Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout Review

Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout Overview

The focus of Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout is clearly on increased blood flow for better muscle pumps. There are no stimulants to make you jittery or cause you to crash in a couple hours. Just a strong and complete focus on the pump side of things. That’s the focus. Now let’s dig down and see if Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout succeeds at achieving that goal.

Betancourt Nutrition Pump'd Pre Workout ReviewBetancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout Ingredients and How They Work

Most nitric oxide boosting pre workout supplements use L-Arginine as their primary NO boosting ingredient. This is not the case with Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout. They cite several studies indicating that L-Arginine supplementation might not be the best way to go afterall. For that reason, Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout uses other ingredients to get that job done:

  • Hydromax which supports cell growth and promotes nutrient delivery.
  • Agmapure which promotes nitric oxide by inhibiting the process of its breakdown. It includes Agmatine Sulfate.
  • Endoginine N-Carbamylglutamate which increases your body’s own L-Arginine synthesis process and L-Norvaline which inhibits L-Arginine breakdown so more of it can and does convert into nitric oxide.
  • Beet Root which contains nitrate which converts to nitric acid.
  • The formula also includes BCAAs (or Branched Chain Amino Acids) which improve your post workout recovery.

It is suggested that you start with 1 scoop of Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout with water about 20 minutes before you work out. You can use up to 2 scoops on training days once you build up your tolerance, and it’s recommended that you use 1 scoop even on non-workout days.

Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout Pros and Cons

Advantages of Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout

  • It doesn’t contain stimulants so it’s suitable for someone who doesn’t want or can’t have stimulants.
  • The formula places a strong focus on muscle pumps.
  • It comes in Citrus Punch and Strawberry Kiwi.

Disadvantages of Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout

  • Some guys want stimulants to get them going.
  • Several Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout reviews state that it doesn’t really do anything.
  • It’s not the cheapest pre workout around.

Where to Buy

You can find Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout for sale online through a few different outlets. The Betancourt Nutrition website sell 30 servings for $65, but you can get the same tub for $32.50 at Bodybuilding.com

Conclusion

If you don’t want stimulants but you still want a strong, nitric oxide focused pre workout for the pumps you’ll get, give Betancourt Nutrition Pump’d Pre Workout a try. Make sure you shop around, though. The price variation is wide.

Force Factor BRX Review – Should You Use It?

Force Factor BRX Overview

Force Factor BRX presents itself as the no-nonsense, down to business pre workout powder that has everything you need, and nothing else. No fillers, no added sugars, no unnecessary ingredients at all. Just the good stuff you need to perform better at the gym so you get better results. Nothing more, nothing less.

The long form of the name is “Body Rush X” and what you can expect from taking it is long lasting energy and focus, great pumps, and increased muscle strength and endurance so you’re working out both harder and longer. And this is how you get the kinds of results you want.

My Personal Results

Personally speaking, I think BRX is a decent pre workout supplement.

It only contains 100 mg of caffeine per scoop, and the label says you should take 2 scoops about 30 min. before working out.

I could feel it kick in after about 45 min., but it was nothing “crazy” feeling.  Just a bit of a boost and motivation for my workout.

For some reason the label also says you should take BRX pre workout on rest days.  I figured maybe it could help as a nootropic supplement, maybe giving me some extra motivation to get work done.

In my opinoin, if anything it provides more energy and motivation to do physical stuff, and doesn’t seem to help with focusing / concentrating on mental work.

The taste, I’m NOT a big fan.  I got the Blue Raz flavor (which I think is the only flavor), and it left a pretty bitter aftertaste.

I prefer pre workout supplements with watermelon, lemon, or strawberry flavors, but to each his own.

brx pre workout reviewForce Factor BRX Ingredients and How They Work

True to their advertising, there aren’t a lot of different ingredients in Force Factor BRX. There’s:

  • A B-Vitamin complex made up of Thiamine, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12. This provides a degree of energy to get you moving.
  • Creatine to increase muscle strength so you can push more weight while you’re working out.
  • Beta Alanine to increase muscle endurance by reducing the buildup of lactic acid which causes muscle fatigue.
  • N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine for increased muscle pumps
  • Vinpocetine and Huperzine A to increase focus and concentration.
  • Caffeine for an energy boost.

The recommended dose is 1 Force Factor BRX scoop mixed with water a few minutes before working out. The Force Factor BRX formula is concentrated so the provided serving-size scoop is smaller than it is for most pre workout powders.

Force Factor BRX Pros and Cons

Advantages of Force Factor BRX

  • It doesn’t contain lots of fillers.
  • There are plenty of favorable Force Factor BRX reviews from customers who’ve used it.
  • It’s cheap.

Disadvantages of Force Factor BRX

  • Lots of Force Factor BRX reviews portray it as “so-so”. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
  • You may have to use more than one serving at a time to get the effect you’re after.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Force Factor BRX online. At the Force Factor website, the 40 serving tub costs $40, but if you look around, you can get it for as little as $10.99. That’s a huge difference so make sure you shop around.

Conclusion

If you can get Force Factor BRX for the low price of $10.99, I would definitely say go for it. I would, however, question whether or not it’s worth $40. It’s a decent pre workout if you don’t want a bunch of stimulants and additives, but it’s not the best thing out there.

Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll Review – Does It Work?

Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll Overview

Pro Supps makes several pre workout formulas. They’ve got one called Hyde, which is said to bring out the animal side of anyone. The one we’re looking at today is called Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll. This one is said to provide everything you want in a pre workout, but without turning you into your “evil alter ego.” With Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll, you’ll see energy, pumps, strength, and endurance, but on a more “human” level than what you get with their Hyde product.

Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll ReviewPro Supps Dr. Jekyll Ingredients and How They Work

The Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll formula is broken down into 5 complexes to get the job done:

  • The Endurance Complex uses Beta Alanine and L-Histidine Monohydrochloride to increase muscle endurance by hindering the buildup of lactic acid which causes muscle fatigue.
  • The Amino Matrix uses primarily L-Leucine to ensure smooth post workout muscle recovery.
  • The Strength Matrix contains Creatine Hydrochloride to provide added muscle energy and strength, allowing you to push more weight and get more results.
  • The Energy & Focus Matrix includes Caffeine and Pikatropin. The 100mg of caffeine provides energy without going overboard and the Pikatropin enhances focus and cognitive ability.
  • The Pump Matrix includes L-Citrulline Malate, Agmatine Sulfage, and L-Norvaline to increase the presence of nitric oxide, allowing for more blood to flow to your muscles. This means better oxygen and nutrient delivery and better pumps.

