Zhen Gongfu is a male enhancement pill that comes to us from China. Even on the box, all the writing is in Chinese. It also features a naked couple engaged in sexual activity, and that picture pretty much speaks the universal language. It’s a fast acting pill that claims to be the all natural alternative to Viagra. They say it works fast (in as little as 15 minutes) and lasts a very long time (as long as 120 hours).
According to the product description, Zhen Gongfu is the most popular enhancement pill in China. It increases sperm production, allowing you multiple orgasms. It also helps you regenerate more quickly after ejaculation, so you are ready to go again in minutes.
There is no official Zhen Gongfu website, but with several retailers offering the product, we were able to track down all the information we need to break this down and figure out whether or not it works.
Honestly, the Zhen Gongfu formula is unlike any we’ve ever seen. Instead of a long list of familiar herbs, it talks about nucleotide acids and ginseng glucosides. We did find an actually ingredient list, however, and it is:

Fruit of the Chinese Wolfberry
Epimedium Leaf

There’s not much there when it comes to ingredients known to affect sexual performance. There’s Ginseng which is good for energy and blood flow. And there’s Epimedium which is good for libido and blood flow. Beyond that, I don’t know what the ingredients are meant to do, and there is no helpful explanation provided by the manufacturer.
The recommended dose is 1 Zhen Gongfu capsule about 15 minutes before sexual activity. They say it goes right to work and that the effects can last up to 120 hours.
There is no Zhen Gongfu website that we found, but it’s available online. Prices vary a little, but we found 16 pills on Amazon for under $10. There is no money back guarantee that I’m aware of.
Update! Zhen Gong Fu Contains Hidden Ingredient
One of my readers pointed out that the FDA had issued a warning back in June of 2014 that this product contains sildenafil, which is the active ingredient in Viagra.
I’m a bit embarrassed that I didn’t notice this until now, but looking back at some of the reviews I can see why.
The addition of Sildenafil can be VERY dangerous for some guys. Sildenafil causes a process called Vasodilation, or widening of the blood vessels.
This widening of a blood vessels is directly responsible for giving you an erection. However, at the same time it can cause your blood pressure to drop.
If you are already taking medications to control blood pressure, it may cause it to drop to unsafe levels.
This is not the first time I’ve seen this. As a matter of fact, there’s been dozens of supplements over the years that have been found to have sildenafil in them.
There’s not much I like about the Zhen Gongfu ingredient list. But that could just be because I’m not familiar with most of its components. On the other hand, it’s cheap enough that if you’re interested, it’s not that much of a risk to give it a try.
With that being said, you should never jump into trying a new supplement without first checking to make sure that it does not negatively interact with any medications or supplements that you are already taking, as well as that you are not allergic to it.
It may not have the highest potential for being the one for you, but it is a safe enough bet that giving it a try is not a big risk.

Every once in awhile though I see a fat burner / weight loss product that catches my eye, and I get this nagging suspicion that I need to try it out. In today’s review I’m going to be talking about Bystrictin, a relative newcomer to the weight loss supplement market. You may have heard the radio ads or even seen them featured in media publications like Cosmopolitan, Glamour magazine, and others. What Is Bystrictin?
Bystrictin is a protein powder that’s manufactured by a company called Century Sciences located in Encino, California. It’s intended as a meal replacement formula, and apparently has been scientifically formulated for weight management. Now, almost all protein powders act as a meal replacement, so what makes Bystrictin any different. I decided to dive into the ingredients head first and see what the fuss is all about.
Ingredients in Bystrictin
There are literally dozens of ingredients in Bystrictin, but I’m only going to talk about the noteworthy ones here and how they stand apart in this formula. Click here to see the Bystrictin nutrition label and here to see a full list of the ingredients.
Protein
Bystricin offers up 3 different types of protein, including soy protein isolate, when protein concentrate, and whey protein isolate. Soy protein is beneficial because it helps to not only reduce LDL cholesterol, but also reduce the risk of heart disease and even osteoporosis.
Whey protein concentrate typically have a low level of fat and cholesterol, but Isolates counteract that because they are processed to remove the fat and lactose.
Bariaxin Complex
Bariaxin is actually a proprietary complex that acts to help fill the gastric system, which essentially is fiber from what I can tell. The key actives in Bariaxin are Propolmannan, which is a supercharged and purified version of Glucomannan (a water-soluble fiber) and Slendesta (Proteinase Inhibitor) that helps the release of the CCK hormone (hunger hormone). The other ingredients in the Bariaxin complex are water soluble fibers.
Luralean Propolmannan
This ingredient is basically another source of Fiber in Bystrictin, and comes from the rare plant “Amorphophallus Japonica”, which is typically found in Japan. It works by absorbing water and expanding in the stomach to make you feel full faster. It also helps to control blood glucose levels buy slowing the rapid emptying of food from your stomach, which causes you to feel tired after you eat.
How To Take Bystrictin
According to the instructions, Bystrictin should be taken 1 – 2 times a day as a meal replacement shake. The ideal shake consists of 1 scoop of Bystrictin along with either 8 fl. oz. of water or skim milk, and should be consumed within 15 minutes of mixing.
The company actually offers a wide array of interesting recipes that can be used with the protein powder, including some of the following:

