive.

Where to Buy

In theory, you’re supposed to visit your doctor and get diagnosed with a disease or disorder that qualifies you to get a prescription.

However, there are some online pharmarcies that will sell you Modafinil without a doctors prescription.

One such pharmacy I recently reviewed is called Afinil Express, who sells legit modafinil online.

Click Here to read my full review.

Conclusion

While we can certainly appreciate the allure of Modafinil, the potential for serious and scary side effects is just too great.  I would only recommend that you use it if your doctor prescribed it after finding a diagnosis of one of the conditions it’s for.  If you’re looking for nootropics, there are over the counter options that are safer than Modafinil.

Muscle Revolution Pro Review – Does It Really Work?

We come across all sorts of pre and post workout supplements here at SupplementCritique.com, and the latest one was actually a request from one of our visitors called Muscle Revolution Pro.  This supposed “celebrity muscle supplement” has been touted to be effective with a wide variety of other supplements, including anoradrol and a host of others.  But is this supplement really some “secret” muscle building formula that will get you lean, ripped, and in shape quick?  Likely not, and here is why…

What is Muscle Revolution Pro?

The official Muscle Revolution Pro website states that you will get “30% more muscle growth in up to 30 days” by taking their supplement, which sounds pretty intriguing.  I mean, who doesn’t want a supplement that can build that kind of lean muscle mass that quickly?  They go on to list some of the other benefits such as extreme pumps, mental focus, energy, and workout intensity, and even reduce post workout fatigue by as much as 30%.

muscle revolution pro reviewThere’s plenty of pictures of big, ripped dudes that are obviously paid models, but lack any real customer reviews or testimonials.  My favorite claim is that Muscle Revolution pro “produces protein”.  Yep, it says it right there in the comparison chart of their product, muscle milk, NO Xplode, and Gold Standard whey protein.  I’m here to tell you that, categorically, there is NO chance that your body can produce protein.  The body breaks down protein for the purposes of energy and muscle growth/repair, but it WILL NOT produce protein.  So, unless Muscle Revolution Pro contains protein in it, it will not produce protein.

Any Ingredients/Side Effects With Muscle Revolution Pro?

Which leads us to another question, what are the ingredients in Muscle Revolution Pro?  Surely if it is such a good product than they must have a list of the ingredients?  Nope.  The ingredients, like the original Coca Cola formula, are a coveted secret, and are undoubtedly protected in the national archives somewhere…You should also realize that, since we don’t know what the ingredients are, their is practically no way to tell if Muscle Revolution Pro has any side effects in it.

So How Can I Buy Muscle Revolution Pro?

That’s a great question, and I’m glad you asked it.  From what we can tell, you can’t find Muscle Revolution Pro in any supplement stores like GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, CVS, etc.  But wait, I do see that they have a free sample/trial?!  Why would you want to pay for it when you can get it free?  Just put in your credit card number to pay for the shipping, and you’ll be looking like Brad Pitt in fight club in like 2 weeks (btw, you won’t have to workout either).

So I put my credit card info in on the Muscle Revolution Pro order page, and just as I’m about to click the “order now” button, I see this:  By placing an order today, you will be shipped a 30-day supply of Muscle Revolution Pro. All you pay is $4.95 for shipping and handling. After 14 days, you will automatically be enrolled in the auto-shipment program and charged the full price of $89.95.

If you do not wish to enroll in our auto-shipment program, please call our Customer Care Department at 1-877-866-9675 within your 14-day trial period to cancel your account.  If you wish to be enrolled in our auto-shipment program, do nothing. We will ship out your monthly supply every thirty days from the day you are enrolled in the auto-shipment program and thereafter for a price $89.95 and a shipping and handling charge of $4.95.

Whoa…that was close.  Yes my friends, this is what is called an auto-rebill offer, and essentially what it means is you’ll only pay $4 or $5 for the shipping, but then they slam your credit card with the full retail price of the product 14 days later.  Then, as if to add insult to injury, they keep charging your card every 30 days and ship you a new bottle until you cancel (which, by the way, can be extremely difficult to do).

Recommendation

Run.  Run as fast as you can in the other direction if you come across Muscle Revolution Pro, or any other products that some blog thinks you should pair it with.  Not only will you save the time and hassle of fighting to get your money back or cancel further shipments, but you will likely gain more lean muscle with grilled chicken and a baked sweet potato then you ever would with their supplement.  And with far better options out there that won’t steal your hard earned money, it’s not worth the risk.