The recommended dose is 1 scoop mixed with water about half an hour before your workout. You can up that to as much as 2 scoops if that’s what works best for you.

Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll Pros and Cons

Advantages of Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll

  • It’s got caffeine, but not too much, so there’s energy, but not jitters.
  • There are tons of positive Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll reviews, with most talking about clean energy and post workout recovery.
  • It’s a very well-rounded formula with nitric oxide boosters, amino acids, and creatine.
  • There are plenty of flavors, and most reviews say they taste great and mix well.

Disadvantages of Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll

  • For guys who need lots of stimulants, Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll may not be enough.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll online. The 30 serving tub, which should take you through 30 workouts if you use just one scoop, sells for about $30.

Conclusion

There’s a lot to like about Pro Supps Dr. Jekyll, and most customer reviews I’ve seen tend to agree. If you’re good with some stimulant, but not too much, this is a good choice. The taste is good, the energy and focus are strong, and the pumps are plenty.

Amphetarol Review – Does It Really Work?

Millions of college students around the country will do whatever it takes to get an edge in the classroom.  Many often turn to medications for ADHD, often obtained without a prescription from someone who has one.  However, what if there was an all natural supplement that mimicked the effects of adderall and was freely available over the counter, and gave you the EXACT same effects as those drugs did?

Well Amphetarol, an all natural nootropic supplement we recently had a chance to test out, promises just that.  I came across it when I was doing my research on some of the latest Nootropics on the market, and was intrigued by what I was reading.  But, does this supplement really work the way they say it does, or is it just full of hype.  We set out to learn everything about this supplement to help you make an informed decision.

Click Here to jump to my personal results.

What is Amphetarol?

amphetarol reviewMarketed and sold by a company called Gentech, Amphetarol is a dietary supplement that was apparently designed to help increase mental focus, improve memory and cognition, as well as help with alertness and concentration.  It does this through a proprietary blend of ingredients, which are:  dimethylaminoethanol, 1 3 7-trimethylxanthine, beta-phenylethylamine, L-Theanine, cytidine 5′-diphosphocholine, synephrine hcl, n n-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenylethylamine, schizandrol a, and Vinpocetine.

Without going into a ridiculously lengthy (and boring) discussion about each one of these ingredients, I’ll provide a quick snapshot of what they are and what they’re supposed to do:

Dimethylaminoethanol – Effectually known as DMAE, this ingredient is a primary alcohol whos effects have been clinically studied to have the potential to increase vigilance and alertness, along with a positive influence in mood. (1)

1 3 7-trimethylxanthine – Caffeine…literally, that’s it.  It’s caffeine, and it is not reported how much is in one pill (although I would guess not very much).

L-Theanine – Theanine has been studied for it’s ability to potentially reduce stress by inducing a relaxing effect without making you drowsy.  However, there really isn’t enough data at this point to support those claims. (2)

Cytidine 5′-diphosphocholine – Otherwise known as Citicoline, this ingredient has been shown in preliminary research to help prevent memory impairment, as well as improve memory and mental energy. (3)

Synephrine hcl – Bitter orange as it’s commonly known, this extract has been advertised to help treat a wide variety of ailments, including weight loss, anxiety, and even allergies.  There is very little evidence to suggest, however, that it can help increase mental cognition or focus. (4)

n n-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenylethylamine – Also known as Hordenine, this compound has been used by bodybuilders as a weight loss supplement because of its central nervous system stimulant properties. (4)

Schizandrol a – Derived from an ancient chinese medicinal herb called Schisandra, schizandrol a has been shown in one clinical study involving rats to cause significant elevations of dopamine with a 50 mg dose. (5)

Vinpocetine – There is some evidence to suggest that Vinpocetine “may” have a small effect on the decline of thinking skills due to various causes, the evidence is still insufficient.

You can click here if you’d like to see a photo of the label.

So Does Amphetarol Really Work?

Well, from my experience, no.  Before I continue, I think I should give you a little background of the types of nootropic supplements.  Some of these supplements are designed to work right away (think like 30 – 45 min.) and some are designed to be taken over a period of time (like 2 – 4 weeks) before they reach their intended effect.  Amphetarol is advertised as both a “fast acting” as well as a long term supplement, and they do mention that it can take 3 or more months to see the best results.  For the purposes of this review, I tried this supplement for 2 weeks to assess its fast acting properties.

I took it exactly as described in the directions (which calls for 1 capsule daily), and waited for it to kick in.  Being that it contains caffeine, I expected at the VERY least I would get a gentle but noticeable increase in energy, but apparently it doesn’t contain too much of the stuff because I didn’t feel anything.   There was no eye-opening clarity, no sudden burst of focus or concentration, and certainly didn’t help with memory recall from what I could tell.

Is it safe?

Unlike many other nootropic supplements, Amphetarol does contain a number of stimulants that may cause side effects including increased anxiety and irritation.  My suggestion would be that you take on a full stomach, first thing in the morning to lessen the effects and to assess your individual tolerance.

To help lessen these side effects you could also consider combining it with a stress relieving supplement like phenibut.  Phenibut works similar to a benzodiazapene, but is completely legal and doesn’t require a prescription.

Is it Amphetarol or AdderRx?

One thing that REALLY caught my eye which I didn’t notice before was the label.  If you look REALLY closely, you’ll see that the Ampheterol label was actually placed over a label of a different product called AddeRx.  Check out this video below to see what I’m talking about:

I have NO IDEA why they would have done this, but my guess is that maybe because the name was “similar” sounding to Adderall, that the makers might have been a bit jumpy about the potential for a lawsuit over the name.  Either way, from what I can tell Amphetarol and AdderRx are EXACTLY the same product, with exactly the same ingredients.

Recommendation

I’m not sure where all these rave reviews of Amphetarol came from on Amazon…my suspicion is that the reviewers were either a.) paid by the company to endorse it, b.) taking a different dose, perhaps more then 1 capsule, or c.) they got a really good batch that I unfortunately didn’t get.

I would be lying to you if my gut feeling didn’t tell me that I think the reviewers were paid, but of course there really isn’t any way for me to prove that.  From my overall experience, I’d have to say that it doesn’t actually work as well as they say it does.  However, just like every other supplement we’ve tested on the market, individual results WILL vary.

That said, I think there are a number of alternatives on the market that would better suit most people.

