That’s the case with Spartan Blend, or so they would have you believe. Spartan Blend is a daily herbal supplement for men that promises to bring you to peak performance both in the gym and the bedroom. This really isn’t such an unusual idea. The key component in both areas is testosterone, so let’s see what else is going on in Spartan Blend, and what it can do for you.

Spartan Blend Ingredients and How They Work

The Spartan Blend product website not only provides a list of all its ingredients, but it also gives a brief description of what they each do to improve your performance. Included in the list are:

Tongkat Ali which helps increase free testosterone.
Horny Goat Weed which improves blood flow to the penis for better erections.
Cnidium Monieri and Mucuna Pruriens which are both herbal aphrodisiacs for improving sex drive.
Guarana which contains caffeine for energy.
DHEA which rejuvenates sexual desire.

But sometimes there are so many that none really have a chance to stand out and make a difference. This may be the case here. But we may never know for sure, since there’s no way to make an actual purchase of Spartan Blend.

Best Supplement Stack For Muscle Gain

Muscle gain is an extremely complex process that is influenced by training frequency and intensity, as well as nutrition and a host of other biological functions. Designing a supplement stack for muscle gain, then, requires a consideration of each involved aspect. Ideally, you want a collection of supplements that will improve the quality of your workouts while making sure that you have a solid nutrient intake to allow for proper recovery.

To keep things orderly here, we’ll look at performance and recovery supplement stacks separately. You should understand, however, that both types of supplement will work together to encourage muscle gain.

All of the supplements on this list have been picked because they can be found at most stores and are relatively inexpensive.

Pre-Workouts

Before we look at the supplements that can be stacked to improve your workouts, it should also be mentioned that most commercial pre-workout supplements contain at least one stimulant. If you would like it, you can also include 200mg of caffeine in your pre-workout routine.

Creatine – While there are plenty of touted ergogenics (substances that increase strength and power) creatine is by far the most thoroughly researched and solid backed in its class. Creatine works by giving your body a ready source the cellular fuel called ATP and has very few side effects. Because it keeps your muscles readily fueled, daily creatine supplementation of 3g has been shown in repeated studies to increase muscular power and endurance.It is true, however, that creatine does not have an acute effect but is instead based on saturation. This means that you could technically take it whenever is convenient for you, you just before a workout. Including it in your pre-workout, however, usually makes your daily dose easy to remember.

Nitrate – While nitrate can be purchased under this obvious title, it can also be found in beetroot juice. In fact, it may be easier to find the juice than another form of this particular supplement. Once nitrate is converted into nitric oxide, which happens fairly quickly, it has been shown to increase endurance in long-duration aerobic workouts. The average dose is about 500mg.

Sodium bicarbonate – If this one sounds familiar, that’s because you probably already have it in your house; Its baking soda. This incredibly common substance can increase muscular endurance by preventing the dreaded “burn,” created when your muscles become overly acidic. Be warned, though: If you mix nitrate with sodium bicarbonate in the same drink, it can be slightly explosive.A dose of 200-300mg/kg of body weight taken 60-90 minutes before exercise is the usual recommendation. You should assess your tolerance, though, since baking soda can cause severe gastrointestinal distress. Also, since a large portion of it is made of sodium, people with hypertension should be careful when considering supplementation.

Recovery

Again, these supplements are intended to speed recovery and prevent muscle loss. Somewhat counter-intuitively, though, they generally work best when taken before your workouts.

HMB – While the amino acid leucine has shown potential when it comes to stimulating muscle growth, it is fairly particular when it comes to actual effectiveness. Its metabolite, HMB, however is much more forgiving. Taken daily, 1-3g of HMB has been shown to prevent muscle loss and slightly encourage muscle growth. Typically HMB is taken 30-45 minutes before a workout.

Citrulline malate – Citrulline is a very interesting amino acid. Not only has it been shown to increase athletic performance when taken an hour before the workout, but it effectively reduced muscle soreness two days later. The usual dose is 6 to 8g.

L-Carnitine – Many studies have demonstrated that the amino acid carnitine has the ability to increase performance during power-based workouts and preserve muscle mass after the activity. Carnitine also reduces fatigue and muscle soreness.

Proteins

As mentioned at the onset, though, muscle growth is largely influenced by nutrition. When you exercise, you are damaging your muscles. In response to that damage, your body not only repairs the muscles but also makes them stronger than they were before in preparation for the next onslaught. If the proper nutrients are not available your muscles will not improve. In fact, your body could begin to turn on your muscles as fuel if your diet is really lacking.

While some of the recovery supplements covered above can protect your muscles, you still need to provide your body with the protein needed to build more muscle fibers. Depending on your situation, it may be difficult to eat enough lean protein during the day to meet this goal. Protein supplements, then, are a convenient solution.

There are many different types of protein supplements – attained from both plant and animal sources – but whey and casein are the most widely used. Ideally, you would stack both whey and casein since they tend to fit different nutritional needs.

Whey is absorbed into your body quickly, provided a ready source of proteins and contributing to a healthy body composition. Casein, on the other hand, breaks down more slowly and has a different amino acid profile – making it better suited for recovery periods. Many users take whey during the day as a snack and casein before bed to fuel muscle recovery during the night. Although casein is not a stimulant, some of the calories found in it as used for energy production rather than just muscle synthesis.

If you prefer not to invest in two separate protein products, you can also purchase blends. These conveniently mix the two proteins to give you a complete nutritional supplement.

The Bottom Line

Frankly, this just scratches the surface on the available products that claim to increase muscle mass. These recommendations, however, include only those supplements that have solid scientific prove behind them. Although there are many so-called “testosterone boosters” which could theoretically increase muscle mass, they are unreliable.

All of these supplements, though, will do nothing if you aren’t working out. Your muscles need to be progressively challenged to stimulate growth. These substances will help, however, once you give them something to work with.