Citicoline Review – Should You Use It?

Citicoline Overview

All of a sudden, everyone’s taking brain boosters.  It makes sense really.  You want to get that competitive edge, and you’ll do what it takes to get it.  Well, one way that’s getting more and more popular is by taking a classification of drugs or supplements called nootropics.  This name covers a wide variety of products, different in all sorts of ways – mechanism of action, primary market, drug classification status, you name it.  For today, we’re looking at one called Citicoline.

In some countries,  Citicoline is prescribed as a medication to improve blood flow in the brain and to restore cognitive capacity that’s been lost due to age related issues, traumatic brain injury, or stroke.  Here in the US, it’s available in the US over the counter as a supplement people use to boost their brain power.

Citicoline ReviewHow Citicoline Works

Citicoline is actually present in the body naturally.  What it does is increase acetylcholine levels in the brain.  If you know anything about nootropics, you know that acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter in the brain, key for optimal memory, recall, and learning.  Blood circulation is also improved with  Citicoline, and that helps deliver more oxygen which boosts your mental energy (longer attention span).

The recommended dose for boosting brain power is 1000 to 2000 mgs a day, though it is recommended that you consult with your doctor about your specific needs and goals.   Citicoline is one of the most popular nootropics to stack with a racetam, as the two are very complimentary.

Citicoline Pros and Cons

Advantages of Citicoline

  • Studies have shown it to be effective.
  • You can find positive Citicoline reviews and discussions about how it helps you think better and more clearly.
  • It stacks well with other nootropics.
  • Short term side effects are rare and mild.

Disadvantages of Citicoline

  • Long term use hasn’t been studied, so the potential for side effects is not known.
  • It’s likely to work much better if you stack it, so cost will be a factor.

Where to Buy

You can purchase  Citicoline online under several different brand names.  Jarrow is a popular one.  A 60 count bottle of 250 mg capsules generally costs about $17.  If you take the low end of the recommended dose of 1000 mg to 2000 mg, the bottle will only last 2 weeks. It’ll only last a week if you need the higher dose amount.

Conclusion

Citicoline is a popular stacking nootropic.  It’s safe and effective according to most of the information out there, so that makes it worth trying.  Remember to pay attention to how your body reacts, and if you have any concerns or issues, consult with your doctor.

Centrophenoxine Review – Great for Stacking?

Centrophenoxine Overview

In some countries, Centrophenoxine is a prescription drug used by elderly patients with varying degrees of senility or Alzheimer’s disease. Here in the US, it is not regulated by the FDA or classified as a drug. It’s available over the counter (usually sold online), and it’s primarily used off-label as a cognitive and memory enhancer, or nootropic.

Centrophenoxine ReviewHow Centrophenoxine Works

Each nootropic has a slightly different mechanism of action. Centrophenoxine works through DMAE. What happens is, as DMAE is a natural chemical in the brain that’s a precursor to acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a key neurotransmitter for memory, focus, and general cognitive function. You could just supplement with DMAE, but Centrophenoxine has been determined to be much stronger because of the more efficient way it’s metabolized by the liver.

When you’re looking for a good nootropic, acetylcholine is extremely important. You want something that’ll lead to the higher levels, and Centrophenoxine does that. An additional benefit of Centrophenoxine is its antioxidant properties. It’s often marketed as an anti-aging aid for that reason.

The recommended dose is 1 or 2 250 mg tablets, taken once to three times daily. For nootropic uses, lots of people recommend stacking Centrophenoxine with a racetam.

Centrophenoxine Safety and Side Effects

While Centrophenoxine is generally considered safe, there are a few potential mild side effects to consider. These include headache, nausea, irritability, clenching of the jaw, and dizziness. Since this and other drugs like it are so often used off-label (for benefits other than those for which it was intended), it’s important to pay attention to your body and discontinue use is you notice anything unusual.

Where to Buy

In the US, you can purchase Centrophenoxine online under several different brand names. Ebay has a lot of kinds and choose from. 50 mg of pure powder form sells for about $20, which would make regular use pretty expensive.

Centrophenoxine Pros and Cons

Advantages of Centrophenoxine

  • It’s been studied and shown to work on elderly patients.
  • Side effects are rare and minor.
  • It stacks well with other nootropics.

