How Green Bulge Works

Of course, before we can say whether the product is worth using or not, we had to do a little bit of research.  We found that the product is comprised of B vitamins to supply the energy usually offered by caffeine, as well as magnesium creatine chelate and the company’s own HyperBulge Complex, which is designed to work in synergy with the creatine in the supplement to help increase strength and stamina, help increase mass, and to help your body produce and utilize ATP more effectively.  In short, the product has been formulated to actually work, hence the lack of need for outrageous claims.

The product does not appear to have its own website, though it is available for various prices through leading web bodybuilding companies and many physical stores as well.

User Reviews

User reviews for Green Bulge are fairly easy to find.  Users certainly give the product above average rankings on virtually every site available, and many note that it “delivers greatly” and offers “visible results”.  In terms of cons, there are some who complain about the large number of pills that must be taken as well as the fact that it takes up to two weeks to start getting visible results, although on the latter end of that, it is really something that should be expected when you are looking at real results and not claims made by overzealous advertisers.

Recommendation

The bottom line is that we certainly recommend Green Bulge.  The product has great ingredients, is low on fillers and has no stimulants, which means no real side effects.  Users can’t seem to find enough great things to say about the product, which is certainly a big plus in an over saturated market and the simple fact is that there is ample science to back this product of. Free of hype but big on results makes Green Bulge a definite recommendation.

The makers of Wellthy Sweat greet us with a really clean-looking label, with all the ingredients and doses indicated as plainly as possible.

This is a good start and will allow us to thoroughly assess the merits of the product:

  • Guarana Extract. Guarana extract is a type of alternative caffeine source some users prefer over standard caffeine. The science is, guarana has a slow-release type of caffeine, making the energy more sustainable for long periods than a huge spike. [1] Of course, because the energy is sustainable the crashing is reduced as well as the jitters.  At 200 mg and 22% caffeine, you’re really only getting 44 mg caffeine.
  • Dandelion, Juniper, and Uva Ursi. These ingredients are bonafide diuretics, ingredients that will make you pass much of the excess water you are carrying.  At a combined dosage of 500 mg, we think WELLTHY SWEAT Fat Burner may have used too much. We also don’t favor diuretics in general because, well, you can easily gain back the water weight you lost in no time.
  • L Carnitine. The trendiest fat burner that’s been added in all sorts of beverages in the early and mid 2000’s (damn, I feel old!), L Carnitine helps funnel fatty acids into our cells which leads to increase fat conversion to energy.
  • Green Coffee. Another caffeine alternative, but this time it has more perks. Green coffee bean is known for its chlorogenic acid, a compound found in raw coffee beans and lost during the roasting process. CGAs help spark fat burning as well as improve blood sugar management.

The 100 mg dose is where this supplement is found wanting. Not to mention that Wellthy Sweat didn’t use the premium, standardized version of Green Coffee. Big mistake.

The label also declares a total of 142 mg caffeine which we think is potentially too high for a female fat burner.

  • Cayenne. Ever wonder why people in South East Asia generally don’t look fat?

That’s because their diets are rich in spices, among them cayenne. Cayenne literally makes the body burn a lot of fat and rapidly increases core temperature. It also helps with appetite control.

The dosing is good with this one.

  • Capsimax. This is the premium version of cayenne, which makes us wonder why they didn’t just use all the dosage for this ingredient. It’s standardized for 2% capsaicinoids which is pretty good considering capsaicinoids are really hard to extract from cayenne.

At 70 mg, we think it’s enough and when combined with the other form of cayenne you should enjoy some benefits.

  • Ginger. Ginger is known for a plethora of health benefits, if you get them in concentrated versions they may help improve thermogenesis by boosting norepinephrine production.

At 50 mg and the root form, we doubt its potency.

  • Acetyl L Carnitine. This is a nootropic and we don’t know why they bothered adding a nootropic that requires more than 150 mg to work.

WELLTHY SWEAT Fat Burner Formula Analysis

Based on what we’ve seen, it seems WELLTHY SWEAT Fat Burner is a type of supplement that doesn’t really burn fat per se as much as it does just make you feel hot.

The bulk of the ingredients are either for urinating or for perspiring, unfortunately you won’t find much in the way of ‘appetite suppression’ here.

And because much of it is all about excreting water, you could potentially lose weight quickly, but you will also gain it back as fast. The type of weight you want to lose should be more fat-derived not just based on your water levels.

We even think there’s a danger of dehydration when it comes to using too many diuretics.

It can be a little bit uncomfortable in my opinion, simply having to urinate too much or more than you are used to.