Pro Supps Hyde V2 Overview

They say it’s formulated to be the most extreme and effective pre workout on the market. MuscleTech Nano Vapor Review – Does It Really Work?

MuscleTech Nano Vapor Overview

If it seems like supplement makers are always coming out with new and better ways to get you pumped and ready for your workout, it’s because they are. They have to. The competition is so steep and the market is so hungry, they have no choice but to keep trying to outdo each other in the race to come up with the ultimate pre workout supplement.

MuscleTech Nano Vapor is the contender we’re focusing on today. They say it’s the one you need if you want superior muscle pumps and crazy gains in strength. And their edge is in their high, clinically studied doses of key ingredients. So let’s dive right in and see what those ingredients are.

MuscleTech Nano Vapor ReviewMuscleTech Nano Vapor Ingredients and How They Work

Once you build up to the max dose of 3 MuscleTech Nano Vapor scoops, you’ll be taking in:

  • 8g of L-Citrulline Malate
  • 200mg of Quercetin
  • 3.2g of Beta Alanine
  • 5g of Creatine

These are not your typical “just enough to say it’s in there” doses. These are clinically studied amounts of powerful ingredients. The L-Citrulline Malate increases strength and pumps. The Quercetin boosts nitric oxide levels also for better pumps and recovery. They Beta Alanine reduces the build up of lactic acid so you can push your muscles for a longer period of time before getting fatigued. The Creatine gives your muscles the power to push harder with every rep.

There’s also Caffeine and Yohimbe for the energy and focus you want to get and keep you motivated.

It’s recommended that you start out with 1 scoop to assess your tolerance. Then you can slowly build to 2 and then 3 scoops if that’s what you need.

MuscleTech Nano Vapor Pros and Cons

Advantages of MuscleTech Nano Vapor

  • There are lots of favorable MuscleTech Nano Vapor reviews from customers, most focusing on the energy and pump.
  • The formula uses the mechanism of full dosing to provide full benefits.
  • It comes in 3 flavors: Blue Raspberry, Fruit Punch, and Sour Apple.
  • Full ingredient information is disclosed.

Disadvantages of MuscleTech Nano Vapor

  • There are some who say the taste is pretty awful.
  • If you take 3 scoops per serving, MuscleTech Nano Vapor can get pretty expensive.

Where to Buy

You can find MuscleTech Nano Vapor almost anywhere. There are tons of online sources, and it’s also carried at GNC. The 40 serving tub sells for anywhere from $37 to $45, so you may want to shop around.

Conclusion

The formula is solid and the reviews are for the most part favorable. You’ll want to make sure you start off easy, though, since the stimulants in MuscleTech Nano Vapor can be pretty intense.

Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout Review – Does It Work?

Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout Overview

I know plenty of guys who’ve never bought the same pre workout twice. This demonstrates a bunch of things: the market is saturated with tons of options, everybody’s different and responds differently to products, and the perfect, one-size-fits-all pre workout supplement has not yet been created. But as long as supp companies keep making new stuff, we will keep trying it.

Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout presents itself as a different kind of pre workout powder. It goes for extreme vasodilation, amplified cellular efficiency, buffered acidosis, and intense hydration, all leading to significantly greater endurance for your most grueling workouts. The idea is that unlike other stimulant-focus pre workouts, Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout achieves true vasodilation and delivers all of its benefits.

Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout ReviewPurus Labs Condense Pre Workout Ingredients and How They Work

The ingredient profile for Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout is not typical. Let’s break it down here:

  • Nitratene which is trademarked form of inorganic nitrate. It leads to increased nitric oxide in a more sustained way, which allows for long lasting fatigue delay as your muscles are continuously receiving the oxygen and nutrients they need to push on.
  • Beta Alanine which blunts the production of lactic acid in the muscles, allowing your more time before you feel the fatigue.
  • 1,3,7-Trimethylxanthine is a form of caffeine that provides energy and focus for more intense workouts.
  • Electrolytes (Sodium, Potassium, and Chloride) to maintain the correct balance of charges and hydration in your cells.

Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout Pros and Cons

Advantages of Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout

  • It takes a somewhat new approach to pre workout powders.
  • There are lots of Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout reviews where the user got great results.

Disadvantages of Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout

  • Lots of reviewers say the taste is just not good, especially the crisp apple.
  • You’ll also find reviews where customers say it just doesn’t work beyond the 200mg of caffeine.

Where To Buy

You can purchase Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout mainly online. The cost for the 40 serving tub is about $25-$30 depending on where you look. It comes in 3 flavors: Crisp Apple, Island Punch, and Melonberry Cooler.

Conclusion

If you’re the kind of guy who goes from pre workout to pre workout to pre workout, one after the other, then Purus Labs Condense Pre Workout should be on your list. Since it works a little differently than most options, it’s worth checking out. My gut tells me, though, that it’s not quite as revolutionary as Purus Labs wants us to think.

S-500 Testosterone Booster Review – Does It Work?

S-500 Testosterone Booster Overview

You probably already know that as you get older, starting at around 30, your body produces less and less of the crucial male hormone, testosterone. This is problematic in a number of ways. When you have less testosterone, it becomes harder to build muscle mass, easier to gain fat, you have less energy, you feel more frequent fatigut, and even your sex drive plummets. So it stands to reason that if you could get your levels back up, you would be more fit and just feel better in general.

S-500 Testosterone Booster is a natural testosterone booster that also doubles as a diet pill for men. By focusing on both raising T levels and burning fat, this product positions itself as a very effective weight loss aid for men. That’s the claim. Let’s take a closer look at the product and see if it might just be on to something.

S-500 Testosterone Booster ReviewS-500 Testosterone Booster Ingredients and How They Work

The S-500 Testosterone Booster formula is divided into 3 blends with 3 distinct purposes:

  • The Fat Burner Matrix with Guarana (a natural form of caffeine), Green Tea Leaf, Capsicum, Ginger, Rhodiola Root, and Coleus Forskohlii Leaf which stimulates fat breakdown.
  • The Testosterone Booster Matrix with Tribulus Terrestris, Tongkat Ali, Boron, and Fenugreek – all well known natural testosterone boosters.
  • The Nitric Oxide Matrix with L-Arginine to improve blood flow, which has a number of benefits in terms of both athletic and sexual performance.

Instructions are to take 2 capsules a day.