Laxogenin (5a-Hydroxy) Review

Formally known as 5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin, this substance was officially brought to the public in 1992; however, Japanese scientists were researching it in 1963. The most fascinating thing about this substance is that it is plant based. Before we delve into the finer details of Laxogenin, let’s take a moment to review the major similarities and differences between pro-hormones and legal steroids.

How Laxogenin (5a-Hydroxy) Works

To be clear, Laxogenin is NOT a prohormone.

As I mentioned above, Laxogenin is a plant-based hormone that has been synthetically isolated from the rhizomes of Smilax Sieboldii. As you can see in this study published in the Journal of Phytochemistry, Laxogenin was successfully publicly isolated in 1992. You can also see the same positive results from this study, published in the Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society. Native to China and Japan, the Smilax Sieboldii is called an evergreen climber that grows to an average height of seven feet. As Laxogenin is isolated from a plant source, it is considered a steroidal sapogenin. More importantly, Laxogenin is a part of a group called Brassinosteroids.

Brassinosteroids, also called BRs, make up a group of 40 different steroids that are exclusively synthesized from plants. In the plants themselves, these steroids promote growth and vitality. While studies on Brassinosteroids are limited, this class of plant-based steroids shows excellent promise for muscle building potential. As you can see in this recent study published in the FASEB Journal, researchers concluded that BRs trigger an anabolic, or growth, effect through increasing protein synthesis while inhibiting protein breakdown! What does this mean for you? Total body benefits such as lean muscle mass growth, improvements in sports performance, and overall fat loss. Let me remind you one more time: This is from… a plant!

Best of all, (and I’ll elaborate on this later as well) the study cites that you will benefit from a total body anabolic response with minimal or no side effects!

Once you ingest Laxogenin, it must first pick up the necessary enzyme in the liver to be converted into its steroidal counterpart known as Anavar, or Oxandrolone. As I discuss in the Trenavar article, each pro-hormone has a steroidal counterpart. While the pro-hormone may not provide benefits to the same extent as an illegal anabolic steroid would, it still shares many of those same benefits.

Quick example: Anavar is known to promote lean muscle tissue growth in those using it. Using the illegal anabolic steroid, you may gain 10 pounds of solid, lean muscle tissue. While using the pro-hormone, Laxogenin, you may only gain 6 to 8 pounds in one cycle. There are a variety of factors that come into play, mainly your genetics, but keep in mind that if the steroid has a benefit, the pro-hormone will share that same benefit (even if it is to a lesser extent).

Potential Side Effects of Laxogenin

If you’ve ever completed a Google search for pro-hormones, there’s a good chance you’ve come across some pretty terrifying horror stories of hair loss, man boobs, and severe acne. As I discussed above, Laxogenin is a part of a group known as Brassinosteroids. In several studies, Brassinosteroids have been shown to exhibit anabolic benefits without the typical side effects associated with pro-hormones.

Just to play devil’s advocate, let’s take a look at the potential side effects that Laxogenin’s steroidal counterpart has been known for. This way you have a worst-case scenario guideline just in case you happen to be the guy who can’t seem to catch a break.

Anavar, or Oxandrolone, has been known to be one of the most easygoing anabolic steroids, as odd as that may sound. The primary reason for this is because, like Laxogenin, it is also plant based. As noted in this study from the Journal of Project Management, Anavar has been shown to promote an anabolic environment without the usual hepatotoxic effects that you would find with most other pro-hormones. Examples of hepatoxicity include jaundice, peliosis hepatis, and neoplasms. In other words, your liver gets a pass from the harmful symptoms associated with pro-hormones.

One very well known side effect of using pro-hormones and anabolic steroids is the eventual suppression of your natural production of testosterone and other growth hormones. The idea behind this is that your body is in a constant struggle to achieve balance, or homeostasis. When you begin supplementing with pro-hormones or steroids, your body senses the extreme increase in testosterone in the body and, in response, shuts down its own production. In extreme cases, it may also increase your levels of estrogen to counterbalance the high levels of testosterone.

While Anavar does suppress your growth hormone production, it is at the bare minimum when you compare it to other, more extreme pro-hormones. Most importantly, when you stop using pro-hormones or steroids, a post cycle therapy supplement to detoxify the liver and boost your natural production of testosterone is needed. This is the exciting part about Anavar. As you can see in this study published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood, when you cease to supplement with Anavar, your body experiences a rebound effect, boosting its own natural levels of growth hormones again.

To go further down the rabbit’s hole, here is a list of extreme side effects for Anavar. These side effects are most common in users who have ignored prescribed directions and have supplemented under the notion “more is better.”

Frequent Urination
Breast Tenderness (Very extreme cases of Anavar abuse resulted in breast enlargement)
Acne

The common consensus from users of Anavar is that IF side effects are experienced, they are generally so mild that you barely notice them. Keep in mind that we are talking about Anavar and not Laxogenin. Forums are filled with users of Laxogenin claiming that during their cycle, they experienced no side effects at all. Naturally, I’d take it with a grain of salt and pair Laxogenin up with a PCT, as I will discuss below.

What the Research Says about Laxogenin

Brands that market Laxogenin typically focus on the supplement’s ability to increase lean muscle tissue and strength gains without the typical side effects that are associated with pro-hormones. What’s more, if you are in a position where you will be tested for steroid or pro-hormone use, Laxogenin supposedly will not result in a positive test. What about concrete research for this pro-hormone?

As I mention above, Laxogenin is in a class called Brassinosteroids, which are plant based, proven to increase protein synthesis, and nearly free of side effects. While there is a decent amount of research touting the benefits of Brassinosteroids, real research and clinical trials surrounding Laxogenin are rare. This is common in the pro-hormone industry, simply because these supplements usually get swiped off the shelves within a year of being introduced. The trick is to look at the pro-hormone’s steroidal counterpart and base the potential benefits from that.

Due to their use for medicinal purposes and livestock, anabolic steroids have much more research that is accessible. While a pro-hormone will never have the same extreme effect as a steroid, you can rest assured that you will certainly benefit in a very similar way. In this case, we’ll take a look at what the research says about Anavar.