Sometimes, mixing a protein supplement with a blender can be a real chore. There’s the hassle of taking it out of the closet, putting it together, adding all the ingredients, then finally having to clean up a huge mess when it’s all done. What’s great about Bystrictin is they actually included a mixing cup with the powder, which just involves pouring in your skim milk (or water), adding a scoop, tightening the lid, and shake around for a minute or so.
For those that have used protein / meal replacement shakes before, you know stirring with a spoon (or even shaking in a mixing cup) often leaves protein “bunched up” at the bottom of the cup. Very intelligently, the makers of this supplement have included a metallic dome shaped piece that you can drop in the cup and it will literally break apart the stubborn protein that is sticking to the bottom or “bunching up”.
Bystrictin Reviews I’ve Been Reading
After scouring through countless threads/discussions on Bystrictin, I noticed the reviews and testimonials seem mixed. In some cases users saw a significant weight loss and hunger reduction, and in others people said they got no results from it. My nagging suspicion is that the majority of these reviews came from adults who probably have a MUCH higher caloric intake requirement than is suggested on the label (says eat at least 1,200 calories a day, which is literally the bare minimum for most people.
I think to get the best value from Bystrictin you should calculate how many calories you need per day, and reduce your overall caloric intake by 300 – 500 calories per day. My Overall Results
Now, I’m not overweight by any stretch of the imagination. I’ve been a pretty active guy for most of my life, playing a wide range of sports and usually eat pretty healthy. I’m a big proponent of diet and exercise, but of course I also recommend supplements to help you achieve your goals faster.
I started taking the Bystrictin right after my workouts as a post workout shake, something that I do normally. Now, like I mentioned earlier in the review, almost all protein powders act as a meal replacement formula. The difference between this one and the one I normally use (Gold Standard Whey) was that I did NOT feel hungry for hours afterwards.
Typically, as with Gold Standard, I feel “satisfied” for about an hour after I drink it, but like clockwork I am craving something else to eat about an hour later. Not with Bystrictin. I literally had to force myself to eat about 2.5 hours later, and even then I still didn’t eat as much as I normally do.
Another thing to note was the taste, it was absolutely awesome! I’ve tried literally dozens of protein powders / weight loss drinks over the years, and the majority of them leave you with a nasty aftertaste. I was a little worried at first that I would get the same aftertaste with Bystrictin, but it was actually a very pleasant one. It literally (to me at least) tastes like real chocolate, not some synthetic kind.
Now, of course with any supplement there is almost always a downside, and this of course was the case with me. The only side effect I have to complain about with Bystrictin was I had a gassy/bloated feeling for the first few days of using it. This is very common with protein powders, but in my case it was more so with this one in particular. Other than that I had no other side effects to report of.

The first video appears legit, right?? Well, I did some digging around on a site called Fiverr (it’s where people hire people to do stuff for $5, hence the name “Fiverr”, and looky what I found here:
That’s right guys….he’s a paid actor. He go’s by the name of Banjoman15, and according to his gig details he does authentic “testimonials” or male enhancement products for as little as $10. He’s apparently pretty busy as well, with over 4,000 sales to date.
The second guy says he saw increases of 2 inches after just a few weeks, but, if you look at his eyes, doesn’t it look like he’s reading from a cue card?? In fact, in the whole review he doesn’t even look directly into the camera once. Looks very suspicious to me…I couldn’t find this guy on Fiverr, but I am willing to bet he was paid somehow.
The reviews on Amazon looked equally suspicious to me as well. If you look through most of them, often the person leaving the review has ONLY left a review of BoostUltimate, and absolutely nothing else. I find it hard to believe that someone would go through the effort of publicly mentioning how well a male enhancement supplement worked for them on an open forum, but again that’s just me. 🙂