S-500 Testosterone Booster Pros and Cons

Advantages of S-500 Testosterone Booster

  • There are lots of S-500 Testosterone Booster reviews posted on Amazon and most of them are quite favorable.
  • It’s affordable.
  • The ingredients are all natural.
  • It approaches weight loss in a comprehensive manner.
  • There is a money back guarantee.

Disadvantages of S-500 Testosterone Booster

  • S-500 Testosterone Booster shouldn’t be used by women.

Where to Buy

You can purchase S-500 Testosterone Booster online through Amazon and a few other online retailers. The 60 capsule bottle (a one month supply) sells for $19.99 pretty much everywhere I looked.

Conclusion

S-500 Testosterone Booster kills a few birds with one stone. In some ways, this is good. If you’re looking to take off some weight and you suspect that low testosterone is contributing to your problem, a product like this is perfect. But if you need some more dedicated testosterone boosting support, you can probably do better with something a little more specific.

Extreme Edge Pre Workout Review – Does It Work?

Extreme Edge Pre Workout Overview

When choosing a pre workout formula, most guys want clean energy with no crash. There are other requirements too, no doubt, but clean energy with strong, smooth, lasting motivation is at the top of the list. That’s what Extreme Edge Pre Workout promises. It’s part of the Extreme Edge Stack from Bluebonnet Nutrition (including Carbo Load and Post Workout formulas) which was designed to skip all the additives and banned substances in favor of a more clean, natural product that does the job better than you would expect an honest product to do.

With Extreme Edge Pre Workout, you’ll get clean energy, solid pump, and clear focus, and you’ll be able to last longer and push harder at the gym for drastically better results.

Extreme Edge Pre Workout ReviewExtreme Edge Pre Workout Ingredients and How They Work

Extreme Edge Pre Workout relies on a few key, trusted components to get the job done. There’s:

  • CarnoSyn which is a well-studied form of Beta Alanine. It decreases the amount of lactic acid build up in your muscles, so they don’t get tired and fatigued as quickly. If you can go another set in the gym, your results will show it.
  • L-Taurine and L-Tyrosine are free form amino acids that help with protein synthesis and muscle recovery because if you can get back to the gym in full force sooner, you’ll see that in your results too.
  • Caffeine from natural sources so you’ve got the energy you need to get motivated and focuses through your entire workout. The level of caffeine in Extreme Edge Pre Workout is low enough so you’re not all jittery and you don’t end up with a crash half way through the day either.
  • L-Arginine to boost nitric oxide for better blood flow which means more efficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles when you’re working out.
  • Creatine to give your muscles the energy they need to push harder through your workout.
  • BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) including L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine, for improved post workout recovery.

The recommended dose is 1 scoop with water about 15-30 minutes before working out.

Extreme Edge Pre Workout Pros and Cons

Advantages of Extreme Edge Pre Workout

  • The ingredients are natural.
  • It’s cheap.
  • There are plenty of favorable Extreme Edge Pre Workout reviews from customers who’ve used it.

Disadvantages of Extreme Edge Pre Workout

  • Several reviewers say the taste is awful.
  • For some users, there’s not enough of a stimulant pop.

Where to Buy

You can find Extreme Edge Pre Workout for sale online. The 30 serving tub goes for anywhere between $17 and $20, which puts it at the low end of the price scale.

Conclusion

Usually, clean and natural doesn’t pair well with inexpensive. For instance, the price of organic vegetables is much higher than their counterparts. With Extreme Edge Pre Workout, this isn’t the case. If you’re moving toward a cleaner diet, and you need an affordable pre workout formula, give Extreme Edge Pre Workout a try.

How To Take Creatine – Your Complete Guide

How To Take Creatine – Your Complete Guide

You’ve done your research and have come to the decision that you’re going to take creatine. This very well documented supplement has been used for many years by bodybuilders and athletes alike, all who hope to improve their performance, increasing strength output and boosting endurance.

Creatine Strategy #2: The Single-Dose Strategy

Top Creatine Brands
Conclusion

how does creatine work

There’s no denying the fact that creatine works, but if you want to see the best results from it, you need to know how to use it.

There are a few different strategies for using this popular supplement, so let’s take a closer look at each of these, giving you all the information you need to know moving forward.

Strategy #1: The Loading Strategy

how to take creatineThe first strategy is the one that is more commonly applied and involves a short period of loading before you move into the maintenance phase. The goal here is to quickly saturate your creatine stores, which will be heavily depleted if you have been doing intense workouts previously without taking the supplement. This allows you to start feeling the difference and seeing results rapidly.

How To Load Creatine

For the loading phase, you are to take twenty grams of creatine daily for a five day period. It’s advised that you split this twenty gram dose up into four servings of five grams per serving.

It’s also important to note that this 20 gram dose is the average.  If you want to get specific based on your body weight, see the chart below:

creatine dose by body weight in grams - loading and maintenance

When you take these servings is up to you, however taking one before the workout and one again after the workout is a smart move.

It’s actually why supplements like C4 pre workout and others include a small dose of creatine in their supplement.

c4 pre workout contains 1 gram of creatine

Moving On To The Maintenance Phase

Then once the initial five day loading period is up, you will then move into a maintenance phase, where you take 2 to 3 grams per day from that point forward.

At this point, your body should have reached full saturation so there is no need to keep taking the 20 gram dosage – 2 or 3 grams should be enough to keep you saturated while you do your intense workout sessions.

creatine levels at the end of a loading phase
Source: Healthline.com

Note that two or three grams should be enough to keep most individuals at the point of saturation.

With that said, larger individuals may be better off pushing this up to the 5 gram mark.

They have more muscle mass to support, thus can store more creatine.

What are the pros and cons of this strategy?

Pros

The biggest pro is the fact you will start noticing results quicker. Within the five day period, you should already be noticing that your weight lifted is going up and you aren’t feeling as fatigued during the sessions you do.

In summary:

  • You’ll notice faster results
  • You’ll be able to lift heavier
  • You won’t feel as fatigued as usual

Cons

The con to this strategy however is that due to the very high 20 gram dose, many people will find they start to experience water retention and bloating to a more significant degree.

water retention from creatine

Some water retention and possibly bloating is common when you use creatine regardless of how much you are taking. (Source)

With that said, adding the loading period definitely makes it more noticeable.

If you are someone who is very concerned with aesthetics and doesn’t want to experience bloating, then this is not the strategy for you.

Likewise, some people may find that they begin to experience some muscle cramps with the loading phase in there.

muscle cramps from creatine

This is caused by creatines dehydrating properties, which can increase the bodies demand for water. (Source)

Of course, you can combat this by upping your water intake.