Disadvantages of Centrophenoxine

  • We didn’t find much in the way of discussion or user reviews relating to Centrophenoxine.
  • It can become quite expensive with regular and long term use.

Conclusion

One of the interesting things of note about the nootropics market is that there’s a lot of stacking going on. People are finding that just one kind may not be enough, so they combine 2 or 3 for best results. Centrophenoxine is a good one to stack with a racetam. As always, we want to remind you to pay attention to your body, and don’t use Centrophenoxine to treat a self-diagnosed problem. Use common sense and see your doctor if you experience any difficulties.

Aniracetam Review – The Best Brain Booster?

Aniracetam Overview

As a member of the nootropics category of drugs and supplements, Aniracetam can be used to broost your brain capacity.  What that means to you is that you can:

  • Improve your ability to learn and remember.
  • Elevate your perception.
  • Increase your focus.
  • Reduce your anxiety.
  • Improve your mood.

Aniracetam belongs to the racetam family of nootropics, which is the original and standard-bearing class.  But Aniracetam is said to be much stronger and more effective than some of the older versions.  Testing for Aniracetam has been extensive in animals and in humans with Alzheimer’s, and it is regularly prescribed in Europe for people with various forms of cognitive dysfunction.

Aniracetam ReviewHow Aniracetam Works

The mechanism of Action for Aniracetam is similar to that of other racetams.  It stimulates some of the most important neurotransmitters for mood and mental function.  These receptors play a role in learning and memory.  It also has the ability to reduce anxiety without causing sedation, so it is a popular choice for off-label use as an anti-anxiety aid.

Aniracetam Side Effects and Safety

Generally well tolerated, some mild side effects can be expected when taking Aniracetam.  These include headaches, nausea, and insomnia.  Long term effects have not been studied, so it is important that you don’t self-prescribe Aniracetam for a true physiological problem.

Aniracetam Pros and Cons

This is always a good way to help decide if this or any particular product is the one for you.

Advantages of Aniracetam

  • It can improve mental clarity.
  • It has been extensively tested and found effective.
  • There are some positive Aniracetam reviews, particular commenting that it works quickly.

Disadvantages of Aniracetam

  • Long term negative effects are unknown.
  • Aniracetam is unregulated in the US, and there have been reports of inferior quality product being sold.
  • Prices vary widely.

Where to Buy

You’ll have to buy Aniracetam online.  It goes by several brand names, like Draganon and Sarpul.  You can buy it in pill or powder form.  If you’re going with powder, you can get 50 mg for $17.99 or 100 mg for $29.99.  Prices vary a lot depending on where you go.

Conclusion

Aniracetam is a good bet for anyone wanting to increase focus and mental clarity.  The biggest problem, though, is that it’s hard to know that you’re getting what you pay for.  It’s kind of a wild west out there with this product, so if you pursue it, you should go into it knowing that you may get ripped off.

Adrafinil Review – Should You Use It?

Note: This is just a review. Click Here to buy Adrafinil legally online.

We here at SupplementCritique.com has been studying, researching, and personally testing a wide variety of Nootropics over the last several months, and it’s been pretty interesting.

Some of these nootropics worked great, while others, not so much.

In today’s review we’re going to be talking about one recent one we tested called Adrafinil.

Conclusion

What is Adrafinil?

More popularly known as a smart drug, Adrafinil is a kind of wakefulness-promoting agent that, when taken, is used as a psychostimulant.

Adrafinil is a kind of nootropic, the kind of supplement that is taken primarily for its effects on the brain. More specifically, it is a eugeroic nootropic, or the kind that promotes attention and alertness while preventing sleep.

chemical structure of adrafinil
Adrafinil Chemical Structure

Discovered by two French scientists back in 1974, the drug was given the brand name ‘Olmifon’ and was sold in French pharmacies since 1984. (Source: 1)

Back then, Olmifon was marketed primarily to benefit the elderly who needed to improve their alertness, wakefulness, and even mood. Eventually, however, the product started having younger consumers, more specifically individuals who wanted to push back fatigue such as workers who do overtime or work at night.

Sometime in September 2011, the drug was discontinued since more potent alternatives have been produced and made available in the market.