Muscle Mass & Strength

Several studies have shown that Anavar is a very effective supplement for significantly boosting your lean muscle tissue as well as strength. As you can see in this study published in the Journal of Pediatrics, Anavar was given to victims of severe burns who had lost most of their muscle mass and strength. Those who were prescribed Anavar and exercise showed a dramatic increase in muscle mass and strength.

Another study published in the Journal of Applied Physiology showed how effective Anavar was in developing muscle WITHOUT exercise. With a focus on thigh muscle, the study showed a remarkable increase in those taking Anavar compared with those taking the placebo. The most amazing thing is that none of the men exercised during the study, yet still gained a good amount of lean muscle tissue.

Fat Loss

While gaining muscle mass may be your primary goal, reducing body fat at the same time would be ideal so that you can effectively sculpt your muscles. Anavar is very well known for its fat-burning potential as demonstrated in a number of studies. The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism featured a study that showed abdominal and visceral fat were both significantly reduced when supplementing with Anavar.

Wound Healing

In conjunction with the study mentioned above, Anavar has been used in the medical field as a potent supplement for healing wounds. A study published in Wound Repair and Regeneration shows how effective Anavar can be at speeding up the healing process, making it more efficient. Why would this be relevant to you? When you are in the weight room performing set after set, you are causing micro tears in your muscle. If you are taking a pro-hormone that mimics the healing benefits of its steroidal counterpart, then you may experience faster recovery rates. The faster you recover, the faster you can get back in the gym.

Remember that the research above is for Laxogenin’s steroidal counterpart, Anavar. Since Laxogenin is structurally very similar to Anavar, the idea is to base your potential benefits from this research. You can safely assume that when supplementing with Laxogenin, you will see gains in lean muscle tissue and rapid recovery along with reduced body fat.

Best Way to Use Laxogenin

Depending on the brand you buy, directions and serving sizes may vary slightly but I’m going to cover the general usage instructions that you can expect.

Dosage:

This will range between 60 mg and 100 mg with the latter being the clinical dosage.

Cycle Length

Again, this will vary by company. I have seen recommended cycles of 4, 8, and 12 weeks. The one thing in common was the required off-cycle of 4 weeks. If you’re new to the pro-hormone world, my recommendation would be an on-cycle of 4 weeks and an off-cycle of 4 weeks. Evaluate how you feel then try another cycle if you are up to it.

Cycle Support

Every brand you find will tell you the same thing: Since Laxogenin is not toxic to the liver, a cycle support supplement is unnecessary. However, you CAN safely take a cycle support supplement without jeopardizing your gains. With that said, I would recommend using cycle support, even if it’s the lowest dosage on the market. Better to be safe than sorry.
On another note, if you decide to stack with Laxogenin then you WILL need cycle support. If you stack Laxogenin with another pro-hormone such as Epistane, which is liver toxic, a cycle support is required.

Stacking Method

The nice thing about Laxogenin is that it is able to be stacked with a variety of different supplements such as natural testosterone boosters, thermogenics, pro-hormones, and intra or post cycle support. As I mention above, if you decide to stack with another pro-hormone, make sure you are using support during and after your Laxogenin cycle. Don’t forget about that 4 week off-cycle!

Conclusion

Laxogenin sounds almost too good to be true. A plant-based pro-hormone that has been proven to increase lean muscle mass without the added risk of side effects such as man boobs or hair loss. Compared to some similar options, Laxogenin is definitely fairly low risk and giving it a shot yourself should not have any negative consequences unless you are allergic or on meds that interact with it.

If you’ve been naturally supporting your testosterone levels and you’re looking to take your gains to the next stage without the potential side effects, Laxogenin may be an excellent choice.

Weight loss is one of the most common fitness goals out there but, for many people, it can be a formidable challenge. So, an effective supplement is a pretty valuable and sought-after thing. Of course, different supplements work in different ways and a variety of biological factors effect weight loss and gain. Building a stack – or combination of supplements – that can attack the problem from several angles, then, is a useful strategy. But what actually works? What Works

Synphedrine – Taken from Bitter Orange, and sometimes marketed under that name, synphedrine is extremely similar to ephedrine in both structure and mechanism. The major difference, though, is that synphedrine is far less potent. This can be a good thing, however, for people that cannot tolerate ephedrine. The usual dosage used here ranges between 10-20mg three times each day. Like ephedrine, synphedrine is enhanced by caffeine.

Green Tea – In addition to a modest dosage of caffeine (between 24-45mg per 8oz), green tea contains other substances that can increase alertness and mental focus. As far as fat burn goes, green tea also offers several catechins – including EGCG – which increase fat metabolism. The effectiveness of these substances, though, is directly affected by your caffeine tolerance. If you are tolerant to caffeine, green tea will have little-to-no effect. Still, green tea can work in the short-term and can easily be brewed at home. Despite what marketers would like you to believe, there is little difference between store-bought green tea supplements and a simple cup of tea.

Yohimbine – Extracted from the bark of the yohimbe tree, this substance is an extremely powerful stimulant fat-burner. Specifically speaking, yohimbine increases your levels of adrenaline which speeds up your metabolism while increasing your use of fat for fuel. As is common with stimulants, though, there is a risk of anxiety and several other side effects with yohimbine supplementation.Fortunately, it seems to work at surprisingly low dosages, especially when stacked with some of the above products. The typical recommendation is .2mg/kg of body weight. Yohimbine does seem to work better when taken on an empty stomach.

It should also be noted that caffeine and ephedrine (or synphedrine) are frequently stacked with aspirin, which increases the effectiveness of those stimulants. In theory, this could help to reduce your tolerance and keep your body reacting to the stimulants more effectively for a longer period.