But some just don’t want to do that.

As a result, they choose to stay away from this and utilize the next strategy discussed instead.

In summary:

  • You’ll likely experience water retention and bloating
  • You may experience muscle cramps, although this is typically rare

Keep in mind that many higher quality creatine products are designed to minimize the bloating/water retention you experience, so depending on the particular brand you use, this may not be an issue anyway.

Strategy #2: The Single-Dose Strategy

This second strategy is the single dose strategy. This is going to be more ideal for those who aren’t in any rush to see maximum results immediately and who want to stay looking as lean as possible (not experience any water retention).

How To Do This Strategy

With this strategy, you simply take your two to five grams of creatine right from the start. So essentially, you skip loading and move straight into maintenance.

Here’s an example of what your dose would look like based on body weight:

creatine dose by weight - single dose strategy

Given enough time, you will reach a point of full saturation with this strategy as well, it’ll just take longer to do so.

Some people may also wish to use the middle ground, taking 10 grams of creatine for 10 days straight and then move into the loading period from there.  This will work as well and may help give you a bit of both worlds.

There’s a bunch of pre workout supplements that include a small amount of creatine into the mix, including ones like 4 Gauge pre workout.

4 gauge pre workout review
My preferred pre workout with creatine, 4 Gauge.

What are the pros and cons of this strategy?

Pros

  • You won’t experience bloating or water retention, or if you do, it will be dramatically less.

Cons

  • It will take longer to see the best results.

Some studies have actually concluded that it really doesn’t matter which strategy you use. (Source)

Pre Or Post Workout?

Another question that typically comes up is whether you should be taking your create pre or post workout. The answer is that all in all, it’s not going to matter all that much.

If you take it pre workout, you’ll prepare your body for the workout immediately ahead.

On the other hand, if you take it post workout, you’ll get your body ready at that point for the workout that’s coming your way next time.

What’s more important than the actual time you take your creatine is that you take it with some simple carbohydrates.

list of simple carbs to take pre workout with creatine

Note that I said some.

That does not mean you should house a 12 pack of donuts right before you’re gym routine. 🙂

As these simple carbohydrates spike blood glucose, this can help increase the uptake of the creatine into the muscle cells. (Source)

Because most trainees will be eating a higher carb meal immediately post workout (and not as often pre workout), this means that for many, post workout would be the time to take it.

If you eat simple carbs both before and after the session, then you have your pick between the two different time periods.

Remember that since creatine will cause the body to store additional water, it is a must that you increase your total water intake when you start using it.  This will help you avoid any muscle cramps or the bloating that may occur as mentioned above.

Should You Use Creatine On Non-Training Days?

Finally, you may be wondering whether you should take it on off days or not?

Since you will not be depleting your creatine stores to nearly the same degree on off days (since creatine is primarily depleted with intense muscle contractions), you generally will not need to supplement with it when you aren’t doing a hard workout session.

However, some individuals may choose to still take a small dose for extra support and to ensure they are always keeping their ‘tank’ full, so to speak.

full tank of creatine

I’ve personally noticed that, if I take creatine on my off days, I definitely feel way less sore than if I don’t.

After reading through various forums like Bodybuilding.com and Quora, the general consensus seems to be the same…

If you’re in the loading phase, don’t take creatine on your rest days.

If you’re using the single-dose strategy or are in the maintenance phase, do not take creatine on your off days.

As creatine is a relatively cost effective supplement, most people will do well taking it daily to assure it’s working optimally.

Top Creatine Brands

I’ve personally used probably about a dozen brands of creatine over the years.  In general, they all work very effectively.

Here’s some of the most popular brands I’ve personally tested:

Conclusion

So there you have your complete creatine usage guide. Depending on what’s most important to you and your own workout protocol, use this to help dictate how you choose to use this supplement.

Personally speaking, I like the single-dose strategy.

It eliminates the potential for bloating, and I just seem to get better results with it.

I also prefer to take creatine before a workout, which is why I like 4 Gauge pre workout so much (www.4Gauge.com).

It helps both to rev up your workout, AND prepares your body for the upcoming workout.

As I mentioned earlier, taking it pre or post workout isn’t a huge choice to make.

Just make sure you take it!

Finally, as for taking creatine on your off days, remember this will be dependent on whether or not you’re in the loading or maintenance phase.

You can do it either way, but I just noticed that avoiding creatine on the days you’ll be laying around on the couch works best if you’re already taking a huge dose of it.

As always, practice safety, exercise caution and listen to your body to see how each dose is affecting you personally and to make sure that you are not experiencing any ill side effects or interactions with any supplements or medications that you are currently taking.

As always if you have a more specific question concerning creatine you can always email us, we’re here to help!!

Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement Review

Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement Overview

One popular place to browse pre workout supplements is Amazon. There are tons and tons of them. Some are the same ones you can find in stores and on other retail websites. But some are pretty much found nowhere else except Amazon. One of these is called Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement. There are a few strange things you’ll find when you start looking into this product. The first one is that the listed name doesn’t match what’s on the bottle. The bottle says NO2 Power Pump while the listed name is Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement. Okay, well, that is indeed strange, but what matters most is how well this stuff works or doesn’t work, so we’ll focus on that.

Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement claims to take your workout to an entirely new level by reducing fatigue, speeding up recovery time, and destroying body fat. So next, we look at the ingredients to see if this stuff is likely to deliver.

Elite NO2 Nitroc Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement ReviewElite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement Ingredients and How They Work

Unfortunately, a complete ingredient list is not available. We get a few bits and pieces about how from the ad page, so we’ll put together all that we know. The one ingredient we know for sure is L-Argninine. This amino acid is a precursor to nitric oxide. Nitric Oxide is important because it’s a vasodilator. That means it opens up your blood vessels, allowing an increased amount of blood to flow through. More blood to your muscles means more oxygen and nutrients when they need them. And this means better pumps, more energy, and an easier recovery processes.

No other ingredient information can be found.

Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement Pros and Cons

Here’s where we try to lay out all the positive and negative aspects and come up with an assessment about whether or not Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement is worth your time and money.

Advantages of Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement

  • It’s cheap.
  • There’s a money back guarantee.
  • It comes in the form of a pill so it may be more convenient for some guys than a powder pre workout.

Disadvantages of Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement

  • There’s no ingredient information.
  • The name of the product in the description doesn’t match the name on the bottle, which doesn’t really promote trust or faith in the company.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement at Amazon. The 30 day supply costs $19.95 which puts it at the low end for pre workout supplements.