We know from years of experience that a good diet and exercise is key to achieving this, but let’s face the facts…we’re lazy. We don’t want to workout (most of us anyway), we want to eat cheeseburgers and pizza, sit around on the couch or roam the internet all day, and basically do nothing.
You come across an ad on a social media site like Facebook or Twitter about some “shocking secret celebrities are using to build insane muscle”, and it sparks your curiosity…so you click the ad. Generally, it goes to a page that looks like this, which is strikingly similar in layout to Men’s Health and/or Men’s Fitness. It oozes trust and authority, and a staff reporter who goes by the name of “Bryan Stevens” has a pretty cool article on a couple of supplements he recently tested and got massive results from.
The article is packed with before and after photo’s of celebritys like Chris Hemsworth, Mel Gibson, The Rock, Hugh Jackman, and Gerard Butler (amongst others) and the results appear to be nothing short of amazing. We see one pic of a fat assed Gerard Butler in a before photo, followed sharply by a chiseled and ripped after photo. The fact that he is paid to lose weight and probably has a personal trainer and chef, that’s not really mentioned here. The editor of this article (Bryan Stevens) says that Mr. Butler used these two supplements to get the results you’re seeing right here.
The Supplements
So you start reading about these supplements and they intrigue you, but which supplements are we talking about here. Well, that really depends on the day your seeing it. One day it is a combo of Elite Test 360 and Ripped Muscle X, the next day it’s Hyper Fuel and Elevate GF, and so on and so forth. So, which supplement combo did he use?
Well, the truth is, these celebrities did NOT use some miracle supplement stack to get these perfect bodies. Despite that fact that this article looks extremely legit to the untrained eye, the simple fact is that it is an advertisement, not an article. Let me explain…
The Hook, Line, And Sinker
The hook in this case is the allure of a better body by using a couple of supplements, and for demonstration purposes, we will use the supplements Elite Test 360 and Ripped Muscle X. By combining Elite Test 360 and Ripped Muscle X (according to the article), you get a better body without lifting weights or exercising. It “hooks” you in because most guys want an easy solution to packing on lean muscle and getting the body of their dreams. Who Doesn’t!
The line in this case is really the “bait”, because, would you know it?, the companies that make these supplements are actually giving them away FREE! How nice of them!
But wait, there’s a catch….in order for you to get these “free” samples of these supplements, you need to put in your credit card information to pay for the shipping. It’s only $4.95 for each, what do you have to lose?! So you go ahead and gladly get your credit card out of your wallet and put in your shipping info.
After a few days you get your bottles in the mail and start taking them diligently, just like the article said. Then, in a couple of weeks you log onto your online billing statement or get your paper credit card statement and notice a couple of charges that you don’t remember making. They are in the amounts of $89 and $87.63, respectively. You decide to call your credit card company and find out what’s going on here…herein lies the sinker.
The Scam Revealed
You get in touch with a bank representative and ask what the charges were all about, and that’s when you find out the truth behind this supplement scam. This first charge (the $89 one) was from Elite Test 360, and the second (the $87.63 one) was from Ripped Muscle X. Furious, you argue with your banks representative saying that you didn’t authorize these charges, and he/she replies that when you ordered these products you agreed to their terms and conditions.
“What terms and conditions?” you may ask. Well, specifically the Elite Test 360 terms, which you can see here, and the Ripped Muscle X terms, which you can see here. You see, what you probably weren’t aware of is, when you entered your credit card info on their order page, you were agreeing to “try” these products for a duration of 14 days, and at the end of this “trial” period, the companies would charge you some exorbitant amount unless you cancelled before the trial was up.
What’s even worse is there are some guys out there that don’t actually check their credit card statements every month. So what’s the big deal about that? Well, not only are these companies putting you into a auto-rebill program, but they also put you into what’s called an auto-shipment program. If you guessed right, this means that if you haven’t cancelled, they will continue to charge your credit card every month, and continually send you the product, even if you don’t want it!
Who the hell takes the time to REALLY read the fine print when you are ordering something? Well, the makers of supplements like this bank on this fact, and use it to their advantage to “lure” the unsuspecting consumer into a costly “trial” of their product, knowing that you probably won’t read or see the terms and conditions.
They tell you to get in touch with the companies directly, and may even give you the customer support phone numbers for Elite Test 360 and Ripped Muscle X. You call these companies up and tell them that you didn’t agree to these charges and want a refund. Fat Chance of that happening!! Trust me on this one, you will get nowhere with them. They will go on and on about how you agreed to the charges when ordering, and that they were well within their legal rights of charging you.
If you are persistent enough, they will agree to lower the charge to half of what you originally paid, which is still a slap in the face but might be your only recourse.
What YOU Can Do To Fight Back!
First off, I want to ask you to “like” us on Facebook, +’1 me on Google Plus, and email it to your friends. The more people that know about this the better, and by you helping share this article you will be doing your friend/family member a favor by saving them the time, money, and hassle that you might be going through.
Second, there are a couple of tricks I have learned over the years that will help you “fight back” against these scams once and for all. The first thing you can do if you were scammed is when you call the companies up, threaten to call the Better Business Bureau (BBB) attorney general in your state. 9 times out of 10 the rep will put you on hold and then come back and say they will issue a full refund, which they ALWAYS follow through with. I have personally done this myself and it has worked countless times.
Another trick you can use if you haven’t already bough the product is to visit your local walmart or other retailer and buy a pre paid credit card in the amount of say $10. Then, if you go to the products website you can use that pre paid card, and when they try to charge it they will get nothing! This doesn’t work for all of these supplements though, because some of them use a trigger on their credit card transaction systems that prevent orders coming from pre paids. It’s worth a shot though!
The last thing you can do is contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. Most of the major credit card companies (Visa, Discover, etc.) are so freakin huge that they will reverse the charge without even thinking twice. However, with some of the smaller banks / credit card companies it might not be so easy, so do this at your own discretion.
The Bottom Line
These so called “free trials” will probably not be going away anytime soon, so the best thing you can do to protect yourself is simply don’t order the products. I have personally tried dozens of them, and I can tell you from experience that almost all of them don’t even work anyway. They are often packed with bogus ingredients that are really just fillers and have no impact on lean muscle growth or acting as fat burners.