This didn’t mean, however, that Adrafinil was no longer effective, considering that the drug was included in the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of prohibited athletic drugs back in 2004. In fact, it is still classified by most governments as a prescription drug because of its potential dangers, and it still sits at the very top of the World Anti Doping Stimulants list. (Source: 2)

adrafinil legal status wada

How Adrafinil Works

adrafinil reviewOnce taken, Adrafinil stimulates the central nervous system, specifically the body’s adrenergic system catecholamine hormone levels. These parts of the system produce adrenaline when the body is exposed to stress or excitement.

While the production of adrenaline can come naturally, Adrafinil makes it happen when the user needs it. The effects are then divided into two:

  • First, it keeps you awake. The initial effect of the drug gives you a boost in hypocretin. Known also as orexin, hypocretin is the neurotransmitter that’s responsible for promoting wakefulness and appetite. Hypocretin, however, is not the only factor to promoting wakefulness. Therefore, added doses of Adrafinil will cause the production of even more chemicals that induce attentiveness within the human body.
  • Secondly, it helps you concentrate better. Focus and concentration are not just attributed to wakefulness – since some people can be wide awake but still lack focus. In addition to keeping you awake, Adrafinil boosts your capacity to concentrate and remember things, which in turns helps improve the learning process. This is achieved when the drug induces the production of glutamate in the body. Glutamate is what’s responsible for helping you with your perception and other cognitive abilities.

Adrafinil has also been observed to inhibit the breakdown of dopamine, thereby reducing stress and promoting a more positive mood.

Suggested Dosage

Adrafinil is soluble in water and can be taken even on an empty stomach. Unlike Modafinil, the effects of the stimulant will be apparent within 45 minutes to an hour from taking.

Just like the early prescriptions of Olmifon, Adrafinil is set with a recommended dosage of 600 to 1,200 mg. Those being treated for narcolepsy are often given two 600 mg doses – one in the morning and another during the noon.  (Source: 3)

Another recommended dose would be to take either a 600 or 900 mg dose once upon waking up. Most users, today, however, have taken Adrafinil in 150 to 300 mg doses. This pace tends to be safer and helps avoid tolerance of the drug, which may reduce effectiveness in the long run.

To further avoid tolerance and addiction, experts recommend that the drug be taken in cycles, giving yourself rest periods to allow your body to not be dependent on the substance. For example, do on and off weeks so there will be significant periods of time when you can function without the aid of the stimulant. This practice will also help protect you from any known side effects of the drug.

Note: Be careful where you buy your Adrafinil. Since Olmifon got discontinued, there have been many cases where consumers of the drug have been duped into buying fake substances. One good indication of a fake product is the fact that the powder is tasteless. The water-soluble nature of Adrafinil also means that mixing it with water shouldn’t result in a cloudy mixture. (Source: 4)

Make sure to check labels for credible certification. Usually, Adrafinil is sold in packets of 10 to 20 grams, and the usual price will float around $40 per 10 grams. Take note of this especially when purchasing the product online.

My personal favorite is Adrafinil from AbsorbYourHealth.com.  I’ve personally used it on numerous occasions and can attest to its effectiveness.

Here’s a link to their site:  https://www.absorbyourhealth.com/product/adrafinil-300-mg-30-70-100-150-capsules-nootropic/?ref=4349

How to Use Adrafinil

To use, dissolve Adrafinil in a cup of hot water. To avoid intense side effects, you can start with 100 mg or less to see how to product affects you. Since the substance is water-soluble, it is expected that the mixture will be clear.

As with most drugs, always follow the instructions of your doctor to avoid any complications. Given that recommended doses can vary on a case-to-case basis, it’s quite clear that different individuals respond differently to the same dosage of Adrafinil.

What to Expect When Taking Adrafinil (Benefits and other effects)

As mentioned before, Adrafinil share the same effects as Modafinil. You will therefore experience the following effects at varied intensity, depending on the dosage:

  • Because of its primary effects, you will be able to stay awake in times when you’d otherwise fall asleep;
  • You’ll also be able to concentrate as if you weren’t tired at all. In fact, you’ll notice and even sharper focus than usual;
  • If you happen to be reading or studying something, you’ll also be able to learn better and even improve memory;
  • Since Adrafinil helps balance your mood, you won’t be affected by any hyperactivity, depression, or anxiety in case you’re suffering from any of these; and
  • Because of the reduced stress, you’ll be experiencing better motivation.