For all the reasons above, we think the premium price tag attributed to this supplement is wishful thinking on the makers behalf.

How it could be improved

Let’s say you felt charitable and decided to buy this WELLTHY SWEAT Fat Burner. Knowing that it doesn’t really put appetite suppression at the forefront, you would want to improve it right?

  • Glucomannan. Glucomannan is a type of fiber that gels and binds with water, it is one of the few ingredients in the EU to be legally approved for weight loss.
  • Garcinia Cambogia. Supplies hydroxycitric acid or HCA, this ingredient is a carb blocker. Carb blockers prevent enzymes from converting carbs to stored fat.
  • B-Complex. This blend of B vitamins refers to thiamine (B1) riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin, folic acid and the cobalamins (B12). These are often added in gym supplements because not only are they lost during exercise, but they are also important for the fat burning process in general.

Serving instructions

Take 2 capsules with a meal and at least 8oz of water to increase metabolism, calorie and fat burn. If sensitive to caffeine start with 1 capsule, and keep at least 4 hours apart from other stimulants.

How much can you take at once?

It says you should take 2 capsules per day. Because if you take too much, you might release too much water and become dehydrated. We generally prefer to see at least three separate servings for diet pills per day.

It needs a lot of stacking, preferably with more effective ingredients.

Sadly this means they designed WELLTHY SWEAT Fat Burner for short term results and not life changing transformations.

I would say that there enough better options that have longer lasting and more pronounced results for less money that WELLTHY SWEAT Fat Burner is not necessarily essential.

From what we can tell there isn’t enough creativity and research in this product to justify the premium price tag.

4.  My Personal Results With Lumiday

lumiday reviewAlthough I’m generally a “happy-go-lucky” type of guy, like most people I can get into a down mood every once in awhile.  While Lumiday seems to be geared towards people suffering from chronic depression issues, I decided to try out lumiday on the days that I did not feel so great, and help to deal with some minor anxiety I was having from my upcoming wedding.

The directions state to take 2 capsules daily with water, and allow the ingredients to build up in your system.  I started taking them on a monday, and I don’t know if it was a placebo or what, but about an hour later I started to feel as if I was in a better overall mood.  Not like a “high” feeling, but just overall more content.

After a few weeks I started to notice I was feeling generally calmer, with alot less anxiety.  It wasn’t like a “I don’t give a s$#t” attitude that you get with prescription medications like Xanax, but I was not worrying about the small things in life anymore.  As far as side effects, the only one I noticed was that I got a bit of dry mouth, but nothing substantial.

None of the ingredients in Lumiday stand out as making you tired. As with any supplement that can alter brain chemistry, everyone can react differently. L-theanine can promote relaxation but is balanced out by the Rhodiola which can give you energy.

Can I take Lumiday if I have high blood pressure?

Some of the ingredients in Lumiday may cause low blood pressure. Use caution if you are currently taking any medications to lower your blood pressure.

This business model is somewhat controversial, with manufacturers arguing that if the customer likes the product, it will make it easier for them to simply receive the product automatically.  The gray area lies in the fact that many customers don’t realize they will be charged at the end of their trial, they think they are just receiving a sample of Lumiday.  While the billing procedure may seem like a scam, it does not indicate whether or not the supplement works.

8.  My Recommendation

In general, the Lumiday reviews that we found were very positive.  Most of the testimonials reported enhanced mood, and a decrease in depression and anxiety.  Some users reported that the product worked great, but the price was too high.  Based on my own personal test results, I think it is worth giving it a shot. The formula alone is quite good and it does promote a better mood and energy overall in my own experience.

That being said, I would recommend you steer clear of their free trial.

While technically not a scam, they will end up charging your card continually until you call to cancel, which could leave you with a significant dent in your wallet. This is a common practice, especially with supplements or health products bought over the internet, but it is easy to fall for.

What is Somnapure?

Somnapure is a natural sleep aid designed to help you fall asleep faster, improve the quality of your sleep, helping you wake up feeling refreshed.  Made up of all natural herbs and extracts, it is available over the counter without a prescription, and promises no side effects and is not habit forming.

The fact of the matter is that it is hard to trust that any product can be entirely without side effects because that is just not really ever the case, although some can have a very low chance of side effects which is not that uncommon.

The basis behind this product is the ingredients.  Somnapure includes a potent variety of ingredients that have been used for centuries to promote healthy, natural sleep.  The ingredients are as follows:

somnapure reviewMelatonin -A naturally occurring compound that is secreted in the brain, melatonin has long been used to treat a number of ailments, including circadian rhythm disorders, headaches, mood disorder, and even cancer.