Conclusion

With confusing labeling and without an ingredient list, the only real reason to go with Elite NO2 Nitric Oxide and L-Arginine Supplement is because it’s cheap. But remember, you get what you pay for.

Hydro HIT Pre Workout Review – Does It Work?

Hydro HIT Pre Workout Overview

Not too long ago, Integrated Sports Nutrition released a new pre workout formula with a slightly new twist. It’s called Hydro HIT Pre Workout, and on top of the standard pre workout components, it includes electrolytes to make sure you stay well hydrated during your high intensity workout. You may think dehydration is only a problem for endurance athletes, but high intensity workout zap fluids as well. And that’s where Hydro HIT Pre Workout comes in.

Hydro HIT Pre Workout ReviewHydro HIT Pre Workout Ingredients and How They Work

The Hydro HIT Pre Workout is short and to the point. They chose to include only a few ingredients, and here’s how they work:

  • Creatine Monohydrate provides energy to your muscles. This is fast twitch muscle energy so when you’re lifting, you find more power and strength, making for vastly improved results. Creatine is the most tested bodybuilding supplement there is, and it simply works. Taking creatine lets you lift more and when you do, you build more muscle.
  • L-Arginine Alphaketoglutarate improves the effectiveness of creatine while increasing nitric oxide for better blood flow and better pumps.
  • Citrulline increases nitric oxide as well so you have more blood flowing to your muscles when you’re working out. That means more oxygen, more nutrients, more endurance, and quicker recovery.
  • Sodium and Potassium to keep you hydrated with balanced electrolytes.
  • Caffeine to provide a boost of energy, motivation, and focus.

The recommended dose is 1 scoop of Hydro HIT Pre Workout about halve an hour to 45 minutes before your workout. You’ll want to mix it into an 8 ounce glass or shaker of water.

Hydro HIT Pre Workout Pros and Cons

Advantages of Hydro HIT Pre Workout

  • It includes a focus on hydration, which more pre workouts don’t have.
  • You can get it for cheap.
  • It won’t get you over-amped.
  • The Hydro HIT Pre Workout reviews I’ve seen are mainly very positive.

Disadvantages of Hydro HIT Pre Workout

  • It only contains 75mg of caffeine per serving, which may not be enough of an energy boost for some guys.

Where to Buy

You can find Hydro HIT Pre Workout online through a few different retailers. At Amazon, a 30 serving tub goes for $15.

Conclusion

As long as you don’t require a pre workout loaded with stimulants, Hydro HIT Pre Workout looks like a good choice. You get creatine for muscle energy, electrolytes for hydration, nitric oxide boosters for energy and pumps, and just a bit of caffein to get you motivated.

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Review – Something Different?

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Overview

More and more these days, people are looking for clean, natural ingredients in the products they put in their bodies. And that even includes bodybuilders. It makes sense, really. Almost nobody knows more about what they put in their bodies than bodybuilders. And it stands to reason that with the renewed cultural focus on clean and natural products, bodybuilders would be a part of that.

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer is a natural, plant based pre workout product that covers all the clean eating bases. It contains no dairy, no soy, no gluten, along with no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeterners. That’s great and all, but clean is one thing, effective is another. What can Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer actually do for you?

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer ReviewVega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Ingredients and How They Work

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer approaches pre workout very differently than what you’re probably used to. For energy, it relies on two complementary carbohydrates, one is a more simple sugar that gives you energy immediately, while the other is more complex, allowing for energy for a longer, more sustained period of time. The Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer formula highlights include:

  • Brown Rice Syrup is the high glycemic carb for immediate energy.
  • Coconut Palm Nectar is the low glycemic carb for the slow, sustained energy release.
  • Green Tea provides caffeine for a more traditional pre workout energy, and it also provides antioxidant protection and L-Theanine to soothe anxiety.
  • Panax Ginseng is known to improve your capacity for physical work and performance.
  • Rhodiola delays the onset of fatigue so you can push yourself for longer.
  • Turmeric improves circulation for better oxygen and nutrient delivery to your muscles.
  • Kombucha increases endurance and contains active enzymes and amino acids for better recovery.
  • Yerba Mate provides energy and focus without jitters.
  • Ginger improves digestion.

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer comes in two flavors – Acai Berry and Lemon Lime. Instructions are to mix 1 scoop with water about half an hour before your workout.

Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer Pros and Cons

Advantages of Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer

  • It’s vegan-friendly, soy-free, and gluten-free.
  • Some Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer reviewers show very happy customers.
  • It does contain some caffeine for energy.

Disadvantages of Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer

  • There are plenty of reviewers saying that the taste is horrible.
  • It’s not going to amp you up like some pre workouts do.
  • The Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer are really very mixed. The consensus seems to be that it’s great that it’s vegan and such, and it works kind of well, but really doesn’t give you great results.
  • It’s a little on the expensive side.

Where to Buy

You can find Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer for sale online through several different outlets. The 30 serving tub sells for about $40.

Conclusion

There definitely need to be products like Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer around. They bridge the gap between hardcore bodybuilders and hardcore clean, plant-based health enthusiasts. And that makes sense because both groups care a ton about what they put into their bodies. In the end though, Vega Sport Pre Workout Energizer is probably not powerful enough to win over the hardcore lifting crowd.

Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout Review – Should You Use It?

Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout Overview

If you just want to take one workout supplement, it should probably be a pre workout. It helps with energy, motivation, focus, and pumps. And when you think about it, what’s more important to your success than actually getting to the gym and really killing at your workout? The thing about pre workouts though is that which one you choose is really a matter of personal preference. There are some basics you want covered, like energy and pumps, but how you get there and what other features you want can vary quite a bit.

Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout is pre workout powder with a focus on energy and stamina. It doesn’t contain creatine, but it instead uses Beta Alanine to keep your muscles working harder for longer, which is how you can push yourself to get more and bigger results. But there’s more that goes into Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout, so let’s take a look.

Volt Pre Workout ReviewNeon Sport Volt Pre Workout Ingredients and How They Work

Beta Alanine is the featured ingredient, and that’s because Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout uses double the amount that other pre workouts use. What Beta Alanine does is reduce the buildup of lactic acid in your muscles. You know that feeling you get in your muscle when you’ve just pushed it too far and it can’t give you anything more? That’s lactic acid. Beta Alanine delays its build up so you can push yourself longer. A side effect of Beta Alanine is a tingly, sometimes itchy feeling on your skin. Some people love it, some hate it. It’s one of those personal preference things. But know that you’re definitely going to feel it with Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout.