Some people who have taken Adrafinil have also attested to having a better night’s sleep. Remember, however, that taking Adrafinil during the afternoon or evening might result in the opposite, since the effect of the stimulant does promote wakefulness after all.

On the other hand, some people have experienced adverse effects after taking Adrafinil. Some of these include:

  • Nausea
  • Dehydration or dry mouth
  • Hallucinations
  • Chest pain
  • Irritability
  • Causes anxiety instead of reducing it

Studies have also shown that Adrafinil has the risk of negatively affecting people with heart conditions, since it is by nature a stimulant. It has also been observed that improper dosage could lead to liver damage.

But overall, responsible use of this stimulant has more benefits than risks. You will generally be experiencing better productivity during most days. Just make sure to observe the proper dosage.

Adrafinil vs. Modafinil

adrafinil vs modafinil review

Because the two are quite related in many ways, it is easy to mistake Adrafinil with its later counterpart, Modafinil. Most people would recognize Modafinil as Provigil, which is a brand name of the generic drug. (Source: 5) Both are cognitive enhancement drugs and they both even have almost the same chemical structure.

Effectiveness

The difference between the two, however, can be drawn from the fact that, as mentioned earlier, Adrafinil is a pro-drug to Modafinil. When both drugs metabolize in the liver, it takes less work for enzymes to trigger the effects of Modafinil than Adrafinil which still needs to be broken down into a Modafinil compound before taking effect. Unlike Modafinil which only takes about 20 minutes to kick in, Adrafinil will take about 40 minutes to an hour to take effect – which is one of the main reasons why Olmifon was discontinued later.

Related Article: Afinil Express Review – Legit Modafinil w/o A Prescription

The more important distinction in this respect, however, is the fact that the effects of Adrafinil will usually vary greatly between people. Because the metabolizing of Adrafinil in the liver is more complex, it is more dependent on not only one’s metabolic rate but on the production of enzymes as well. This means that people of the same sex and age will respond differently to the same dose of Adrafinil simply because one of them could have a more efficient liver than the other. Note that these differences in liver efficiency also means that people’s risk of incurring liver damage could vary as well.

Dosage

How the two drugs metabolize also make them differ in terms of the needed dosage. The wide range of dosages used by different people shows that Adrafinil can be taken safely, even when they go beyond the recommended dosage. The only difference is that some might not feel the effects of the stimulant at lower dosages because of their unique tolerance or metabolism. Of course, it is still recommended to start small before upping the dosage.

But because Modafinil does not need to be broken down into a different compound when it reaches the liver, it doesn’t require as high a dose as Adrafinil for people to feel its effects. In fact, the recommended dosage falls within a more restricted range of 100 to 200 mg, taken once per day, during the morning.

Some users have also attested that taking 200 mg of Modafinil with coffee has good effects, but higher doses like 400 to 600 mg or having too much caffeine with the usual 200 mg causes varying levels of anxiety and sleeping problems.

It appears that, so that both would demonstrate approximately the same effects, the Adrafinil to Modafinil dosage ratio would be 150 mg to 50 mg. This explains why most users of Adrafinil attest to have the same experience in taking 600 mg of Adrafinil as they would with 200 mg Modafinil.

I talk about Adrafinil Vs. Modafinil in my full review posted here, including my personal results with each.

Adrafinil vs. Armodafinil

adrafinil vs armodafinil review

Armodafinil is normally known in the market by their brands Nuvigil and Artvigil. This drug was designed to help its users deal with fatigue while being more effective even at doses less than that of Adrafinil and Modafinil.

At a recommended dose of 150 mg, Armodafinil does take less to be as effective as Modafinil or Adrafinil. Much like Modafinil, however, Armodafinil does not rely much on enzyme activity in the liver and therefore works faster than Adrafinil.

Adrafinil Can be a Cheaper Choice

Because Modafinil and Armodafinil are sold in their known brands, it can be expected that Adrafinil, although requiring higher doses to be as effective, would not be as expensive as the other two. As you already know, Olmifon is no longer available on the market, and Adrafanil is sold as a generic drug.

Adrafinil vs. Adderall

adrafinil vs adderall

It might not seem like it, but there is a huge difference between Adrafinil and Adderall than most people would think. It’s easy to mistake the two as related since they’re both taken to enhance one’s productivity and concentration. The two substances are, in fact, chemically unrelated.