What Doesn’t Work

If you’ve ever looked at the label of a commercial weight loss supplement, you might notice that the above list is pretty small compared to what goes into a lot of these products. Unfortunately, that’s because many ingredients in these supplements have little or no scientific evidence to back up their use. Here are some of the more common ingredients that you can pass on when building your custom stack.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid – Usually billed as CLA, this group of fatty acids directly effects a biological system called PPAR fat burning, steroid hormone production and glucose metabolism. Unfortunately, there just is not enough evidence to support the reputation that CLA has gained in the industry.The studies are frustratingly mixed and, while CLA does have an impact on body composition, it is incredibly small. That being said, CLA is overall a healthy fat and won’t do any harm if it’s included in a supplement you happen to pick up.One common CLA supplement we get alot of questions about is Cis (C9)-T11.
Raspberry ketones – Despite all of the positive press this substance has received, raspberry ketones probably won’t do anything more than make your breath smell like raspberries. The hype seems to be based on the fact that these ketones increased fat burn in a test tube and later in rats. Unfortunately, these results have never been reproduced in a human body and, based on the dosages used in the animal studies, would take an incredibly high dose.

Green coffee extract – Having been promoted as a magic pill for weight loss, green coffee extract experienced a short burst of popularity. As happens with many supplements, though, the claims about these benefits were based on low-quality, preliminary research.A few studies suggest that green coffee extract might have the ability to cause very small amounts of weight loss in overweight and obese individuals by influencing the way that carbs are absorbed, but these results have never been duplicated in other demographics.

Garcinia cambogia – Also called tamarind, garcinia cambogia, does seem to have some potential when it comes to appetite control – when used as a whole fruit. Some animal studies did show that garcinia cambogia could prevent the formation of body fat but these findings haven’t been reproduced in humans.

Final Thoughts

The truth is that there really aren’t that many substances out there that are proven to work as weight loss supplements. Many common ingredients that are touted as magic bullets simply aren’t. While this can be frustrating, it does mean that you can fairly easily – and cheaply – build a weight loss stack that will work for you.

Estra-4 9 11-triene-3 17-dione Trenavar Review

Trenavar, otherwise known as Estra-4,9,11-triene-3,17-dione, is a widely used pro-hormone that is supposedly 10 times more androgenic than testosterone, according to the majority of companies that offer it. As I mentioned above, testosterone is a powerful growth hormone. Remember that androgenic corresponds to the male-dominated changes with an emphasis on the growth of skeletal muscle. That means once Trenavar is converted in your body, it will be 10 times more powerful than testosterone at amplifying those androgenic characteristics!

Trenavar is a relatively new pro-hormone. It was released in 2011 by two main supplement companies: Innovative Body Enhancement Supplements, based out of San Bernardino, California, and PHF Supplements, located in Mandeville, Louisiana. Since then, several more brands have appeared on the market.

1. What is a Pro-hormone?

Let’s get something straight right from the start: pro-hormones are NOT steroids. This is a common misconception by those considering supplementing their muscle gains and fat loss. While both do share the benefits of increased lean muscle mass and reduced body fat, the two are vastly different on a molecular level.

Anabolic steroids are not be confused with Corticosteroids, which is what you get from your doctor to treat symptoms such as inflammation. Anabolic steroids are synthetic substances that are very closely related to the male sex hormones such as testosterone. As you probably remember from health class, testosterone is primarily responsible for those funny changes that guys go through during puberty including the deep voice, hair growth, and increased muscle and bone growth. These changes are labeled as androgenic and steroids do a terrific job at amplifying every one of these male dominated traits for men AND women.

Pro-hormones, on the other hand, are precursors to steroid hormones. This means that your body must first convert the pro-hormone in order for it to then become a usable steroid hormone. This conversion takes place in your liver as the active enzyme needed to convert the pro-hormone into a steroid hormone is available here. As you’ll read below, the health of your liver becomes a serious issue when using any type of pro-hormone since this is the site of conversion. Even with this seemingly flawless conversion process, pro-hormones have their limits. Despite the dosage, your body will only be able to convert a limited amount of steroid hormones.

Anabolic steroids need no conversion nor do they have that limit that pro-hormones are subjected to. Steroids directly increase your hormone levels right from the start. This one difference is what marks the fine line between legal and illegal. Steroids have a direct influence on your growth hormones while pro-hormones must be converted into that steroid hormone. Essentially, if it’s an steroid before it enters your body, it’s illegal. If it becomes a steroid hormone after it’s in your body, then it’s legal… but just barely.

Still confused? Here’s a perfect example:

Winstrol is one of the most popular anabolic steroids of all time. Even if you know absolutely nothing about steroids, chances are very likely you’ve heard people talk about Winstrol (Bob from Fight Club makes a few mentions). Winstrol is highly effective and highly illegal. You want the benefits of Winstrol but you don’t want to risk the heat, so what do you do? You take a pro-hormone that is comparable to Winstrol once it’s converted in your body. In this case, you would supplement with the pro-hormone, Prostanozol. Once inside your body, Prostanozol provides you with an increase in strength and lean muscle mass that is similar to the illegal anabolic steroid, Winstrol.

Both anabolic steroids and pro-hormones share many benefits as well as side effects, which I’ll discuss in more detail below.

We know that pro-hormones must convert in your body in order to become an active steroid hormone; so what does Trenavar convert into? Its steroidal counterpart is Trenbolone.

What is Trenbolone?

Often shortened to “Tren,” Trenbolone is an illegal anabolic steroid that is incredibly famous for accelerated gains in muscle mass and reduced body fat, essentially providing the user with that classic dry cut look that many bodybuilders hope to achieve.

When you take Trenavar, your body works to make the conversion to Trenbolone. One of the most surprising things about Trenavar and Trenbolone is that the only difference between the pro-hormone and anabolic steroid is a single variation in ketone structure. Ordinarily, pro-hormones are marketed with their steroidal counterpart but, in terms of structure, there usually exists a pretty big gap in molecular structure. Trenavar is one of the few pro-hormones that nearly mimics its steroidal counterpart’s structure. This is why users of Trenavar get to experience nearly all of the same benefits as the anabolic steroid. I’ll discuss the benefits of Trenavar through reviewing research and case studies below.

While you may get to enjoy many of the benefits of the anabolic steroid, you may also have to suffer the side effects that go along with it.