Other key components in this stuff include:

  • Agmatine Sulfate which is a by product of L-Arginine, and L-Citrulline, which both help produce nitric oxide for better blood flow to your muscles (better pumps).
  • Caffeine for energy, motivation, and focus.

Instructions are to take 1 scoop with water about half an hour before your workout. You can up the dose after a while if you feel you need more. Just limit it to no more than 3 scoops in any one 24 hour period.

Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout Pros and Cons

Advantages of Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout

  • It gets mainly good reviews.
  • It comes in Berry Pomegranate, Electric Punch, Lemon Berry, and Watermelon flavors, and by most accounts they taste pretty good.
  • It’s pretty affordable.

Disadvantages of Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout

  • Some guys just don’t like those beta alanine tingles.
  • Some Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout reviews indicate that the energy provided is pretty low.

Where to Buy

You can find Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout at GNC or online. The 36-serving tub sells for anywhere between $30 and $45, so shop around.

Conclusion

Neon Sport Volt Pre Workout as a pretty good reputation as a solid pre workout. If you like what beta alanine does for you, then this is definitely the stuff you want.

Six Star Pre Workout Ignition Review – Does It Work

Six Star Pre Workout Ignition Overview

Six Star Pre Workout Ignition is one of those “kitchen sink” pre workout formulas. By that we mean that it promises just about “everything but the kitchen sink.” Here’s the list. With Six Star Pre Workout Ignition, you’ll:

  • Have through the roof energy for intense training
  • Experience greater cellular energy in your muscles.
  • Achieve explosive muscle pumps through superior vasodilation.

But according to several Six Star Pre Workout Ignition reviews from customers, I’m not so sure if it delivers. Let’s take a look at the formula.

Six Star Pre Workout Ignition ReviewSix Star Pre Workout Ignition Ingredients and How They Work

Basically the entire formula is a proprietary blend they call the Pre-Workout Ignition Matrix. They don’t disclose amounts, but the components of the Six Star Pre Workout Ignition formula are:

  • Creatine which increases the cellular energy of muscles so you can push more weight harder and longer in your workouts. This is how you get bigger results, faster.
  • L-Arginine which increases nitric oxide, which increases the flow of blood to your muscles during workouts. This gives you more energy and means that more oxygen and nutrients are delivered to your muscles when they need it most.
  • Caffeine which provides energy and focus.
  • Beta Alanine which reduces the buildup of lactic acid in your muscles during workouts. That means your muscles won’t quit on you like they do when lactic acid build up causes them to stop pushing.
  • Schisandra Extract which increases focus.

The instructions ask that you test the waters carefully at first by taking just a 1-scoop serving to assess your tolerance. After that, you can use up to 3 scoops mixed with 12 ounces of water.

Six Star Pre Workout Ignition Pros and Cons

Advantages of Six Star Pre Workout Ignition

  • It’s inexpensive.
  • There are Six Star Pre Workout Ignition reviews from customers saying that it tastes good.
  • It’s a pretty comprehensive formula.

Disadvantages of Six Star Pre Workout Ignition

  • The majority of Six Star Pre Workout Ignition reviews are not very favorable. Most say that you have to use a lot just to feel anything. Even the positive reviews are only positive in light of the cheap price.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Six Star Pre Workout Ignition online and in stores like CVS and Walgreens. We’ve seen the 40 scoop tub selling for as little as $16 at Bodybuilding.com and as much as $22 at CVS. Either way, it’s pretty cheap.

Conclusion

There’s an old saying I’m sure you’re familiar with. “You get what you pay for.” Nine times out of ten it’s true, and this seems to be the case with Six Star Pre Workout Ignition. It’s cheap, and it doesn’t work very well.

VPX Redline White Heat Review – Does It Work?

VPX Redline White Heat Overview

Let’s face it. Sometimes, it’s just hard to drag yourself to the gym. And if you’re just not into it, even when you do finally get your ass there, how much benefit do you think you’re getting when you practically sleepwalk your way through the routine. If you want serious results, you need motivation, you need energy, and you need focus. Anything less, and you’re just wasting your time. That’s why finding the right pre workout supplement is so important.

One product that caught my eye not long ago is VPX Redline White Heat. They call it “The Ultimate Pre-Wrokout Amplifier” and from what I can tell, the name may just fit. It claims to provide intense energy combined with laser sharp focus so you’re dealing with the exact right combination for taking your workout to the next level. So okay, what’s exactly in this stuff?

Click Here to jump to my personal review.

VPX Redline White Heat Ingredients and How They Work

The thing to know about VPX Redline White Heat is that it’s pretty much all stimulants, including Caffeine, N-Methyl Tyramine, and 3 different kinds of Yohimbe. The caffeine comes in at a whopping 400 mg a scoop, while the rest of the amounts are proprietary. There’s really nothing for pumps. They recommend you stack VPX Redline White Heat with a non-stimulant pre workout containing some NO boosters and/or creatine if you’re looking for more than just the energy and motivation. But according to a whole lot of their customers, nobody does energy like VPX Redline White Heat.

The standard dose is 1 scoop with 8-10 ounces of water, but it’s highly recommended that you start with half a scoop to assess your tolerance before jumping right in with both feet.  Click Here for an image of the label.  VPX Redline also makes a number of other supplements, including Meltdown, NO Synthesize, and Clenbutrx.

VPX Redline White Heat Reviews

This stuff is getting some really positive feedback. The consensus is that as long as you can handle your stimulants, you’ll love VPX Redline White Heat:

“I got this in fruit punch and… just wow.I’m someone who drinks coffee all day, and in general pretty used to stimulants… I was on fire at the gym”

“This stuff is extremely powerful. More than anything I’ve tried.”

“I feel like the Incredible Hulk and feel like I could flip cars over. I get so focuses I add set after set to my workouts and never want to leave my gym.”

VPX Redline White Heat Pros and Cons

Advantages of VPX Redline White Heat

  • It gets great reviews.
  • It’s pretty affordable.
  • It comes in lots of flavors and by all accounts, the taste isn’t bad.

Disadvantages of VPX Redline White Heat

  • It gets you super amped which may not be for everyone.