Perhaps one of the most notable distinctions between the two is their main purpose. Comprised of amphetamine salts, Adderall is intended primarily to help treat ADHD. Adrafinil, on the other hand, much like Modafinil, is intended to remedy fatigue, but isn’t very effective in dealing with ADHD.

Below are a few more distinctions. Note, however, that since Adrafinil is a pro-drug of Modafinil, they will most likely share the same distinctions when compared with Adderall.

  • While both Adderall and Adrafinil are intended to boost concentration, Adderall targets behavior and executive functions. Adrafinil, on the other hand, stimulates attention and fights the negative effects of sleep deprivation.
  • As mentioned before, Adderall is used by people with ADHD. Adrafinil, however, can be used to treat sleeping disorders.
  • Because its chemical effects are not as potent as Adderall, Adrafinil is less likely to cause serious side effects and dependence that may lead to abuse.
  • Adderall is a schedule II controlled substance while Adrafinil is mainly considered a supplement. Because of the regulation, Adderall isn’t readily available online compared to Adrafinil. This fact, as mentioned before, does create its own risks.

One thing’s for sure: the two are not meant to be alternatives to each other. Unless a person is diagnosed with ADHD or a physician prescribes it, Adderall should be off your list of medication if all you’re looking for is a productivity enhancer.

Conclusion

With proper dosage and knowledge of the substance, Adrafinil is a pretty safe and effective way of staying alert and focused at times when you need it the most. Whether you’re a student or a late night worker, healthy doses of Adrafinil will definitely help you a lot!

Noopept Review – Best Brain Booster?

Noopept Overview

Brain supplements are getting more and more popular every day, and is it any wonder?  We live in a competitive world.  With the guy at the next desk working his ass off to one up you on every project, you’ve got to do something to get and stay on top.  Some people choose to use illicit drugs, like ADHD meds or amphetamines.  But there’s a clearly better choice – nootropics.  These are safe and effective cognitive enhancement supplements, and if you haven’t heard of them, you’re missing out.

There are different families of nootropics, the most original and most popular one being racetams.  Noopept is a supplement that works similarly to racetams, only 1000 times better.  (This is due mainly to its better absorption rate).  The kind of benefits you can expect from Noopept are:

  • Better cognitive performance
  • Increased learning capacity
  • Memory support
  • Better reflexes
  • Keener perceptions
  • More logical thinking
  • Elevated mood (relief from symptoms of depression and anxiety)

Sounds awesome, right?  Well let’s back up just a bit, and we’ll talk about how it all comes together.

Noopept ReviewWhat is Noopept?

It was first developed in Russia, where it is currently used as a prescription medication for patients with cognitive processing issues.  Noopept is actually prescribed in several European countries.  In the US, it is legal and available over the counter.

How Noopept Works

Noopept comes from the racetam family of nootropics, and as such, has been found to be neuroprotective and to enhance memory.  It stimulates the release of brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that are known to enhance all aspects of learning and focus.  It also facilitates communication between the two sides of the brain, making cognitive processing more seamless.

Noopept is a tablet that you break up and put under your tongue.  This allows it to absorb quickly and act fast.  You can get it in strengths of 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg.  It is usually recommended that you start with the 10 mg and see how you respond.  Some people find that to be enough.  Others use Noopept at higher doses.

Noopept Pros and Cons

Advantages of Noopept

  • It is 1000 times stronger than its predecessors.
  • There are some very favorable Noopept reviews and forum threads from guys who use it with great success.
  • It’s been clinically tested.
  • It’s legal and non-habit forming.

Disadvantages of Noopept

  • There have been some reported side effects, such as increased anger and headaches.
  • You may have to experiment with dosing and stacking before finding what’s just right for you.
  • It may become expensive if you need to use it at higher doses.

Where to Buy

You can buy Noopept through online supplement retailers.

My personal favorite is the Noopept over at Absorb Your Health.  It’s moderately priced, is more powerful than Piracetam, and in my experience it works REALLY well at help with overall cognition.

You can pick up 100 capsules (which translates to a 1 – 2 month supply) for only $20.

Here’s a link to their site:  https://www.absorbyourhealth.com/product/noopept-powder-1g-5g-10g-25g-powerful-racetam-nootropic-free-scoop/?ref=4349

Conclusion

Noopept is one of the more popular nootropics available, and it just seems to be getting more popular.  If you’re looking for a safe and effective brain boost, Noopept is a good option.  Just keep up on the latest findings about this relatively new field of supplements so you can take advantage of all the updates and improvements that are bound to be coming.