As always, side effects will vary greatly from person to person; however, due to the fact that Trenavar is nearly identical to Trenobone post-conversion, the likelihood of you experiencing Tren-like side effects is very high. Here is a list of the most common side effects that users experienced while supplementing with Trenavar.

4. Trenavar Can Cause Hepatotoxicity

Let’s get the worst one out of the way first. As mentioned above, the conversion of the pro-hormone takes place in the liver as this is where the necessary enzyme is available to activate the steroid hormone. Regardless if your pro-hormone cycle lasts 6 or 12 weeks, your liver is going to be busy converting and, more importantly, filtering the potentially harmful chemicals you are ingesting. This consistent build-up of pro-hormones in your body may lead to liver damage.I cannot stress enough the importance of your liver. Your liver is your go-to guy for metabolic breakdown, filtration and detoxification of blood, and essential vitamin storage (among many other responsibilities). You only get one of these and if it goes, you go.
To continue with this idea of organ damage, your kidneys are also at risk during a pro-hormone cycle. They, like the liver, are also involved in the filtration and detoxification of harmful byproducts in your body. Damage to the kidneys is exacerbated primarily by the next side effect on the list.

5. Trenavar Can Cause High Blood Pressure

It’s simple math when you break it down. You are increasing your body’s levels of testosterone far past it’s normal ranges. In response, your body will increase its other sex hormone, estrogen, to try to achieve homeostasis. Your body loves balance and it hates when hormonal levels are out of whack.It’s attempt to correct the situation leaves you with elevated estrogen levels. Always read terms of service before using trenavar. A high level of estrogen in the body is associated with increased fluid and electrolyte retention, which happen to be two causes for high blood pressure.

6. Trenavar Can Cause Hair Loss

Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, is simply misunderstood. Within normal ranges in the body, it is a powerful hormone that plays an important role in a variety of processes. It’s converted from testosterone and it is one of the biggest drivers when it comes to capitalizing on an anabolic environment for muscle growth. Not many people recognize DHT for this. It’s most popular for causing hair loss.An overabundance of DHT on the scalp chokes out and kills your hair roots. Products like Rogaine are applied to reduce the amount of DHT on your skin but do nothing for what’s going on inside your body. When you start a pro-hormone cycle, your body’s production of testosterone and, consequently, DHT, skyrockets. Hair loss is a very common, and almost expected, side effect of pro-hormone and steroid use.

7. Trenavar Can Cause Testosterone (Long Term)

As I mentioned above, your body is constantly striving for homeostasis. When your testosterone levels exceed the natural limit, your body shuts down the production of testosterone and elevates levels of estrogen. When it comes to finding the scientific research on pro-hormones, it gets a little tricky. Many pro-hormones aren’t on the market very long due to being pulled by one agency or another. More often than not; however, there is plenty of research on the pro-hormone’s steroidal counterpart. In this case, you take the proven results of Trenbolone in order to get a good idea of what to expect with the pro-hormone, Trenavar.

As you can see in this study published in the British Journal of Nutrion, Trenbolone has shown its superiority in the steroid community for some time. For over 40 years, Trenbolone has proven to be an efficient steroid for gaining a large amount of lean muscle tissue with minimal water retention, providing that dry cut look. This is, without a doubt, primarily due to Trenbolone’s ability to provide a highly anabolic, or growth, environment, Trenavar.

To put it into perspective, as you’ll see in this study published in Journal of Cellular Physiology, testosterone has a muscle building rate of 100 while Trenbolone has a rate of 500! Best of all, Trenbolone was shown to successfully and dramatically increase the IGF-1 growth hormone within muscle tissue. Trenavar’s conversion rate within your body has been shown to be incredibly high, nearly mimicking that of its steroidal counterpart. Although Trenavar is just one ketone short of being an illegal anabolic steroid, it shares many of the bodybuilding benefits mentioned above. Keep in mind that while the results may not be as extreme as a full on anabolic steroid, you’re certainly going to notice big changes. The key is to make sure you are properly executing your pro-hormone cycle WHILE on a strict exercise and diet program.

Given the potential side effects, you want to make sure you are taking Trenavar, or any pro-hormone for that matter, according to its potency and half-life. Due to its high potency, the absolute maximum length of your pro-hormone cycle will be 30 days.

Fat Burn X Review – Miracle Fat Burner Or Dud?

I’m getting alot of requests from readers to review a supplement called Fat Burn X. I have to be honest, up until this point I had never even heard of it, which is sort of embarrassing for a guy who runs a huge supplement review website. 🙂 This fat burner claims to be the “new supplement you need to try”, but is it really that effective? We ordered a bottle to test out ourselves, but first let’s talk a bit about how it works, the ingredients, and then we’ll get to the nitty gritty details of our results.

What is Fat Burn X

Finding info on Fat Burn X was not easy. There’s ton’s of other so called “review sites” that talk the product up, but not one of them has seemed to use it. The official site says that their product is a industry leading fat burner that contains an exciting new formula that was created after years of trials. Unfortunately, other then noting that it contains caffeine, green tea, and grapefruit extract, they leave us to guess what else might be in the formula.

Fortunately, I ordered a bottle, and the ingredients on the label indicate that it also contains psyllium husks, garcinia cambogia extract, citrus aurantium, green tea, apple cider vinegar, and juniper berry. It doesn’t say how much caffeine it contains, so use caution when taking it for the first time.

How do I take it

The directions on the bottle state that you should take 2 capsules daily in the morning. Since this product contains caffeine, I would recommend you start off with just one capsule on a full stomach to assess your tolerance.

Stacking Fat Burn X With Other Supplements

There’s some talk around the internet that stacking fat burn x along with other supplements like ripped muscle x, elite test 360, and alpha rush pro is supposed to have an amazing effect. These Flogs as I like to call them (Fake Blogs = Flogs) usually involve some story about a celebrity using the stack and losing some insane amount of weight while building an extraordinary amount of muscle.