My Results With White Heat

I’ve always been super cautious when taking anything with yohimbe in it, mainly because of the side effects (I’ll get to that later).  I got a 5.78 ounce tub of strawberry VPX Redline White Heat off of Bodybuilding.com for about $33.  I figured I would take it about 30 – 45 min. before a High Intentsity Interval Training (HIIT) workout I had planned later in the day.   Since I’m pretty sensitive to stimulants, and this contains like 2 – 3 VERY strong cups of coffee worth of caffeine in one scoop, I decided to just try a half scoop mixed in water.

vpx redline white heat reviewTo start, the taste was actually pretty good.  You could tell it was a synthetic type taste, but that’s typical with most pre workout powders.  There was no bitter or nasty aftertaste, that’s for sure.  It took just a few minutes before it started to kick in, but I could immediately tell it was going to amp me up.  About 20 minutes in, I grabbed my weight vest, box (for box jumps), and headed to a nearby basketball court where I do my HIIT routine.

When I got there I did my usual 5 min jog / stretch session and all of a sudden it was like, BOOM!  The energy just kicked in, BIG TIME.  Normally I’ll do a 20 – 30 minute routine that consists of burpees, box jumps, sprints, lunges, etc., but I pushed through to a full 35 min., or basically till I was pretty much completely wiped.  I did my cool down session and then I noticed something….GOOSEBUMPS…

Weird, right?  Well, living in south Florida, this was a “colder then average” day with a high temperature of around 60, so I kind of attributed it to that.  I got home, had my usual handful of lightly salted almonds and post workout protein shake, then took a shower.  Even with the water on very hot, I STILL had goosebumps.  They finally went away around the “scalding” temperature setting 🙂

When I got out I dried off and decided to lay down for like 20 min and watch some TV.  That’s when it really started to hit me…I started getting the goosebumps again, felt really cold, AND was starting to feel a bit nauseous.  I got under the blanket to warm up and 5 minutes later I was FREAKING sweating.  Took the blanket off, got the chills and goosebumps again…I was beginning to think I was coming down with something, but thought back to the day when I took Zyrexin (which also contains yohimbe).

I tried napping for like 20 min. but all I did was toss and turn every couple of minutes.  I was awake, alert, and felt like I had the flu…weirdest feeling ever.  This lasted for another few hours and then it finally started to wear off.  I had a hard time staying asleep that night, and must have woken up 3 or 4 times throughout the night.  The effects even seemed to linger into the next day.

I didn’t get that sick feeling, but I just felt like worn down or something.  I can’t even imagine what I would have felt like had I taken a full scoop.

Where to Buy

VPX Redline White Heat is available online through a few different retailers. The 40 serving tub sells for $30-$35.

Conclusion

This is some STRONG shit, let me tell you.  I drink coffee on a regular basis, but this stuff had me plowing through my workout with ease.  However, the side effects are not worth it in my opinion.  Some guys won’t get the same side effects i did, and some will get it worse then I did, it just depends on the individual.  I actually did a little digging and it looks like this stuff might be off the market sooner rather then later.  Why, you ask?

Well, it looks like a study conducted in October of this year found that VPX Redline White Heat (amongst other supplements in the same category) contain a compound called 1,3-dimethylbutylamine (DMBA).  In the latest research, DMBA was found to be structurally similar to DMAA and Ephedrine, both of which were recently banned from use in over the counter supplements.  DMBA is sort of like amphetamine, but not exactly like it...It will give you the same relative feeling, but probably wouldn’t cause you to pop a blood test.

Consumer reports did a write up on this, and even tried reaching out to VPX, who had no comment.  Retailers like GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, and others have already pulled White Heat off their shelves, and if the FDA gets wind of this I would expect it to be pulled completely off the market pretty soon.  So, if you like this stuff then I recommend you STOCK UP on it!

Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn Review – Does It Work?

Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn Overview

Have you found your favorite pre workout powder yet? If you’re like most guys, you’ll probably never be done experimenting with new products. They find one that’s good, but wait, there must be something better out there, right? I’m making fun, but there’s something to be said for not sticking with one product for too long. Your body gets used to it and develops a tolerance. You don’t want that, so you keep hopping around. I was looking at Bodybuilding.com the other day and something called Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn caught my eye.

Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn is a reworked version of an original product called White Flood. The new one claims to have added a new level of energy, pumps, and endurance, with benefits like:

  • Fast absorbing.
  • Increased strength and stamina.
  • Greater endurance.
  • Extreme pumps.
  • Better muscle recovery.
  • No carbs or creatine.
  • Stimulated neurons.

Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn ReviewControlled Labs White Flood Reborn Ingredients and How They Work

Lists of benefits are one thing, but what really matters is whether or not Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn gets the job done. One good way to tell is by looking at the ingredient profile, which in this case includes Vitamins and Minerals along with a couple of performance boosting complexes:

The Enduropump Complex is made up of:

  • L-Carnitine, L-Tartate, and L-Citrulline which all help stimulate the production of nitric oxide for increased vasodilation. Better blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients delivered to your muscles during workouts for more strength, endurance, and pumps.
  • Beta Alanine which decreases lactic acid buildup in your muscles so they can work harder for longer.

The Reborneuro Complex includes:

  • Caffeine for increased energy and focus.
  • Vinpocetine which is a neurotransmitter that improves communication within the brain so your focus and concentration are sharper and more in tune.

Instructions for Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn are to take it slow at first. They want you to start with just ½ a scoop to assess your tolerance. After that, the serving size is 1 scoop in a glass of water about 30 minutes before working out.

Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn Pros and Cons

Advantages of Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn

  • You can buy it online and in stores.
  • It’s carb-free.
  • It comes in several flavors (Juicy Watermelon, Furious Fruit Punch, Electric Lemonade, and White Pineapple).
  • There are lots of favorable Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn reviews, most commenting on how it tastes great and doesn’t cause jitters or crash.

Disadvantages of Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn

  • There are label warnings against taking more than one dose in a single day. This would usually indicate the presence of lots of stimulants, but this isn’t the case, so we have to wonder why so cautious.
  • Some reviewers say they preferred the old formula.

Where to Buy

You can purchase Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn online or in stores like GNC. The 60 serving tub sells for under $45 at Bodybuilding.com, but the 30 serving tub sells for $42 at GNC so make sure you shop around.

Conclusion

I don’t see anything that sets Controlled Labs White Flood Reborn apart from most of your other pre workout choices. On the other hand, there’s nothing wrong with it either. So use it if you get a great deal or if someone gives it to you, but I wouldn’t go searching high and low for it. It’s good, but not that good.