Stud-Max is a daily male enhancement supplement that claims to be better than Viagra. The way Stud-Max functions is by increasing your libido and strengthening your sex organs. With better capacity to hold more blood, your erections will be not just harder, but bigger as well.

The official website claims that Stud-Max will benefit every man, whether you’re 18 or 80, have issues with erectile dysfunction or not. And with no need for a prescription and easy, secure delivery, it’s the perfect solution for anyone who wants to increase her pleasure and his confidence.

Stud-Max ReviewStud-Max Ingredients and How They Work

The complete Stud-Max formula is listed on the website, complete with brief explanations of how each of the components works:

Advantages of Stud-Max

  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • There is a money back guarantee.
  • Shipping is secure.
  • There is an informative website.

Disadvantages of Stud-Max

  • It’s expensive.
  • Many of the ingredients are unfamiliar.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Stud-Max through the official website. A one month supply costs $59.95. You’ll save on the per month cost if you buy multiples. A 6 month supply is $249.95 which is a per bottle cost of just over $40. There is a money back guarantee, but the length of time for which you are covered is not specified.

Conclusion

Stud-Max is a middle of the road product. Some guys might find some benefit, but we wouldn’t necessarily count on it. Ultimately, there are many better choices in herbal male supplements. AndroEnlarge Review – Does It Work?

AndroEnlarge Overview

AndroEnlarge is a male enhancement supplement that claims it can increase the size of your penis. More specifically, it claims that you will grow an inch per month if taken for the recommended time frame of 3 months. AndroEnlarge has a very informative website where we were able to collect more of the information we needed to make an educated assessment of the product. Right from the get-go, there were confusing and contradictory claims that raised red flags of suspicion.

First of all, the claim is made right off the bat that AndroEnlarge will enlarge your penis, and the results will be permanent. The trouble is, this is impossible for a supplement to do. They go on to explain that the way it works is by, in effect, forcing the body back into a “second puberty”. It makes sense I guess because puberty is when your penis grew the most, so if you can recreate that state, then your penis will grow again. Well guys, this just doesn’t happen. And if it did, you would have known about it before now.

There are more red flags, but first lets look at the ingredients and see what they can do.

AndroEnlarge ReviewAndroEnlarge Ingredients and How They Work

The proprietary formula uses components such as:

  • Tribulus Terrestris. This is the one they say starts up your new puberty phase by releasing Luteinizing Hormone from the pituitary gland. This stimulates the testes to make more testosterone. Now this stuff is true to an extent, but it’s a normal adult male function and doesn’t throw you into puberty.
  • Horse Chestnut Seed Extract. This works the same way except that it’s getting the pituitary gland to release ACTH which stimulates the body’s production of DHEA.
  • Mucuna Pruriens. This is said to increase dopamine levels which creates a sense of euphoria.
  • Maca. We know this as an aphrodisiac. The AndroEnlarge website claims that it increases DHEA levels which lead to penis growth.
  • Chinese Wolfberry. This keeps blood glucose levels low so more growth hormone can be released.

The recommended dosing schedule is not explained on the AndroEnlarge website. We do know, however, that it’s a daily supplement, and that permanent results are said to be achieved after 90 day.

AndroEnlarge Pros and Cons

Here’s where things begin to get very clear.

Advantages of AndroEnlarge

  • None.

Disadvantages of AndroEnlarge

  • The entire premise of penis enlargement by entering into a second puberty is simply a made up farce.
  • AndroEnlarge is expensive.
  • They money back guarantee is misleading. (See below for more on this.)
  • There are no AndroEnlarge reviews from customers who’ve used it.

Where to Buy

Purchases of AndroEnlarge are made through the official website. A one month supply sells for $59.95. They recommend the 6 month package for $309.70 which comes with a free tube of AndroEnlarge Gel. This is a strange recommendation considering that they claim that best and permanent results are achieved at 90 days.

There is a money back guarantee, but if you read the fine print, it states that only unopened bottles will be refunded. This is misleading because they cite several times that your satisfaction is guaranteed. Refunding unopened bottles only does not qualify as guaranteeing your satisfaction.