I talk about this in detail in my free trial article on scams. Basically, they put up a fake news story that looks like it’s on news type website. It comes complete with a story about how major celebs like Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Mel Gibson, or The Rock used Fat Burn X along with some other supplement to get insane results.

Then the author of the story runs an “experiment” with the combo and also see’s a drastic reduction in weight and muscle gain. The article is complete with comments from other guys saying they’re also getting insane results to help give it social proof.

These comments are clearly fake, because if you notice there’s nowhere to even leave a comment, should you choose to do so.

The other thing that is very revealing on this page is that they literally spell it out that it’s an advertisement, and not an actual news article, blog, or consumer protection update.

They are not affiliated with CNN, Men’s Health, CNBC, etc., and the whole page is a complete fabrication.

Where Can I Buy It

From what I could gather, Fat Burn X is only available on it’s official website. I spoke with some of the reps at my local GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, and Walgreens/CVS, and none of them had even heard of the product.

This supplement is EXPENSIVE, coming in at $89.99 for just a one month supply. When stacked up against other weight loss supplements, this is on average about $45 more expensive. They do offer discounts for larger orders, for instance offering 2 free bottles when you buy 3.

They also offer a free “trial” of their product, but this is not to be confused with a free “sample”. When you order the trial, you simply pay a small shipping fee, typically around $4 – $5. However, if you read the terms and conditions you’ll see the following:

“*You will have 10 days from the date you receive your bottle to decide if Fat Burn X is right for you. By clicking the button to the right and submitting this order, you agree that your card will be charged $4.95 for shipping & handling, you agree to pay $87.63 for your first bottle of Fat Burn X unless you cancel your order within 10 days of receipt and return the bottle to us postmarked within 10th days of receipt, and you agree to pay $87.63 each month for a new bottle of Fat Burn X that will be automatically shipped to you each month unless you cancel.“

You can cancel at anytime by calling their customer support phone number, but I can’t tell you how many guys aren’t aware of this when they’re ordering the trial. Best thing to do is to mark your calendar the day you order it and be sure to call and cancel if you’re not satisfied with it.

Reviews of Fat Burn X

When I originally wrote this, finding reviews on fat burn X was a bit of a mystery. It wasn’t available on Amazon at the time, and from the limited info I could gather, there were a few sites that talk broadly about the supplement, but no one seems to have really used it.

However, this has changed. It is now available on Amazon, and if you read the reviews, they are not very good…statements like “this product is garbage” and “I think it is a waste of money” are common.

In fact, out of the 5 reviews on there, there’s only a few that are positive, and even they look like they might be fake.

He talks up the combo of Fat Burn X along with Alpha Rush Pro, but what you probably didn’t realize is that he’s ACTUALLY a paid actor! How do I know this?? Well, check out the image below…

You can hire this guy for as low as $5 to be a PAID spokesman for your supplement. I have seen him do this before, most notably with another competing supplement called Elite Test 360.

Our Results With Fat Burn X

While I don’t really need to lose any weight, I have a few friends that are on the “heavy” side that are always interested in trying out a fat burner. One of my friends, Chris, was immediately interested in taking it, and here’s his results:

“When I first started taking fat burn x I weighed in at around 220 lbs. Since my ideal weight is about 190, obviously I had alot of work to do. The first thing I noticed when taking this was a bit of an increase in energy. This was most likely from the caffeine in it, but it wasn’t some HUGE increase in energy (maybe 1 – 2 cups of coffee).

After about 2 weeks I noticed I had lost about 5 lbs., but I’m not sure if it was a result of taking the Fat Burn X or if I was just eating healthier and working out more. It didn’t seem to act like an appetite suppressant or anything, and even the energy effect started to wear off leading into weeks 3 and 4.

All in all I think it’s a decent weight loss supplement, but nothing to brag about.”

Recommendation

Fat Burn X in my opinion is just an OK weight loss supplement. While it obviously does give you a boost in energy, there’s no way of telling that a simple caffeine pill from your local Walmart couldn’t do the same thing. If you’re willing to fork over the $89.99 for a one month supply it might be worth it. If you’re looking for something more effective, both in terms of price and results, then I would suggest you look elsewhere.

What is Addium?

According to the products own website, Addium is a cerebral enhancement complex that is intended to help increase your energy, maintain focus, and boost your brain performance.

According to the marketing I am reading behind this pill, it seems to be much more then that.

More on that later…

So what’s in Addium that apparently makes it so effective? Well, for starters the ingredients listed include Vitamin B3 Niacin, Vitamin B6, Caffeine, L-Theanine, Vinpocetine, Alpha GPC, Tyrosine, Gaba, and Bacopa Monnieri.

But the primary ingredient that stood out to me was Huperzine A. Huperzine A has been clinically studied and proven effective at helping patients with Alzheimer’s disease, memory and learning enhancement, and age-related memory impairment. (Source: 1)

However, these studies involved a very small number of participants and the data was not found to be conclusive.

From my experience (which you can read about below) Addium contains a TON of caffeine, although the label doesn’t tell you exactly how much.

The strong effects from the Caffeine seemed to be offset by the amino acid L-Theanine, which reportedly produces feelings of calm and relaxation. (Source: 2)

GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) is a well-known amino acid that plays a role in reducing neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system. (Source: 3) However, GABA has a very hard time crossing the blood brain barrier in significant quantities, so its effects are limited.

There also appears to be another product with a similar sounding name called Adderin that just popped up on my radar. My suspicion is that this supplement is the same as Addium, but I can’t say for sure. The bottle / label closely resembles that of Addium, with a few small changes.

The product itself is not that expensive, with a one month supply running at $40 a bottle. They also offer discounts for larger orders, as well as offer a 30 day money back guarantee, which is not uncommon in the industry.

I checked around on a few other sites, and other then Amazon, it doesn’t appear to be sold at any retail stores like GNC, Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart.

Our Main Problem With Addium – The Claims

So originally when I started doing the research for Addium, I came across an ad on Yahoo that had an intriguing headline that read “Controversial ‘Limitless Pill” Used By The 1%. Does taking this pill give you an unfair advantage in life?”