That would indicate that the formula contains L-Arginine, Yohimbe, Epimedium, or some combination of these. It’s also a decent bet that you’d find one or more herbal aphrodisiacs, like Maca or Damiana, and some sort of energy booster like Ginseng. Of course, these are all guesses since Maxrize doesn’t wish to reveal that information.

You can purchase Maxrize through the Eden Pond website and there are a few third party retailers carrying it as well. The 60 count bottle, which is a one month supply sells for around $30 pretty much everywhere. It’s not uncommon to see it come with a money back guarantee.

I can’t really recommend a product when I don’t know what’s in it. For that reason, I recommend you not bother with Maxrize.

They call themselves “The Swiss Blue Pill”, and they are not afraid to go big on the promises. With all sorts of charts showing expected results, they say in a nutshell that by taking Vigram, you’ll see a marked improvement in:

Increased libido.
Sexual performance.
Staying power of your erections.
Recovery time needed.
It starts to work in 20-30 minutes, and the effects of each pill could last up to 7 days. These are the claims made on the official Vigram website. Now it’s our job to pick them apart and figure out if and how Vigram really works.

While the Vigram website provides all sorts of charts and graphs demonstrating expected results, ther’s nothing there about the formula or the ingredients that comprise it. We did find this information elsewhere, but since we didn’t get it from the horse’s mouth, we can’t be 100% certain of its validity:
L-Arginine, L-Citrulline, and Epimedium are all included to increase the flow of blood to the penis for better erections.
Schizandra Root supports the immune system for better overall health, and it improves circulation throughout the body.
Avena Sativa helps keep natural testosterone free and available for use by the body. This improves both desire and performance.
Ashwagandha boosts energy so you can stay in the game longer.
Instructions are to take two tablets about 30 minutes before planned sexual activity.
Vigram Pros and Cons
Advantages of Vigram
There’s no commitment. You only take Vigram as needed.

Disadvantages of Vigram
The over-exaggeration on the website is not backed up by the formula, which is fine, but nothing special.