Conclusion

AndroEnlarge is an overpriced, underperforming snake oil. There is no reason anyone should try it.

Ogomax Review – Should You Try It?

Ogomax Overview

The primary goals of most male enhancement supplements are to increase sexual desire and improve erection quality. The end result is more and better sex for both you and your partner. Ogomax is a product that has the same end result in mind (more and better sex for both you and your partner), but it it approaches the situation from a different angle.

Ogomax is a semen volume enhancer. The idea is that when you have more to ejaculate, you’ll have better, longer, more intense orgasms. And producing more volume also makes certain that you’re ready again sooner than you otherwise would be. Another interesting point about Ogomax is that it is made to be used by both men and women for improved sexual pleasure.

Ogomax ReviewHow Ogomax Works and Its Ingredients

There is no official Ogomax website, so information is a little hard to come by. For example, there is no published ingredient list. That’s unfortunate as it makes it that much harder to understand how exactly the product works.

We did find a list of benefits, however. They are:

  • Increased semen volume.
  • Whiter, thicker, healthier semen.
  • Intense Orgasms for both men and women.
  • Impressive ejaculations.
  • More confidence due to impressive ejaculations.
  • Women and men become multi-orgasmic.
  • Increase sexual energy and desire.

In terms of the man’s pleasure, the more semen you ejaculate, the more contractions it takes to release it. And each of those contractions needs to be strong enough to get the job done. That means longer, more intense orgasms. In terms of the woman’s pleasure, the claim is that women who have trouble orgasming will find it easier, and woman who do orgasm will find them to be more intense.

The recommended dose is one Ogomax pill per day. You should begin to see results in 10-12 days, and you can expect the maximum benefit to appear after about 30 days.

Ogomax Pros and Cons

Advantages of Ogomax

  • It’s affordable.
  • It can be used by both men and women.
  • Volume discounts are available

Disadvantages of Ogomax

  • There is no official website.
  • Nothing is known about the manufacturer.
  • No ingredient list is provided.
  • There’s a general lack of information.
  • No Ogomax reviews from customers are available.

Where to Buy

There are a few online retailers that carry Ogomax. A bottle of 30 pills sells for $29.99. If you buy more than one bottle at a time, the per bottle cost decreases.

Conclusion

We really can’t recommend a supplement without knowing what goes into the formula. There are other semen volume boosting options. We suggest you skip Ogomax and look into one of them.

Longz Review – Is Longz Discontinued?

Longz Overview

Longz was a male enhancement supplement that didn’t have its own website, but was available through many supplement retailers. It has since been discontinued, but since this market is so fluid, we’re providing a review just in case you find it somewhere or it returns to the market.

Longz was based on ancient Chinese herbal medicine and designed to support libido and erection quality, as well as to give you the energy and stamina to use them to their best advantage. We’ve seen it written that Longz also supported job performance by improving brain funciton and mental focus, though we can’t verify that information.

Longz ReviewLongz Ingredients and How They Work

The ingredient list that made up the Longz formula was readily available on the retail website that carried it. It included:

  • Maca Root which is an ancient Peruvian aphrodisiac that’s very popular in today’s male enhancement formulas.
  • Nettle Leaf which helps support a small and healthy prostate.
  • Cayenne which improves the flow of blood throughout the body.
  • L-Arginine which is a precursor to nitric oxide that increases the amount of blood that flows to the penis during arousal.
  • Epimedium which increases the flow of blood particularly to the penis for better erection.
  • Tribulus Terrestris which increases the production of testosterone in the testes.
  • Oat Straw which increases the amount of free testosterone usable by the body.

The recommended dose is one capsule per day, but we found no information on how long it should take to see results.

Longz Pros and Cons

Laying out the positive and negative aspects of a product side by side is a proven way to make a solid determination as to whether or not to pursue a purchase.

Advantages of Longz

  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • There was a money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of Longz

  • It’s been discontinued so is hard to find and getting harder.
  • Information about Longz is getting more and more scarce.
  • We found no independent Longz reviews.
  • There is no contact information available for the company.

Where to Buy

We found only one online source for Longz. A month’s supply was offered at $59.83.

Conclusion

Like we said earlier, the male enhancement market is fluid. Products come in and out every day. There are some winners and there are some that you wouldn’t want to touch with a ten foot pole. Our suggestion is that you stick with something that has a proven record. That would mean leaving a product like Longz alone.