I clicked on the ad and it took me to a page that, at first, looked like an independent article printed in a scholarly magazine.

Through this article there’s mention that their supplement was featured on the hit daytime TV show “The Doctors” (and Dr OZ) and that it was also the inspiration for the movie “Limitless” starring Bradley Cooper.

However, this is completely and utterly false…

As you’ll see here, this is the tweet THEY show from the official Limitless movie twitter page in the article:

They also claim that it’s been seen in a Forbes article titled “Addium: Viagra For The Brain”, as you’ll see in this photo:

But if you check out the REAL Forbes article, you’ll see there is no mention of Addium whatsoever. Just like the Limitless Tweet, it’s false and misleading advertising that leads you to believe it has some real credibility.

While were not sure if the actual company is behind it, or it’s just an internet marketer who’s making these claims, but there’s no denying their existence.

I’ve written about many other supposed brain boosting supplements that use the EXACT same marketing for their products, including this one, Neuro 3X, Intellux, and Synagen IQ.

Sometimes they even make claims that celebrities like Will Smith and Leonardo Dicaprio are using them, and I prove it wrong each and EVERY time.

Finally, the makers (or marketers) of Addium state that their supplement was involved in a clinical study by the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit, or NCTU for short. However, upon investigating their website I couldn’t find any published information concerning Addium.

If a supplement like this had ACTUALLY been clinically studied, don’t you think they would be highlighting it more on their website?

Reviews and Testimonials

As far as finding Addium reviews, there was actually a decent amount of them on a few online site like Yahoo answers and Amazon. However, the legitimacy of these reviews can definitely be called into question.

For one, I read through a ton of the reviews on Amazon, and almost EVERY SINGLE reviewer literally had only left a review of Addium, and not ONE other product.

This is a classic sign of a fake amazon review, which is very prevalent. Basically, what companies will do is hire people to create a fake Amazon account and “review” their product.

You’ll see the classic signs of this when you click on the “See all my reviews” and notice that they haven’t reviewed anything else.

In fact, the majority of the negative reviews you’ll find on Amazon all point out the very same thing.

The same thing go’s for the reviews I found on Yahoo. There’s about 18 answers on there, all speaking very highly of their results with Addium. However, if you click on the name of the person leaving the review you’ll see time and time again that it is LITERALLY the ONLY answer they have ever left on Yahoo Answers.

Again, this is pointed out by the people who had a “negative” effect with the product.

The only “credible” review I could find was on Youtube, where a man describes his experiences with Addium. If you can get through the first 8 minutes or so of him badly pronouncing practically every ingredient on the label, and then giving a description of each, as well as saying the word “beast” close to 20 times, he finally gets to his personal results.

He uses the example that he could remember someones last name that he couldn’t remember for months, which is actually quite comical. All in all he says his results were pretty good, describing it as a very positive experience.

My Personal Test Results

The makers of addium were kind enough to send us a bottle of their supplement to test out and I finally got around to trying it. If you’ve read some of the reviews at the bottom of the page, you can see that I could / would be a little apprehensive about taking it.

Comments like “it felt like a cocaine comedown” and “I felt like I had 10 mugs of strong coffee” can definitely scare the bajeezsus out of anyone considering taking it.

However, in the interest of keeping a fair and honest review blog, I decided to “take the plunge” and give it a go for a couple of days at least.

The first thing I noted was how huge the capsules were…

I would honestly say they were some of the biggest I have ever seen in a supplement, and I’ve tested HUNDREDS of supplements over the years. The directions on the label state that you should take 1 capsule daily, though it doesn’t clarify whether or not you should take it on an empty stomach.

I’m a bit sensitive to caffeine and other stimulants, so I decided to take 1 capsule with breakfast.

It took about an hour to kick in, but man when it did, I felt the same as one of the other reviewers did. It felt like I had drank 5 cups of coffee in 5 minutes. Jittery hands, a shaky voice, and an incessant nervous twitch in my eyelid. Definitely not a comfortable feeling.

I ate a late breakfast and the feelings seemed to subside.

As the hours passed I have to admit I did feel a bit more “motivated” to get some work done.

I wasn’t setting any records as far as getting tasks done, but I was working on tasks I would normally put off for a later date.

I also felt less distracted, and even a bit more sociable than usual. I also noticed I felt a it more “calm” then usual, which I would attribute to the L-Theanine in Addium.

By the end of the day I definitely started feeling a pretty big crash, which based on the way I felt earlier I wasn’t totally surprised. The most noticeable effect was a headache….a splitting headache.

Fortunately, I popped a couple of advil and it seemed to alleviate it pretty well.

I also felt a bit lethargic, kind of like the feeling you get after a REALLY long day. The kind where you just want to sit around in a dark room and watch reruns of Breaking Bad.

I decided to take it over the course of about 4 days to see its “longer term” potential, and I did feel a bit more focused and concentrated on tasks. It wasn’t anything “ground breaking”, but the cognitive effect was definitely there.

For me, the effects seemed to kind of wear off over the weekend. I thought about upping the dose to 2 capsules, but they caution against that so I decided not to.

Frequently Asked Questions We Get About Addium

How do I take it?

As a dietary supplement, the label says you should take 1 capsule daily. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to take it on an empty stomach or not, but I would suggest you do so on your first dosage to assess your tolerance.

How long does it take to kick in?

According to what I’m seeing, you generally start to see results in the first 30 minutes, with the biggest effects seen after about 2 hours.

Users report the effects wearing off about 6 hours after the first dose.

Will It Cause Any Side Effects?

That’s tough to say, because really ANY supplement can cause one side effect or another, and Addium is no exception.

For example, it does contain caffeine, which has the obvious side effects like increased blood pressure, anxiety, and a jittery feeling. It must be noted that the quantity of caffeine is not indicated on the label, so there’s no way to compare it to say, a cup of coffee.