Conclusion
I am certain you’ll find some benefit to using Vigram, but I don’t think there’s anything special about the product. So when I put that up against the hype and bold exaggerations on the website, I’d say you might as well steer clear of Vigram.
If you are on a fat loss diet and need a little bit of a boost, you might consider using one of the popular fat burner products on the market.
While there are a number of products that are marketed to help you lose weight, most fat burners are going to be slightly more powerful, often containing stimulatory ingredients to boost your metabolic rate, provide more energy, and ensure that you are combating the hunger that typically goes along with your diet plan.

LeanFire XT actually recently popped up on my radar, and I actually got a chance to test it out personally.
Made by the guys over at Force Factor, LeanFire XT is an “advanced thermovigilance formula” that’s comprised of ingredients that’s broken up into 3 blends:

Shred JYM is what’s known as a “thermogenic fat burner”, a fancy way of saying that it’s premise is to burn fat by increasing metabolism. It uses a combination of ingredients like Acetyl-L Carnitine, Green Tea Extract, Caffeine, and L-Tyrosine to help enhance fat loss and curb hunger.
One of it’s key ingredients is called Capsimax, which is made from the natural extract found in chili peppers. Also known as Capsicum, the ingredient has actually been shown likely effective at helping with pain from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, shingles, and nerve pain.
However, the real reason for its addition to Shred JYM is it’s fat burning properties.

Hydroxycut has been around since I was in middle school, and I’ve personally tested many of their supplements.
Back in the day, Hydroxycut used to contain Ephedrine, which worked GREAT.
However, in 2004 the FDA banned the sale of supplements containing ephedrine, and as a result the original Hydroxycut was pulled off the shelves. [8]
You can actually still get Ephedrine, but it’s not as easy as it once was. (I’ll get an article up explaining how at some point)
In an effort to bring back the fat burning power of the original, they came out with the “new and improved” Hydroxycut Pro Clinical.
After using both the original AND Pro Clinical versions, I can tell you from experience that this new formula may be new, BUT it’s certainly not improved.

I have to be honest, many of these ingredients left me scratching my head when I first saw them.
Apart from caffeine and coffee extract, I had never seen any of them in any fat burners or weight loss pills.
I did a little research, and found that Maqui is a berry that has been used to help with weight loss, diabetes, heart disease, and fatigue. (Source)
Amla extract, which is also sometimes known as Indian Gooseberry, is used to help with a variety of conditions.
Unlike most of the other fat burners on this page, the addition of alpha lipoic acid makes Hydroxycut Black stand out from the rest.
One study comparing the results of Alpha Lipoic Acid use to a placebo showed significant short-term weight loss benefits. [9]
I’m not gonna sugar coat it, 200 mg of caffeine is a lot. It’s not enough to make it toxic, but it sure can get your heart racing and product plenty of unwanted side effects.
However, it’s well within the normally adjusted “safe” range. [10]
As is the same for many of these supplements, they caution that you should start off with a low dose to assess your tolerance.
For the first 3 days, it’s recommended that you take 1 capsule first thing in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
Once you’ve seen how your body reacts to it, you can up the dose to 2 capsules twice a day.
I would even suggest that you take it a step further and just do 1 capsule the first couple of days.
This particular fat burner has a TON of stimulants in it, so it’s best to take it slow.
If you are sensitive to the effects of stimulants or are unfamiliar with them then will likely have more pronounced effects, but keep an eye out to make sure you are not overdoing it at the risk of side effects.
You can find Hydroxycut Black available at GNC for $35, making it $15 more expensive then the original pro clinical.
According to the reviews, however, it seems like it’s worth the investment.
Initially, I was a bit hesitant to add this particular fat burner to the list. Don’t get me wrong, it works.
The problem is that it may work a bit “too well”.
Lipo 6 Black Ultra Concentrate is VERY heavy on stimulants, so if you don’t tolerate caffeine / stimulants very well this may not be the right choice for you.
For example, 4 of it’s key ingredients include Caffeine, Theobromine, Synephrine, and Yohimbe.
Each of these ON THEIR OWN are powerful stimulants, but when combined will send your energy levels through the roof.
If you decide to get Lipo 6 Black concentrate, you may want to consider stacking it with a substance called Phenibut. Phenibut is an anti anxiety compound the stacks well with stimulants because it doesn’t affect coordination or cognitive function negatively. [11]