Somnapure contains 3 mg of melatonin, which places it on the higher end of the dose spectrum (1 – 3 mg is recommended).

 

L-Theanine -Commonly found in green tea, Theanine has been shown to help reduce stress levels as well as produce a calm and soothing effect.  However, there has been no research to confirm these findings.

Valerian Root Extract -Valerian root has long been used to treat insomnia, and some have claimed it is a miracle drug.  You can find valerian root in many different forms, including sprays, elixirs, even brownies.  This is the primary ingredient in Somnapure.

Hops -Hops are actually the primary stabilizing agent in beer, but have also been shown to have the same effects as Valerian root.

Somnapure also includes Passion flower, Lemon Balm, and Chamomile Flower.

Their have been no clinical studies pertaining to the effectiveness of Somnapure alone, but there have been several concerning the ingredients.

Reviews of Somnapure

We searched through a number of websites to find reviews of Somnapure, and the results we found were mixed.  It seems to have literally worked for about 50% of the people who took it, and the other 50% got little or no effects from it.

For example, on Amazon you’ll see that literally 51% of people rated it 5 stars, while the remaining 49% rated it 4 stars and below.

It seems to me that the vast majority of the negative reviews have more to do with the fact that they feel they’ve been scammed by the free trial of Somnapure, rather than the supplement simply not working. (more on this below)

My Personal Results

 

The directions state that you should take 2 pills about 30 – 45 min. prior to bedtime.  In my opinion, I think Somnapure actually does work very well.

I don’t typically suffer from insomnia, but like a lot of other people there are a few nights where I have trouble falling / staying asleep.

I only tried it on about 4 – 5 separate occasions, but for me it worked great.

I fell asleep quickly, stayed asleep for about 7 – 8 hours straight, and woke up feeling very refreshed.

The problem with a lot of these over the counter sleep aids is that typically they help you get to sleep, but then you wake up with sort of a hangover that seems to persist for most of the day.

This was not the case with Somnapure.

In fact, the only downside I would note was the smell.

It literally smells like shit, there’s really no other way to put it.

After a little bit of research I came to the conclusion that the culprit here was Valerian root, which seems to have a pretty nasty odor.

What’s the difference between the Original Somnapure and Somnapure PM?

There’s some pretty big differences between the original and PM version, most notably that the PM version promises pain relief to help you fall asleep.

Chronic pain is one of the leading causes of insomnia, and they may be on to something here.

So what makes this new and improved formula so different?

While the original Somnapure contains traditional sleep aids like L-Theanine, Melatonin, and Valerian, Somnapure PM contains weird ingredients.

What do I mean by weird?

Well, according to the information gathered from the CVS website, it contains Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nut, Fish, shellfish, Soy, and Wheat.

According to the label on the box, it contains 400 mg of Bromelain, 4 mg of Melatonin (giving it 1 more mg than the original), and a complete tranquility blend that consists of Valerian root extract, Hops extract, and Lavender.

I’m not sure if the CVS website is entirely accurate, but that’s what they’re telling us.

Price-wise, they’re nearly identical.  Somnapure PM retails at around $16, while the average price for the original Somnapure hovers around the $14 mark.

Review-wise, the testimonials I’m reading for Somnapure PM are almost identical to that of the original formula.  50% say it works, the other 50% say it didn’t do a thing.

My guess is the people that are leaving bad reviews likely have very SEVERE cases of insomnia, that of which prescription medications may be the only thing that may work for them.

Are there any side effects with Somnapure?

They “say” there are no known side effects associated with Somnapure, but as with any over the counter sleep aid it’s always possible.

For example, the ingredient melatonin has been well known to cause side effects like headache, depression, daytime sleepiness, dizziness, and stomach cramps.

The ingredient Valerian root also has it’s downsides, with commonly reported side effects like dry mouth, anxiety, and thinking problems being quite common.

One reviewer on Amazon said that he developed a rash after 2 days, however I personally feel that is unlikely based on the proprietary formula.

Also, because it contains sedatives, it’s recommended that you don’t consume alcohol while taking Somnapure, as well as avoid operating heavy machinery.

Is it addictive / cause any withdrawal effects?

I only took it for a few days, and when I stopped taking it I didn’t notice any withdrawal or addictive effects from it.  With that said, I would imagine your insomnia would return with abrupt cessation.

Is Somnapure gluten free?