When I originally wrote this review there weren’t too many people complaining of side effects. HOWEVER, in the past few months I’ve gotten ton’s of feedback on Addium and the #1 complaint seems to be that it’s causing a rash to develop on the face, neck, and several parts of the body.

Pretty scary stuff, and it turns out that it’s likely the heavy Vitamin B3 (Niacin) content, which is 30 mg. The makers of Addium actually responded to this guy on his Google + page, and said that they were planning on completely removing Niacin from their product.

Was Addium Really Featured on CNN / The Doctors TV Show / Etc.?

Likely not. There is an article about Addium on the CNN website, but that’s on the iReport section, which is not vetted by professional journalists or documented / researched properly concerning its claims.

Basically what that means is anyone can post practically anything and pass it off as a journalistic piece.

Within the article they also mention the Limitless Movie reference on Twitter, which as you’ve already seen above has been proven false.

Is this the same as Adderin?

In my personal opinion, yes. I wrote my Adderin review back in August of this year, and as I noted there the first thing I noticed was the striking similarities between Addium and Adderin.

The most obvious similarity was the formula. It was nearly IDENTICAL to that of Addium, minus about 10 mg of Niacin.

My thought is that because Addium is getting a lot of negative publicity, the makers decided to just create a totally new brand and market it under a different name.

Most of the “real” reviews are not very positive.
They use deceptive marketing to promote their product.
There seem to be plenty of people experiencing side effects from it.
My personal results were not very favorable.
There are much better / proven supplements on the market.

Recommendation

I’m a bit torn on Addium…it’s definitely not some “limitless” pill that’s for sure. I didn’t feel as though I could make millions on the stock market overnight, or solve complicated mathematical formulas at the drop of a hat.

I’ve taken prescription medications like Adderal and Vyvans before, and Addium felt nothing like them. Apart from the Addium side effects that I feel came from the niacin content, I did feel a bit more motivated to get things done, but nothing truly revolutionary.

Perhaps if one was to take this on a consistent basis it might have a more profound effect. I’ll continue taking it over the course of a week to see if there’s any difference, so check back for further updates.

Promescent Review – My Personal Results

The Better Business Bureau gives them an A+ rating, however, there are no reviews listed on that site.

Is it FDA approved?

No, it is an over the counter premature ejaculation remedy, so it does not need FDA approval.

However, the active ingredient Lidocaine IS an FDA approved drug for use in several products.

These include Restylane Lyft and Lidoderm (a lidocaine patch).

How long does it last?

From my own personal experience, It seemed to be working for a couple of hours before the effects started to wear off. The directions on the label state that you should wash it off after intercourse, and it’s probably a good idea to follow that recommendation because it will annoy the hell out of you after awhile.

What are the reviews saying about it?

All in all, the reviews and testimonials I came across on various sites like Amazon, Ebay, and others were very positive. There were a few unsatisfied customers, but that’s to be expected for any product. Some guys reported using as many as 8 sprays and said they didn’t feel a thing.

My Results With Promescent

I don’t typically suffer from premature ejaculation, so I might not be the best candidate for testing. However, I figured if it indeed did work that I would at least be able to notice a difference. I’ve been in a long-term relationship for the last 5 years now, so bringing up the topic of spraying my penis with a numbing cream to my girlfriend of 5 years was not very difficult.

After much reassurance that her vagina would not incinerate itself from this stuff, we decided to run an experiment. First, we had sex with no Promescent at all…this was the “control” group. It took me 10 min to climax, hardly an indication of premature ejaculation. Two days later we decided to go for it.

I followed the directions and applied about 3 – 4 sprays to the penis and got it all rubbed in. Then, I waited. After about 2 minutes (maybe even less) I could feel like a tingling sensation, and the numbing effect started to take effect.

We started on our “experiment” and we did it…for close to 25 minutes. The whole time it felt as though my penis had been removed and i was simply performing “horizontal hip thrusts” continuously. Warped from exhaustion and with no end in sight, I decided to call it quits. I just could NOT orgasm, at all. Mind you, I only used 3 sprays, which is the BARE minimum. I can’t even imagine if I used 10 sprays…

For all intents and purposes, Promescent definitely works, almost too well. From my experience, It seemed to numb me very well, but at the same time seemed to almost completely eliminate ALL sensation, making it feel like I wasn’t even having sex.

Recommendation

This is a great product for a guy who is in a long term relationship. Being with a woman for the very first time, it might be kind of hard to say “hang on a second while I put this lotion on my penis”. It might quell the mood a bit, and has the potential to freak out a one-night stand. I guess you could sneak into the bathroom real quick to claim an “emergency” so you could quickly dab some spray on, but again, would probably quell the mood. And god forbid if she wants to go down on you, you may have some explaining to do.

If you’re someone who’s been suffering from premature ejaculation for sometime, I would highly recommend giving their sample size a shot. But i definitely recommend you start with just a couple of sprays and see how you respond.

The Phalizine product page on Amazon does provide an ingredient list. It doesn’t provide amounts, but the components are:

Eurycoma Longifolia (aka Tongkat Ali, aka Longjack) increases free testosterone by reducing the amount of Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) that would otherwise bind to the free testosterone molecules, rendering them ineffective.

Tongkat Ali increases free testosterone. Sex Hormone Binding Globulin attaches itself to testosterone molecules, making them bound and useless. Tongkat Ali reduces the amount of SHBG, keeping more of your total testosterone free and available for use.
L-Arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide. NO increases vasodilation which means that blood flows more freely. Since erections are basically a rush of blood to the penis, this increase in blood flow means better, harder, and even bigger erections.

The three ingredients we know are all good and beneficial in a male enhancement supplement or a testosterone booster. The problem is we don’t know what else is in the formula and we don’t know how much of each ingredient there is. That and the huge disparity in the reviews leads us away from recommending DudeMax XL. We’d say go with something more certain.

I cannot personally recommend something with an incomplete ingredient list because who am I to say whether or not those extra ingredients that you and I cannot possibly know about are even safe.

Save your money and check out the HUNDREDS of similar products that have complete ingredients lists and you will even find many that are clinically tested.