According to the manufacturer, somnapure has not been certified as gluten free.

Can I break the capsules open and dump in a cup?

Not recommended, but I’m sure it’s possible.

You can find Somnapure both online and in several major reputable retailers.  GNC, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens all sell it, and the price ranges from as little as $11.88 (Walmart, online only) to as much as $69.99 (90 day supply on their official site).

Ordering online seems to be your best bet as far as price is concerned, and saves you the hassle of having to drive to the store to buy it.

The other alternative is to enroll in their auto-shipment program online.  You get a chance to try it out for 14 days, and if it doesn’t work for you, can cancel your trial and you won’t be billed.  Some people find this as a convenient way to purchase, simply because it’s a supplement you can take everyday.

However, many people don’t realize this when they’re signing up for the trial, and are shocked when they login to their bank or credit card statement and see the charges.

You can completely avoid this by purchasing it directly from the Amazon website.

This is nice because a lot of online stores selling supplements make it quite hard to cancel auto ship programs and you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it done.


Recommendation

Typically I don’t suffer from any type of chronic insomnia, but like most people, I do have my days where falling (and staying) asleep is not that easy.  I finally got a chance to try Somnapure out, and I gotta say it was actually a pretty decent sleep aid.  It didn’t smell like horse manure (like Alteril does lol), and it kicked in about an hour after I took it.

The first couple of nights I tried it I fell asleep pretty quickly (about 30 – 60 minutes or so), and woke up feeling very rested and content.  I only used it a handful of times, but each time it seemed to work it’s magic.  One thing I would definitely recommend is that you refrain from taking it with any alcoholic beverages, as this tends to amplify the “sleepiness” effect, but also seems to amplify hangovers 🙂

All in all, I personally think Somnapure is a very effective sleep aid that could work for just about anyone.  If you’re on the fence about this product, I say go for it!

We have to give credit to the company for honesty, as even their own website admits that this product, in their words, tastes like a**.  But funny, albeit likely true claims about taste aside, what’s in the stuff?  The ingredients are designed to kick your metabolism into high gear and to help keep your fat burning furnace going at optimal level, and it claims to get rid of excess fat from adipose stores with remarkable ease.

There is a reason why Clenbutrx has a reputation as a legend in fat burning.  Not only does this drink purport to burn fat, but it promises to help you retain mental focus, energy, and thermogenesis.  There is caffeine in the product in addition to a number of natural fat burning ingredients, such as N-methyl-B-phenylethylamine, yohimbine HCl, alpha-yohimbine, yohimbine HCL, octopamine, and vinpocetine, but it is designed not to create that jittery, nervous feeling.  The product is supposed to leave you feeling naturally energized.

We decided to see what users of this product, which is available from VPXSports.com think.  Most say that it is awesome, and almost every reviewer seems to take the company’s tagline and incorporate it into their opinion.  It seems that the product really “works like crazy” as the company states.

Recommendation

In all, Clenbutrx is backed by very sound research and has a fairly comprehensive ingredient list.  This, combined with the sheer number of users who have remained loyal to the product since it was first introduced, makes it easy for us to recommend.  It is designed to help increase fat burning, and every ingredient in the product helps to do this and to provide a significant energy burst throughout your workout without leaving you feeling jittery or uncomfortable.  The product is also fairly inexpensive to purchase, and seems an ideal fit for both hardcore gainers and people new to mass building.

With that said, while it may have some great possible benefits that can come with taking it, Clenbutrx does contain Yohimbe which is pretty dangerous and can carry some severe side effects.

When taking a product that contains Yohimbe, pay attention to whether or not you are experiencing side effects and if you do notice them, discontinue taking it and contact your physician if need be.

When looking at USP Labs Anabolic Pump, we couldn’t help but notice how short the list of ingredients was.  Two active ingredients, Phellodendron and Crape Mertle, were all that was listed, and the inactive ingredients simply included the gelatin that surrounded the capsule, cellulose, and magnesium stearate.  Having done our research, we already knew that these two plant extracts were necessary to activate GLUT4 hormones, and the short list of inactive ingredients let us know that this product isn’t made of useless fillers.

Would we recommend USP Labs Anabolic Pump? Certainly!  This supplement has sound science backing up its claims that it offers what you need to help keep glucose efficiently pumping to every muscle cell in your body to keep you energized, building mass, and protected against fatigue and energy.  It isn’t packed with chemicals and unnecessary ingredients, and users seem to love it.  With so few unneeded ingredients, it seems a great fit for maximizing a workout for those not genetically designed to build mass naturally.
